You know....the constant complaining towards Sara's face is getting to be kinda offensive.

I don't really see what's offensive about having and voicing the opinion the characters look bad. It's not like Bioware has ever been the best in that department.

Remember Sera? I love that girl but damn, she kinda looked like melted butter.

I mean, ok...I guess if you're seeing people legit mad that they don't want to bang a character, then that's pretty crap. I just haven't seen much of that myself

'Growing thicker skin' doesn't solve the problem.

I think the reason why this one was frustrating to me, is because she really looks fine, but there are so many people acting like she's an offense to the eyes. Like really? I think that's half the reason I'm annoyed with these complaints. It's the exaggeration of it all. The only real constructive criticism I've seen towards Sara's face, was about her animations when she talked. Which I think is totally fair, and I agree.

It did for me. And if THAT constitutes as a problem in your life then you must be living a very sheltered life indeed.

I actually had that stuff said to my face most of my life, so it's harder to just let it go, but I'm just glad I don't go near guys like that irl. Heck I've yet to meet any guy irl nowadays that knows how to treat real women right. I like gentlemen, old fashioned ones who hold the door for me and stuff, but now I find I'm always holding the door for them LOL

But yeah even if this wasn't personal, I'd feel like you do because this is becoming so regular and it's pretty sad. But so is everything about the net nowadays right? Haha

They do that anytime Bioware does anything they don't like. Gay characters? Agenda. Women that don't look exactly to their specifications? Agenda. Less buff male characters? Agenda.

Everything to them is some kind of agenda unless it specifically caters to them.

But we're not talking about guys lusting over hot women on a Bioware forum. I wouldn't really be bothered by that. No more than I was by all the fangirl drooling over Cullen anyway. It's annoying when it gets excessive, but I can ignore it. We're talking about guys calling female characters hideous because of this or that flaw that real life women have. I don't see that happening for male characters. Go into Liam's thread and find me one post (other than the one obvious troll) where someone is picking apart his eyes/jaw shape/cheekbones/etc. Find me one meme in there where someone has 'fixed' his looks. Now go into Cora's or PeeBee's. It goes on for pages and gets brought up again and again.

Go back to Inquisition, and yeah, there was some critique over Solas because he was bald and had pointy ears. But it was nothing compared to the enraged backlash over Cassandra that continues even now, long after whatever qualms people had over Solas' looks were replaced by people talking about his actual character and place in the story instead.

You know what though, growing a thicker skin only ignores the problem.

Why not work to be better people and improve society, rather than tearing others down and then just expecting them to cope with being insulted?

I remember in the trilogy, we couldn't actually modify default Shepard's face. We could create a new face, but we couldn't for example, give Sheploo green eyes and thicker hair. I'm wondering if we'll be able to do that for Ryder.
