#m Go to hell, keep your modern audience bullshit away from Metal Gear. They better not ruin any of the characters in Snake Eater. You know what modern audiences and past audiences have in common? They want you to tell a good story? They also want you to understand what made the original so great, seeing Maria shows me that the people in charge have no idea what made the story of Silent Hill 2 powerful.

More fuel for the fire... WILL WE SEE DRAGON AGE: DREADWOLF AT SUMMER GAME FEST? – ANSWEREDinsider-gaming.com/will-we-see-dragon-age-dreadwolf-at-summer-game-fest-answered/When is the Dragon Age: Dreadwolf Reveal?According to insider reports, which we’re working to corroborate, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will receive a full reveal this week, likely during Summer Game Fest. Whether it happens during the Summer Game Fest Showcase, Xbox Games Showcase, or elsewhere, however, remains to be seen.
According to the report, the game will be unveiled in Summer 2024. It makes the most sense to showcase the open-world RPG at SGF 2024!

Well…that State of Play sucked; honestly, I think it’s one of the worst ones they’ve released. The Xbox showcase is winner by default. The Silent Hill 2 remake looked really disappointing; I don't remember Angela getting that much prominence and the gameplay looks too similar to the RE remakes for my taste.

Since I haven't been on these boards in forever, I'm just now seeing this stuff. When I think of Exodus I think of the expectations for MEA. I think of the expectations for Cyberpunk 2077 - after all, it was from the people who brought us The Witcher so it was going to be The Best Thing Ever. I think of what so many people though about Starfield, which we all thought was going to be Fallout/Elder Scrolls in Space. I think of them all falling flat. I'll believe Exodus is a better game when I see it. Edit: Spelling I agree with the general sentiment of waiting and seeing. But those example make me wonder how much of it is because people have different expectations of what the game is. MEA did not live up for me but that is because I get bioware games for a compelling narrative and interesting characters. But the game still was fire in its game play, it was a open world game so those trend towards less compelling narratives as its more about the exploration. Yes it had technical flaws etc at launch. Cyberpunk 2077 at least on pc was great at launch and got better with its DLC, I understand it was a total cluster F on consoles. Starfield is a great game as well but I think people were expecting something it was not. For example I thought it was obvious with it being a massive space exploration game you wouldn't stumble across POIs every 20 feet like in skyrim, but apparently people were expecting that. And yeah like all games it has flaws. Like i think they should have had some way to randomize interiors of POIs so you never got a repeat. I've played hundreds of hours and had very few repeats, but RNG can kill it there. I think they should of added more to the smuggling mechanics, and I think they should of had something like a business venture or colonist quest line incorporated into base building. But I have still had a blast hundreds of hours in.
So while yeah there was some quality dips or issues, I wonder how much of the complaints were because people wanted the studios to never change. Just keep dropping the same slop over and over again for which people would then complain that it never changed or evolved.
I mean the GOTY last time was a CRPG, many gamers at least those online aren't looking for innovation lol.

Man are these guys like 12 years old or something? Who cares about giving people a "win?" If you don't care about the outfits why are you making a huge fuss over them? Paul is throwing these passive aggressive tantrums for no reason.

So I finally finished the main quest and I gotta say of all the stories Bethesda has done, Starfield is easily the most unique of them all. I'll gather my thoughts tomorrow but I was blown away at the end. Hopefully I can gather my screenshots lol.

Sooo it's been a while since I've last posted here but I recently came back to playing the game after the big update. I must say that the 60 fps update is amazing, animations are more fluid now and while I do have the occasional lag spike, it's nothing compared to the quality that it brings! Also, I just love the game options and how you can tailor make it to how you play. Stinks that it comes at a cost of lower XP if you decide to do things like increase how much you can carry and how much money vendors have, but on the flip side, if you want a hardcore gameplay, you'll have a large boost in XP which is a good reward to have and it the options stack meaning that you can level up fast or slow depending on what you want. It's something Bethesda hasn't done before and I have to admit, they've exceeded my expectations with this one. As for my adventures across the cosmos, I've done some whacky things with my partner: Andreja seeing the planets, doing quests, getting a new ship. It was a fun journey...... until I reached a certain point in the main quest. As soon as I find a way to add screenshots here, I'll elaborate on what happened.

Boycott Assassins Creed because of the online requirement bullshit, not because of this non-issue. You know that some gamers are going to do the latter lol.

All this and still not recorded as a Samurai despite apparently being in Nobunaga’s entourage and no retention of alleged Samurai status once his Lord perished. Also a Samurai is a Retainer but not all Retainers are Samurai. He was a servant, not a Samurai. Also, I’m going to share something very interesting and often misunderstood facts about sword laws in pre Meiji Era Japan: Commoners were allowed to carry short swords like Ko-Wakizashi and Tanto knives despite the numerous attempts to disarm the populace with size restrictions and sword hunts...generally speaking. Yasuke carrying a short sword or large knife on the field doesn’t make him anymore special than a commoner since he's just an armed servant.
BTW Boss, is something going on with the Mobile viewer? It keeps giving me the desktop view.
I have no idea why you are so invested in the notion that Yasuke could not have been a samurai. Yasuke did not merely fight for Nobinaga, he received what evidence suggests was a samurai’s stipend from him. You’re fighting against the consensus of historians that he was probably a samurai for… no discernible reason beyond “black samurai must be woke nonsense”. Even if the historical record does not definitively state he was a samurai, it’s far from a leap to say he was in a work of historical fiction, especially far from the worst reach AC has been guilty of even in its early entries. It certainly isn’t this implausible idea you’re making it out to be. Yeah all we know is that Yasuke was a Samurai but not for how long. Not surprised of his inclusion in the slightest.

I mean with FF7 rebirth underperforming financially, It was no surprise that Square was going to go multiplat. So, Xbox users might get FF7 remake sooner than we think.

Looking at subscriptions, the picture is dire. Look at gamepass: If true, then they’ve screwed themselves for the next 20 years and that’s being generous with the flat subscription rate. This reminds me of Disney who still has yet to make a profit from Star Wars to cover the initial cost of buying LucasFilm despite owning it for over a decade now. That is if the market stays the way it is now as well. I just bought a new 2024 television and it has the Gamepass App on it and frankly I was impressed with it playing the Dead Space remake, I had a little bit of lag a couple of times over two hours and it felt like I was playing it on a Series S graphically. For Microsoft has said that they believe the future is beyond consoles and I think that they are trying to prepare for that ahead of time so they aren't behind the curve like with consoles. Yeah, and I wouldn't really listen to what Mark Kern has to say given that he has out there opinions.

Sounds like Bethesda is going to be focusing on Starfield, Fallout, and Elder Scrolls from here on out. Judging by past Bethesda experience; they are all going to suck. But still somehow sell very well.

Holy hell, 200,000 negative votes and banned in 180 countries by Sony. Also the community management team are such fools: they gave contradictory information about the PSN requirements, insulted the fanbase on discord/twitter, talked about how brave they are for taking the heat, committed libel, and cheered for the backlash as an excuse to ban more players. Now that their unprofessional behavior has been exposed to the world; they are now running and hiding with their tails between their legs while their employer burns. It got so bad that the CEO of Arrowhead himself went on twitter to calm the flame of hatred. The dude managed to roll with the punches and get plenty of players back on his side; how does the CEO have better PR handling than all the community managers combined? Sony is just as guilty as Arrowhead for this radioactive crater they are in and I have a feeling it was sabotage on the part of Sony just as with Stellar Blade. Sony had a good thing going with Helldivers and Stellar Blade being fresh new PS exclusives. How can they fumble them both so badly in less than a month?

Well then, if you want to help AA and Indie creators actually BUY THEIR GAMES. Problem is, people say they hate AAA games but they keep buying and investing in them. Unfortunately, it takes time for AAA fatigue to seep into the masses the way it has for Star Wars fatigue. However, the runaway success of Palworld, Helldivers 2 and BG3 has accelerated the need for quality. I consider BG3 a AAA game and that game was made under special circumstances that'll likely never be replicated.

So, people online talk about single player games not being prominent in the market but yet the second one critically acclaimed single title comes along, THEY DON'T BUY THEM! It's little wonder why gaming companies don't listen to the internet.
