So, for anyone who has preloaded one of the deluxe versions - where is the soundtrack hiding? I can't find it anywhere.
Everything included with the Deluxe and the Super Deluxe (which I have) Editions will be unlocked on the day of release.

I've still only played the 1 hour last night and so far the only thing I don't like (beyond my poor performance cpu) is the save system, or lack of one. How far in do you have to go until you can make a hard save that isn't an autosave? Am I close?
Spoiler for how far I got:
I just landed on the planet and started to explore. It also appears that all char files are going to be dumped into a single folder, just like DAI. However, it looks like they may have pulled their heads out slightly and put the char ID part of the save file name at the beginning instead of in the middle so they are at least sortable by char. I'm going to test it out later by creating a second character. Once you get out of that area you should be able to save. I believe it's only priority missions that only do autosaves.

Naw, I already have a PS4 so I will just buy the game on that and play for the time being. My current PC is not really a gaming PC, just an all-in-on Lenovo PC that I use for school/work. Sometime later this year I will build a 4K/60fps PC along with a Asus monitor that is capable of such output. Hell, even though I am getting the game next week, I still won't be able to play it because I am also buying the prequel/tie in novel and I HAVE to read that before diving into the game. That reminds me: while the Nexus Uprising is a prequel, I think the aftermath of the event it references is something some players may want to experience on their own in the game before experiencing the event itself in the book. It's a bit difficult to explain without going into spoilers but basically there's this sense of ambiguity to the whole thing that can lead you wondering about various perspectives and what actual happened.
I think a loose comparison would be the difference between Columbus and Midsomer Murders: in one you see the murder unfold by the hand of the culprit and in the other you don't and have only the clues including various perspectives to form an idea of the event that may turn out to be true, not or a mix of both. This is based on my impressions, of course, so I may be wrong but I thought I'd mention it. It's why I've decided to hold off on reading the book because I suspect the ambiguity may deliberately come into play.
I dont get it. Are you saying that the novel details events from one perspective while the game shows it from another perspective? If so, I can live with that, I guess.... Again, this is why this novel's purpose has always been confusing. Is it a prequel in the manner Rogue One is a prequel for A New Hope? Or is it something different?

Does it really have a sci-fi vibe like Deus Ex or like a 90s action flick like ME2?

Once you get out of that area you should be able to save. I believe it's only priority missions that only do autosaves.Well, apparently the entire game (or trial?) is a priority mission because I've now made it to the Nexus and still can't save manually. It's like I'm playing Diablo or something.
Here is what my save files look like - no spoilers, just char IDs and progress indicators (chapter 0, chapter 1, and a bunch of autosaves) for file names.

It's definitely not the entire trial as I was able to start making manual saves at some point around where you are now. It's annoying, but think I saw a developer (I think it was Mike Gamble) say that they were looking into allowing manual saves on priority missions in a tweet, so maybe they'll patch it in.

Here's an example of the logic of some YouTube comments: "The major youtube and mainstream reviewers and going to give Andromeda a 8 or 9 out of 10 because they'll either be paid to say it's great or be stupid fan boys overlooking Andromeda's flaws which are terrible for an AAA rpg."
The parts that are obviously ridiculous and/or irrational are "paid to say it's great," and "stupid fanboys overlooking Andromeda's flaws."
I know it's the internet, but come on. You can't be seriously justifying this. Stupid fanboys? How about other people who are capable of making up their own minds? I'm going to play the game to have fun. If there are flaws, I'll talk about them, but I certainly won't be looking for flaws. Where's the fun in that?

I was finally able to save manually so yay! Now if I could just get the color scheme for my outfits to stick, that'd be great. I can successfully change the outfit, but not the color. I don't see an "apply" or "save" button, so how is it supposed to work?

If you read the book you will already 'know' some of the things that you find out early on in the game. In game you only learn them slowly through conversations and data pads etc which has a nice natural feel to it, where as if you read the book you wil 'know' this in a more rounded complete fashion but I think it truly would take the intruigue out of how you learn in game.

1. Ok ty - can you tell me what you rate the game (so far) out of 10? 2. And, is the animation thing overblown and really only distracting on a few NPCs or is it more of a universal issue? 3. Also, did it seem like DA:I in space? Obviously no spoilers 1. I don't like to rate things on a number scale for various reasons. One reason that I prefer to provide a non-spoiler description is because what annoyed me might not annoy others and what I liked might not be liked by others. Basically, I feel a description better allow people to see they are interested in the game even if I wasn't and if they aren't interested in the game even if I was.
I'm gathering my thoughts for the review but I can say that I loved the early access and thought it was great despite some minor issues.
2. I have to review footage that I recorded before I can really make an opinion about the animation. Right now, I think it'll differ for people as I wasn't very distracted by it but I know it might be a different story for others. I once knew someone who couldn't sit through Titanic because of all the editing errors that I never noticed. Again, I have want to look through my footage before I feel I can really say.
3. Now it is clear that there are elements from Dragon Age: Inquisition in it when it comes to exploration and colonization but I feel those elements have been vastly streamlined, improved and has a great importance to the story. Based on my impressions, you are also unlikely to encounter long stretches of silence as you explore as on the second planet, I did almost everything before I got around to the main task and I heard a lot of party banter while driving around. I know a number of people disliked that the Inquisitor was the person who was out in the field and performing these tasks but without spoilers, I'll say that there is a very good reason, in my opinion, for why Ryder is the one out in the field and performing these tasks.

Oh thank god, I did not like not being able to manually save especially since i'm the kind of person who reloads if I dislike a dialogue option I choose. I also couldn't figure whether there really wasn't a quicksave option or if I was just missing it?

I may not be the best person to judge this but I thought the music was good and fitted with a Mass Effect game.
Additionally, I didn't spend so much time fiddling around with the radio in the cabin but I thought the music there was a mix between Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2. Also, I can happily report that you can choose which song you want and turn it off without having to cycle through the music like you had to in the trilogy. The songs are even named so you'll know which is which.

... Yes and no. In the game, I believe it is said that the hanar are on the same ship as the quarians but the ship in question encountered technical troubles that delayed its departure. Based on the wording used, it seems the ship was still expected to arrive in Andromeda but at a much later date than the others and than initially planned. I believe the line also mentioned the elcor as passengers and possibly also the volus and more but I'll have to check the footage. With the hanar going, I wouldn't be surprised if we might see drells as well.
I've found the quote I was referencing:
"We'd hoped the quarians would be part of the first wave. But before departure in 2185, we got word they had technical problems with their ship. It seems they're also ringing along drell, hanar and other species as well. Managing all of their biological needs caused complications. We won't see them for some time to come."

I never got a hang of whatever system the save files in Dragon Age: Inquisition worked by and it was a complete bitch to replay segments of the game because of that. Heaven help me if I was trying to sort my files.
I stil wish we could have had the ability to name save files like we could in Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age: II.

Just a thank you to shechinah for their comment about the book and the way the events of that are told in the game as I was planning on not playing any ME: A till after reading the book but I am glad I decided to take the jump as you learn things in a sketchy way that feels very natural and I think it will be nice to read the book after almost in 'after action report' way that is just tidying up what you have learnt. I guess I may have to take that route then. Play the game first, aleast the early portions, then go back and read the novel to get better clarification, then proceed forward again with the game.

Here is the three casual outfits that were avaliable in the early access. I do not know if the casual outfits for the male version of Ryder is different. Note: tagged for size and contains no spoilers beyond the appearance of the casual outfits.

That's how I have decided to do it and even though I have only recently ducked in here as it was getting dangerous outside I have seen quite a few spoilers on the run up to release through BioFan news and IGN videos (though for me the damn Bioware official launch trailer is the worst for things it shows!!) I have the book on preorder so know the title of it and all the connotations that brings to mind but I have still been pleased that there are still little twists and turns in the 2 hours I have played regardless of all I 'know' already.

Well, I encountered the progression block in the game last night and I've done just about everything barring multiplayer so I think I'll start gathering my thoughts and formulating that review. Until then, I thought I'd share some more images of my Ryder to show how she looks in brighter lighting. Least the game be blamed, I'll note that the greyish tint around her eyes and on her cheeks is actually make-up. You can just barely glance the brown lipstick she has as well because I didn't raise the opacity enough
Note: tagged for size, not spoilers.

God, I cannot emphasis enough how much I love that you can roleplay a character that loves science and is a bit of a dork. Also, travelling in space is so gorgeous and I cannot put words to my feelings on it except through this clip: Experiencing all of the feelings brought on by that moment alone was worth the blackout by itself. I know it may be different for others but for someone who loves space and the idea of seeing it with my own eyes, it was wonderful. Just wonderful. Kudos to team for it.
