I just realized the other asari has eyebrow as well. BioWare. Why. She's probably PB's mother or some other contrived reason... That or they worked together in a waxing clinic where they developed a hobby of gluing pubic hair on their faces, and now are fighting for the rest of the good stuff.

Didn't like SAM's voice. You have an advanced, likely illegal, AI and that's the voice you chose? I didn't like it either, didn't like it at all. Sounds way too generic, the stereotypical calm and lifeless AI voice far from having the same impact and personality as previous AI characters had (EDI, Legion, Avina, etc). A horribly poor choice from Bioware. All that and it sounds like he has a cold as well. I don't know who was more annoying in this, PB or him. It's like they were in competition to irritate us.

A character doesn't need to be ~xpexial to be interesting, just well written. I don't understand this marketing from BioWare. Just release a image and some information that the fans will go on&on promoting the game for you. I wonder how much of this marketing is because they don't want to let down the few straight fans that inevitably are going to want to romance Gil. Like how there was backlash after Sera and Dorian were confirmed gay, they don't want to market a character that's just gonna reject (straight) players. By that logic, though, none of the hetero characters should be marketed either, though.It's unfair to Gil, and the other non squad, as a character. Want to make a big mystery about romances when it's not necessary, ok, but show his character to players. A photo and bit of his personality, and if straight players get disappointed if/when it turns out he's gay, well, tough luck. There are other people in the game. They should just come clean about the characters or hide them all. Why release the asari npc/non squad voiced by the GoT actress? Or Cora/PB's scenes that hint at/show romance? We all know why.

This is the future of cinematic gaming, which BioWare is part of with both ME and DA. They'll (critics and general masses) only look at past tittles to compare any improvement made in ME:A.
Does ME:A impress? Judging by the reaction we see every where but in the most fervent BioWare defender, no, it doesn't.
I don't think the punch animation is bad, for ex, it doesn't matter that it won't connect because it'll happen so fast we won't be able to detect it unless we pause or play it in slow motion. The awkwardness of the other animations is inevitable, though. Take Peebee/Scott scene, it's awkward, it has obvious cuts as if the scene is composed of tiny movements fused together, but it doesn't flow organically as one, they are stiff. So, jump on him --> cut to his face, hello darkness my old friend -> cut to peebee, mem'd head tilt.
Just my misinformed and illogical opinion. Is is a single character game with very limited RPG elements including a linear story and limited dialogue opportunities (Tomb Raider) really the best comparison to BioWare games? I will never understand why people compare it to Witcher either but I'm not going to tug that cord right now. Context is important when making comparisons, so yes it is illogical. Are people really serious about wanting high quality hair physics? Ignoring the fact that you cover your hair half the time, do you really think most players will be able to handle that when it's a fast-paced shooter RPG and you have 2 other companions? In any case there's at least some physics so there's a middle ground here. Don't compare it to Tomb Raider when it's a design choice with a vastly different opportunity cost. Yes, it is because mocap is everywhere, and good animation is something the general public, not I, demands now from any cinematic game. BioWare can't hide from criticism, and fans wanting to give them a pass for every flaw, especially recurring, won't help them in the long run. They need to feel the pressure to improve, otherwise they'll stagnate more than they already are in terms of delivering something with quality. Also, this isn't DA. I'm more generous with the DA team because we all know is seen as the redheaded spawn for EA and it also has different races options for pc, which complicates things, plus it was their first take at the new engine. I said nothing about hair here, btw. While I think BioWare should improve their playmobil abomination, they can't afford to have TB hairs in their game, as in they have a chargen in ME/DA and plenty of npcs. Again, BW's hiding their head in the sand to what's going on in the industry only hurts them. 'Oh, but it's too hard for poor BW' isn't a good excuse to a company that wants to be seen as AAA.

The animations are really bad, bioware is being left in the dust by the rest of the industry. The cartoony style they have for it doesn't help matters. You have the soul less eyes of the characters and the awkward, goofy animations and it's too much. If this wasn't a game that relayed on cinematics, you could easily ignore it. Whelp, I spoke too soon. Sorry, I wasn't aware we couldn't be critical of BioWare here. My bad. Hey guys, I don't see anything wrong with the game? lol It's BioWare, who cares! Is that better for you?

Anyway, just because 3 abilities are OP doesn't mean others don't have any use. Overload was always useful, since ME1. With "minions" and bigger enemies. Stripping an enemy of its protection quickly or making it vulnerable for seconds, to set off combos etc etc.
Since we can't control our party usage of power, I'd rather they use their "passive" skills than ran off to die. Let's hope Liam doesn't mistake himself with wolverine too much.. Of course, but when you have abilities that allow you to just ravage through everything there's no real point in playing tactical. It's just like DAI. As a reaver I hardly needed the rest of the companions abilities to melt through everything. But that's valid to all classes and skills. When we master them, we don't really need others most of the time, but it's nice to play as a "team". Talking about ravaging, the most devastating combo I've witness was when I used a unknowing vanguard as my pawn to set my tech combos with the engineer in MP. That was before BW nerfed the tech combos. The place was crawling with enemies, so I used incinerate, overload (in this order, so it would detonate right with charge), shoot the geth's backpack and let the vanguard go for it. They died so fast and beautifully not even a drell with 100+ 'nades could've managed better. The vanguard player was utterly confused, he stood still for a moment, then looked around and if he had a mic I'm sure he'd be babbling about miracles.

Who needs overload when you have Charge, Nova and Lash. To make biotic explosions more effective (pre removing shields), to set tech combos, for insanity.

I don't think his voice/accent is sexy, but I quite like it. It has a nice quality, a boyish charm, that suits Liam well.

BioWare doesn't learn. That's the problem, they refuse to learn in some aspects, to listen to valid criticism.
Instead, they pretend that everything is fine and dandy, coverup their flaws; game after game. They'd rather pay attention to their fans that are deep in their bubble than try to improve their shit.

I don't think they made any changes to her face. Just learned how to make better screenshots, or chosen non awkward expressions. She's still smiling at nothing.
Liam is seriously a CUTE.
And daddy is hot.
Kett's designs still a mess.
Game looks visually good on those screens.

People need to stop comparing Sara to photoshopped images of Jayde. They look the same:
It's just the animations and the perpetual smiles that make her weird in game.

What's the difference between these and previous versions? It's a different focal length. But people will ignore this and insist Scott is a "manlet". edit. forgot gull body. Anyway, it's not about Scott being short, but BioWare being unable to make him more proportional. "Manlet" was just internet mocking.
