Hmmm from what I've seen of Angry Joe playing the demo, Prey looks incredibly generic and boring. I couldn't be any less interested. Even if the full game is good, the entire concept and style is very very different from Bioware, even before they went teletubbies in space. Frantic survival horror combat is not something I enjoy. Nor is first person (Bioshock Infinite was an awesome ride though). So personally I hope Bioware doesn't look at that game for inspiration. But do discuss away! I played the first game and after looking at some live streams... I'm meh. No rush to buy. Bargain bin.

I agree with this is as well as Link's points about learning from things in isolation. I'm just at a point where I dunno anymore with BioWare. I mean, the sooner that EA drops the axe on them, the better I'm thinking at this point. You do realize that may not happen right? There is still that Dylan game coming out, and for all we know, they are at work for MEA2. There is a good chance BioWare will continue on. Just because you don't like them anymore doesn't mean the company should vanish. Exactly. I see improvements, but I also see a lot of time has passed and the results are F***ing lacking. It's best to wait for the collector's edition and get it all in one package at a discounted price than f***ing go blind looking for answers at EA HQ. EA, Enthusiasm Annihilated.

I couldn't care less about any of these games honestly. Bioware games are practically the only reason I have an Origin account. And as right now I find it hard to care very much about Bioware... Yeah... I just don't care much either way, Bioware continues, Bioware dies, meh...
That said, I doubt EA will die any time soon, especially not because of Bioware - even if they become a financial failure. And I'm not saying it out of any particular love I feel for them.
Same - only (grudgingly) installed Origin to play ME 3 I'm Canadian, so I'm partial to seeing the studio's survive - there's a lot of great talent there - pity they didn't keep it all at one locale instead of dividing it up and losing cohesiveness. But that's corporate life. Probably got some funding deal in Montreal. The very first company EA bought out, was Batteries Included - also a Canadian company - which effectively killed PaperClip, my Atari word processing program back in the 80s. So EA started off early killing good franchises.

Two grindy games. I mean, that's fine. You can love grindy games all you want to, just let people know that's what you like. Like salt on your salt lick too? Is that a candy or something? If you're a horse I guess.

Here is where lays the problem. Bioware don't learn (proven with each new release). Bioware dictate and indoctrinate, they are above listening.

At this point, it's up to Bioware to look within themselves and to recognise they need changes. They need to admit they don't have the right people nor the talent on the ME team. They can't get away from the fact that MEA will forever be held up against the renown MET and that it has failed to surpass the trilogy.

Yeah sure let BW learn something from every game that comes out. There are lots of threads about bioware should learn something from ... why not? Let them copy something from every other game. If you don't like BW games now I assure you you will hate the new ones which are made with this formula. Bioware has their unique game making style that makes everyone play their games over and over again, sure they seem to losing this aspect but it's there nontheless. You smart boys really should stop this nonsense before they get drifted away from their core.

I don't know anything about Prey, cause I don't have it, but I just started Nier Automata and I see now how much difference amazing background music is making. This is just unbelieveable, I'm in love with this one. If only BW could bring back NORMAL background music, using even this average MEA soundtrack - I'm sure next playthrough will be much better experience.

LOL bioware games for me always offer so much more than other plain games. It's not by accident than apart from bjoware games ive not felt a thing about any characters/story apart from a few other games. i could not care less for competitive and braggng righrs. Bioware games are for immersion and sory/characters accompanied with a good combat system

No. Just no. Having each encounter be "tactical" for no reason at all. Having limited weapon selection. The combat also doesn't look that interesting. Because dumping DPS into everything that moves is oh so satisfying... Please, I'd rather just play a point and click adventure and do away with the facade of actual combat.
