Forgot to mention, you can gain things or lose things based on where you are. If you're with Jane, you get the letters AJ tattooed on your hand, if you're alone that's when you lose your finger. If you're with Kenny or alone, no tattoo. If you're with Kenny or Jane you keep your finger.

I wonder if it's the new frontier that shot up the place That's a stupid name for a group of raiders to be honest. It sounds like raiders thinking or pretending that they are not raiders which is fine. New Frontier, however, sounds like something connected to space, the wild west or science. Not exactly something that originated during the zombie apocalypse. I can see it working for Fallout or Mass Effect, not so much the Walking Dead.
If I discover they originated out a space, science or wild west camp then I'll be completely fine with the name, however.

Damn. Must have missed it because it is definitely not up on the XBOX store right now. If so, it would seem like the early release was a mistake on the part of Xbox and Playstation 4.

Ya know this may come from own experience as a writer as limited as I may be or my vast exposure to various media and their antagonistic factions presented there within but... Bad guys and their organizations need to give off that vibe with their actions, personal and most importantly their name. I mean it can be taken from a differing language then you normally expect, german, latin, italian or spanish or whatever to give off a cool factor vibe but overall it needs to offer a sense of menace to the people encountering them. For example of what you are describing a good western analogue is the Empire from Star Wars, I bet you a quarter that most folks within that monolithic government and military they don't view themselves as a "bad guy" in that scenario. That's fine you can offer a twisted moral viewpoint of the world where your side is in the right for its actions, this has been done to varying degrees of success already but that isn't really my point here. Whether your group is ultimately nothing more then terrorists, warmongering mercenaries, some insurgency faction in regional politics or in this case some sort of raiding organization the point remains the same. The name needs to fit. I mean for example: Wolf and Hammer
Does any group named as such strike you as a group of traveling saints that preach the word of God or help the needy? I doubt it, the group in question stems from a UC Gundam side story manga in which they are acting the part of antagonists, basically for those uninformed or unaware of just what makes up Zeon remnants or whatever the short version is that these are the leftovers from a war around five years prior to the manga's opening and they are basically pissed off about their home no longer existing so they have taken to waging a guerilla war against the government responsible for the deed. Their name matches what they believe and what they do, and while yes you can have some groups like a few fictional religious organizations and other assorted groups that possess seemingly benign or even positive connotations with their naming that's more in the vein of them having a supposedly utopia or idealistic goal in which everything they do is justified, these people sound like they'd fall into that camp I guess, but ultimately that sort of antagonist faction doesn't fit really into the style of a zombie apocalypse scenario.

Anyway, I spoiled myself on the new Walking Dead season because I didn't trust Telltale's writing after S2. Seems I was right to do so. Suffice it to say,
For me, The Walking Dead Game ended with Season 1.

You know after reading the spoilers, I think they should've ended Clem's storyline at season 2. There's no point in continuing it if those are the results you're going to produce. Make her fate ambiguous if you want to avoid the "dreaded" happy ending!

Anyone use the story generator option to form your Clem? I had a save file that i could have used but i figured the story generator might help me nail down the personality i wanted her to have. I got Even Tempered Clementine.

I just finished Episodes 1 and 2. Here are my thoughts: I like Javier as a lead character, so far. I'm kind of happy that Clem is back to being a side character, although that makes me nervous for her fate in the long run. But Javier is a nice change of pace.
The relationship between Javier, Kate, and David is a landmine waiting to be stepped on. I'm doing everything I can to NOT encourage her, but the game is clearly shoe-horning you into a situation where you will have to protect her from him or protect yourself from him as he thinks you are cheating with his wife. It's interesting since it hasn't been done in the series so far, but I'm not enjoying it necessarily.
I could DEFINITELY do without another surly angry teenage boy who wants to prove himself. It's like this trope is required for TWD franchise. First Carl (in TWD), then Chris (on FTWD), now Gabe in the game series. Ugh.
I'm a fan of Tripp and Eleanor, for sure. Good characters. Tripp is, unfortunately, a total red shirt. Eleanor might be Carly 2.0. I'm just getting that vibe from her. Especially if the game is going to force the Javier-Kate thing. But I'm enjoying them so far.
Was definitely surprised by the two unexpected deaths -- I did not see Mariana OR Conrad happening. I would have tried to talk Conrad down if he hadn't grabbed Gabe. But he gave me no choice.
Now on to Clem -- I really love this character. She's probably my favorite (or second after Lee) in the entire franchise (including comics and tv shows). I'm not thrilled that they have forced a 'hardened' Clem in Season 3. I did everything I could to keep her good and kind in Season 2. I understand why, from the writer's perspective, and it makes sense for the setting. But I was hoping she'd not become a stone-cold bitch. I get that there is still some of Lee left inside of her, but I really wanted her to stay more like him. Unfortunately, I am sensing either a selfless sacrifice death or a "RUN, I'll hold them off" unknown fate for her in Episode 5. I kind of wish they could have just let her story lie with the end of Season 2. The more she's involved and the older she gets, the less and less likely that she'll not get an on-screen or implied death.
Final thought - I did NOT see David showing up in Richmond as a New Frontier member. That was a great surprise and now I cannot wait until Episode 3. I need to know what's going to happen. I'm so happy this game is back!

I've only finished episode one but so far, I do like it. I like Javi and his band. Heh, "I fucking love pudding". I also think the game looks good, I don't understand the complaints from some that it looks bad. For those curious: Clementine is only playable in flashbacks so far but I was prepared for that and it was not a deal-breaker for me. It was not horrible but there were moments that I thought were in contrast to how she'd previously behaved and not how she'd have acted with me in the driver seat. It's not nonsensical behavior, however. She was careful and still pleasent. Most were just minor but there were one major in the bar. The premise of Jane's departure still does not sit right with me but when I think about it, it may have been prenatal depression which can occur in the early trimesters.

I didn't like Jane's story either. It's so out of character for her to commit suicide. She didn't seem the type at all, so prenatal depression is a good explanation. Otherwise, it just seems like they needed her to go and thought that this would be "edgy".

I'm so happy this game is back! Heh, I think I already stepped on that landmine. In the flashbacks I've had Javier acting all proper and such. But I figure after several years of traveling together in a zombie apocalypse, raising the kids together, it might make sense for them to grow closer. Amd I figured David must be long dead. How foolish that I didn't follow the rule of "don't assume anyone's dead until you see a body, reanimated or otherwise" Trip at this point is a Mauve Shirt. He's lasted long enough that his death will have impact and not just be "proof of danger" Mari's death was a complete HOLY SH*T! for me. A shame, as she was my favorite family member. Conrad I knew was gonna do something stupid to get himself killed. It was written all over him. Re: Clem, keep in mind it's been a good two years since Season 2, and it looks like life has been hard on her no matter what happened. My own game saw Wellington overrun by raiders. She's now got a number of scars and there's no sign of AJ in the present day. Still, there seem to be signs of he old innocent self. In my game, she let Javi keep the chocolate bar when I had him mention it was for his niece. But yeah, I'd have preferred if her story ended in Season 2 as well.

I played a game where Clem went to Wellington, and she never mentioned Kenny except in the vaguest of terms (she knew a guy who was very protective of his family, but he changed). I have no idea what happened to him. It does make sense that we wouldn't really know what happened to him, I think. It may have been too cold around and too scarce in terms of supplies to stay so Kenny may have wandered on or it is possible that he might have ended his life which I would not necessarily see as out of character: he's finally gotten people whom he cares about to safety and he is very worn by the end of it. The old wolf can lay down to rest now and go on with that in mind and see his family. In the ending where he dies, I seem to recall that he's happy at the idea of seeing them again and is content, even happy to a degree, at dying. Then again, he may simply have had to wander on. I can see either fitting.
It may be that she mentions him later on. My Clementine never spoke of Jane to anyone or are you referring to talks with Wellington people in the flashbacks? There weren't anyone around at the 'mart so I don't know if that's the difference.
