Yeah that was bullshit lol My only real gripe with this flick... WTF is this shit? Hannah Montana??? Ugh, go watch Game of Thrones then if you three want blood. Also, Star Wars has the same amount blood. You don't need blood to tell a story.

Not referring to cultures, or segregation at all, my first concern is security. How would superpowers react to the emergence of a hidden superpower that makes them all look like primitive chumps? Not well I'd imagine.
But if we're talking cultures I think the concern is less "appropriation" (indeed, I think the idea is they want others to appropriate their culture vis a vis being more enlightened) and more being overwhelmed. Wakanda is tiny. They may be the most advanced nation in the world but I doubt they'd be able to put up with shit like the RL refugee crisis, from all relevant points of view. Not to mention that they've been hidden for centuries, millenia even. That secrecy is part of their culture, and all that got turned upside down by T'Challa "Iron Man'ing it up".
In short, Wakanda is what it is because they a) won the national resource lottery and b) took great pains to keep the rest of the world from fucking that up. If I had a stake in it, I'd certainly not want b) undone. Huh. So does Cap's shield passively affect anyone around him? And that may be in the comics, but it would be a fail arrangement in the movie continuity. Infinity War is coming. Warlock seems like a post Thanos thing. It ain't the Infinity (-1) Gauntlet. The only other recourse is to have Warlock show up only to get smacked down and possibly killed in the first five minutes. That doesn't gel with the amount of planning we've seen go into this. It's possible he will only get all gems in the second movie, and they will reveal the final one between one of the movies released in the meantime. Possible. Originally the third and fourth Avengers movies were going to be ""Infinity War Part One" and "Infinity War Part 2"

I am pointing out that Star Wars has more blood, and is more believable than that throat-slitting scene, which was completely ridiculous. There are dozens of ways that could've been shot, without having to focus on the gore (or lack thereof) Very bizarre decision by the writer/director

You kind of do, if the story involves somebody slitting someone's throat There's this little thing called books that have been telling stories in them for generations. Like I said go watch Game of Thrones for your "realism" then. We're talking about a superhero movie with unrealistic abilities in the first place here.

Also, in Star Wars gun shot wounds don't leave blood, they just fall and die.

To be fair to Star Wars, if you were to slice into someone with a super-heated glow stick, it would probably insta-cauterize the wounds.

Right...clearly. Care to elaborate? Cause I saw a very different movie. >throat slit >no blood Like 3 seconds of footage to sum up the entire movie? Get the heck outta here.

My guess is Natasha/Black Widow If it is anyone Hawkeye is the most logical bet, I mean Loki already turned him into a mind slave once and could be easily explained by lingering programming from when that happened. Unless it is not an actual Avenger and instead a Shield agent then it is probably that lady who's name I forgot[\spoiler]

I really love this movie and I'd say it's easily in my top 5 favorite marvel movies. My only problems were the CGI at some points and the lighting during the first black panther fight scene.

This seems apropriate: I'm not big into super hero's myself. But I like the idea. I just don't like everyone making a big deal because he's black. I think its great. I mean just compare the amount of black superheroes with white superheroes. Most white kids who grow up and want to play superhero will have an entire list of characters to choose from. Meanwhile the black kids that grow up didn't really have that option. And before people will yell "They can just play Thor or Iron Man regardless", yes this is true, but that's not really how kids think. Now they got a really badass superhero who's on par with Spiderman and the like, especially after Infinity War. Black Lightning Black Panther Blade Cyborg Vixen Cloak Dethlok Bishop Luke Cage Sam Wilson (Falcon/Captain America) Static Steel Spawn Storm Shuri Miles Morales All black, off the top of my head. There are a LOT of black superheroes.

Funny, when I played superheroes as a kid, I always made my own. A super derivative expy of one superhero (or several), sure. But I can't recall wanting to be an existing character per se.
Also Blade and Spawn > Black Panther. And speaking of Spawn, the kids I knew that were most into Spawn were also some of the whitest I knew. And when I saw the HBO animated show, I was obsessed with the voice (Keith David, baby!), the visuals and the style. Skin color was the least of my concerns.
I think the takeaway is make the character awesome first, the rest will come, in all colors.
