Says the guy who is offended by people complaining about default character look in video game. LOL Knew you were gonna say that, glad you did, thank you for making the hack response. I've gotten annoyed over people complaining about something as minuscule as a character's default face. A character who's look you can customize. Then you got pissy over me calling people out on their obvious bullshit, and you bring up them spending their hard earned money. If Sara's default face is actually a dealbreaker for anyone who's thinking about buying this game, then that's some of the most trivial nonsense to get upset over.

You know... the constant need to defend looks of fictional character is getting kinda funny.

I mean, I do think she looks quite good, but I also think improvements could be made. Something about her jaw and cheeks makes her smile like a kid who just got their braces off. I find it to be a jarring expression, personally. Snd I think it could be fixed by changing her lower jaw, mouth, and cheek propertions. And we can do that, so people really shouldn't complain.

That's all.

People have every right to complain about everything they wish to, yes that includes irrelevant things like character default look. It's you who is offended by irrelevant thing people say and cries on forum about it. And apparently you don't know what subjective opinion is and how it works. Lastly you injected irrelevant gender politics in to discussion about video game character, in attempt to discredit people who think differently, great job there.

Especially a trailer focused on combat. Sooo, what do you want? People on youtube should understand how wrong they are and stop complaining about everything? Well, not gonna happen. Or after reading negative comments you need some kind of confirmation from BSN, that she's indeed fine? Or you are concerned about drop of morale standards of the internet and objectification of game characters?

Then games can keep improving. True, if it's due to facial animations that people don't like her, then I guess you can't work around that by creating a new character. They did say they were working on that though, and I do hope they have improved them since that demo with Sara and the disarm scene.

In all the ME playthrus, for both male and female, I never used the default look. But I'd have to say, in both instances, John and Scott do look better then their female counterpart. Until ME3, even default femshep was "meh" at best. Default male shep looked loads better in ME2/3. For me, its the eyes, if the eyes look really creepy....I just....nope. Going to change that asap. I suggest darker? Lighter eyes show a bit too much... soullessness? This thought popped into my head: Not so much his face as its the eyes...esp when he got shocked or angered, they would nearly bulge out. But to be honest, unless they are mo-capping some stuff, sometimes the default doesn't come out quite as you expected. Knowing me Ill spend at least 30 mins in the CC alone on something as mundane as eyes but then again.....I prefer green or grey eyes.

Anyone else here who disagreed with me simply said she does think she could use some work, or that they just simply don't like her. You on the other hand seemed to have a more defensive attitude. Hence why I called you touchy.

Or is it the constant need to call out fictional characters as ugly that's kind of funny? Especially when 99% of the time it's the women being criticized. Sara is ugly, Cora looks like a man, PeeBee looks like Shrek, Lexi apparently also looks like a man (yeah I actually saw that). And what's funny is when I see a meme comparing Sara to a 'fixed' version that looks like Barbie or some character in an anime game and see guys be like "that's what a real woman looks like." Maybe, as others in this thread have said, you should go outside and see what a real woman looks like, because it's definitely not that. And as for wanting hawt chicks in your games because apparently that's why you spend you money on them... I play Bioware games for the story and the characters and the quests and the lore and the combat and also the romance, yes... I don't play them to masturbate to. Might I suggest porn? Plenty of it out there for free. And yeah, I get being disappointed in your romance options because you don't happen to find them attractive. Fine. But going on and on about how hideous the female characters are to where it lessens you enjoyment of the game makes you sound super shallow. And these complaints about a playable protagonist you can customize are even more ridiculous. Don't like her face? Change it. And if you plan on playing a male character... dude, that's your sister. Are you seriously complaining that she isn't hot enough?

It goes both ways, if you only wrote that you disagree about what people think about Sara's default looks that would never prompted my initial response. But instead you wrote aggravated post and you got aggravated response in return.

That's all. There's more than one face to choose. Find the one with the more narrow jaw and work from there. I had to do that with my Inquisitor. We'll make it work! Exactly. I think it's fine to not like the default Sara. I think she's cute, though I'd prefer a different look as well. But there's going to be a bunch of presets, all based on real people. Even someone not confident in their ability to make faces should be able to find one with a facial structure they like, and tweak it. Also, I'm still hoping for face codes! Although I love playing in the CC and making my own faces, I tend to make my characters look pretty similar, so it's nice get inspiration from other players.

Women obsessing over looks in large an evolutionary trait to attract a mate and has nothing to do with people complaining about default character look in video game. But hey you found another thing to cram gender politics in, good job there. Sara and some other characters look mediocre, people have every right to complain about product they spend their hard earned money on. You being offended is a most irrelevant thing. But there are women who may read these complaints about Sara and Cora who might think, "If this is what they think about the look of a pixel woman, what do they say about real women and how they look?" The line between game and reality can become blurred when insults of ugly and man jaw seem to be casually thrown about. Then you add the photoshopped versions of these characters others create to 'fix' their appearance and it's disheartening as a woman to see that. "That is what a woman should look like" Really? I don't care if someone doesn't like Sara's default look, that's cool, you (general not specific) don't have to. But vehemently slandering her appearance is a reflection on how women in real life are treated for their appearance.

I happen to be a woman with looks like that (square jaw, short hair) and yes, it's very offensive, but everything on the net is because people cowardly voice their thoughts behind a computer screen. Just have one of these shallow guys here say that to a woman in real life. They won't be getting anything but an ice pack down there.
