Is this the launch trailer? And when you say cinematic trailer, do you mean it is blur style/in-engine trailer? Or a legit trailer with real ingame scenes? Not that I care to watch it which I wont, but just curious. The cinematic and launch trailer are the same thing. I haven't watched it and am still on the fence about if I will, but typically, these are the trailers you'll see on TV that are mostly cut scenes vs. in game footage. It's mainly a pre-launch push for those that are not even aware of this game, to go out and buy it. The contents of the trailer are probably along the lines of past Bioware launch trailers, which are similar to that of movie traiers, which features a ton of plot spoilers that would have better if experienced by playing the game rather than experiencing it on some Youtube channel. I am guessing that this launch trailer is Bioware's/EA's last marketing push....which means we will not get any information regarding character creation like we did with DAI where they released a character creation video which was spoiler free. Perhaps we might get something this weekend at PAX? |

If you've seen the ME2 Launch Trailer (Two Steps from Hell) then you have a good idea what the ME:A launch trailer is all about. It's definitely catchy and TV ready but not nearly as awesome! I would give it a strong 2nd place to the ME2 trailer though  At the end it says "in engine and representative of in game experience." So you can take that for what you will. On a tangent, I really wish that the ME:A Uprising novel was out now to keep me busy. I need my Mass Effect fix! Maybe I'll dust off my ME3MP skills instead. |

I know a lot of people have said that before, but it would make me happy. I believe Saints Row released their character creator a week before the game and you could just save your character for when the game released. When DA:I was released I had a minor eye surgery that morning. I came home from the hospital with an eye patch, loaded the game and sat as close as I could to the screen to look at all the details for my Inquisitor. It would have been great if I had the week prior or even the night before to work on the character. My Inquisitor ended up looking fine but it took quite a while and probably wasn't healthy for my good eye. The cinematic and launch trailer are the same thing. I wasn't around for the marketing of MET (or DA) so I went into each game blind (aside from a few things) and I had no clue Shepard was gonna die. Or wake up with Cerberus. Playing through the beginning was... :gasp:
It would've been a completely different experience if I had known the first time.

I watched about a solid minute today so I can't give my personal opinion but the chatter about the gameplay and dialogue seemed very positive, well Ian Frazier. Poor guy did not seem to have a good day. That and the usual amount (90%) of salt about Sarah and romance interests. |

I was wondering that too. I couldn't find any info about it in the forum threads. I wanted to know what the new tiers are....how many posts do we need to get to N7 status?
The place feels kinda dead today. I think a lot of people are hiding in their bunkers to avoid getting spoiled accidentally. 
So, non-spoiler question for anyone still out there: Will you play male or female PC first?
I normally go female when that's an option, but I kinda want to just get to playing right away once the early access opens up, so I think I will start off with default male. He's pretty to look at, which is very important for someone I'm going to be staring at for 100 hours or so.  I don't really care for default female appearance as of what I last saw, so it might take some time to make her look good. I'll have that time after I've played for a while.

If given the opportunity, I will always play female first. I like to play male characters on my second or third playthroughs but I always start with female. I plan on using the character creator as well, I like the default looks but I prefer to make my own. |

The devs changed the ranking because, and I quote. "we had more gods than Olympus" hahaha. There will be multiple default male and female models tht are based off a face model. It is unkown if they will be as high qaulity as the ones we have seen. You will be able to change your gender in NG+ so you will be able to play both genders while sharing character level. |

melbella just a quick warning if you haven't seen it yet: there's a comment about MEA in phoray's ME playthrough thread, from themikefest. It's vague, but still FYI.

At the end it says "in engine and representative of in game experience." So you can take that for what you will. 
I don't really care for default female appearance as of what I last saw, so it might take some time to make her look good. I'll have that time after I've played for a while.
