Not trying to sound dramatic, but I really feel like it's getting outta hand. If Sara isn't a decent looking woman, then people need to start telling me just what the hell is, because I would date the shit outta this girl.
The reason why I'm getting a tad bit offended by all this though, is because I'm looking at people pick apart little things like "Her nose is too big!" and "Her mouth has weird proportions, and her eyes look derpy." I mean jesus christ if people ever wonder why women obsess over their looks in our society, then here ya go. I'm not here to argue whether or not she looks amazing, but she absolutely doesn't look bad in the true sense of the word, so I don't know why people always gotta exaggerate.
Furthermore it's funny that these same people complaining conveniently ignore the fact you can customize the look of your character. Something that's existed in Mass Effect since....um...the first game. Almost 10 years ago. Far as I'm concerned the Sara = Ugly thing is just a shitty meme at this point that people are just hoping on.

default sarah is very ugly indeed, especially with that large protruding lower jaw and horrible nose. facial animations are still completely dodgy, it's looking really really bad on that front. might have to skip the cutscenes

Yeah those complaints got old reaallll fast. By old i mean like you said its became a meme(just go on /v/, even Bro Ryder has become a meme).I mean i get that she looks a bit weird but thats more on the game janky animations part than her face model. Just look at her here.  She looks fantastic but the in game animations leave alot more to be desired. Some of the complaints atm are silly and borderline sexist but whatever. Personally im keeping my sis Ryder the same with just darker skin and different hair(if you can modify the default faces). |

I appreciate that BioWare makes characters who, while pretty, actually look like someone you could bump into on the street.
I'm guessing that, judging by the photoshops some of them do to 'fix' these 'ugly' characters, that the people complaining about that don't do much bumping into people on the street. Or...being outside in general.

I think she looks fine. I quite like her look actually. Can't wait to play around on the character creator!
Not that I'm any good at making faces, I suck actually but with her default looking that nice already I'm feeling optimistic!

In all the ME playthrus, for both male and female, I never used the default look. But I'd have to say, in both instances, John and Scott do look better then their female counterpart. Until ME3, even default femshep was "meh" at best. Default male shep looked loads better in ME2/3.
For me, its the eyes, if the eyes look really creepy....I just....nope. Going to change that asap.

I mean, I do think she looks quite good, but I also think improvements could be made.
Something about her jaw and cheeks makes her smile like a kid who just got their braces off. I find it to be a jarring expression, personally. Snd I think it could be fixed by changing her lower jaw, mouth, and cheek propertions.
