Doesn't matter which dialog system, upper-right was always the best dialog option :-p

That's awesome news. I've hated every unavoidable party member death, or party members that quit the party in Bioware games. Yoshimo, Bastila, Ashley/Kaidan... they piss me off so much because you build a party around them, or you just like them, and then they are not available anymore. Annoying! Yeah they die for story reason, but gameplay should come first. You can build a great story without some BS death.
It was a lesser aggravation with the death of party members in ME2, or Wrex in ME1, because if you knew what you were doing you could avoid them all.
Anyways, it's a relief that in ME:A I won't have to deal with that bullshit.

It would be great, but I'll have to say no because I don't think they could do it justice. The aliens would have to be CGI, too much CGI for TV... and TV can't reproduce the depth of character interactions like an RPG game can.
You know what, it could work if it was an animated series, like the Star Wars shows, but for a more adult audience, rather than family friendly.

Personally I realized not long ago that I already knew too much about ME:A. The best part about playing the original ME series is that I knew almost nothing going in, and it was a fun ride full of surprises. Now with Andromeda, I already know the look of all the squad mates, even the personality of some, I know who the bad guys is, I know what the ship looks like inside and outside, and have a good idea what the plot is in general. This is freaking bad. It's not quite spoilers, but a lof of elements of surprise are just gone and I don't want to know anymore.
I'm still hyped, but I'm going to be very wary of the ME:A marketing campaign from now on, and stay away from spoilerish stuff.

The mass effect is more a science thing than a specific device (like mass relays). The Milky Way races going to andromeda already master mass effect science/tech and they can just build whatever they need (biotics, weapons), as long as they can find element zero in Andromeda.
The big issue is mass relays, which were built by the Reapers and are certainly not present in Andromeda. This might be why the game seems to take place within only one star cluster. Even though in the ME games we could visit 1-5 star systems within a cluster, there can be in fact thousands of stars in a cluster, so it shouldn't be a problem for the game to provide us an a big enough sandbox to play in, even if it's not galaxy sized.

I usually prefer to play the male because I want to romance a female, so I'll play Scott. If there's a good gay option for Sara, I'll play her in my second playthrough.
And I'm gonna go with default appearances because they probably look better than anything I can make :-p

Obviously they pick the colours more desirable for the main audience. Young men prefer white chicks and black sidekicks.
I'm half joking, please don't hate. I love black chicks and white sidekicks too. Just not as much :-D

I'm sorry you feel that way, and that your fears were confirmed. I'm still interested about the family dynamic though.Same here, I'm looking forward to how it all plays out. Same here too, I'd rather play a well fleshed out character with an interesting back-story than a blank slate with poorly developed backstory.

is it just me or this game has chromatic aberration? Yeah I thought that too... it's a bit stupid really, why would they immitate the effect of cheap telescopic lenses in a game? Because that's how people are used to seeing planets when they look through a refractor telescope?

gtx 970 will run it, but never above 40 fps DAI runs on consoles too, but on gtx 970 never reaches 50 fps at 1080i have a gtx 970 too and i'm thinking to replace it by a better gpu this game has lots of shadows, light effects, details, big maps, etc very gpu demanding You sure, because I hit 60fps without drops at 1080p on my 7970, and a GTX 970 beats the pants off of my card. Good to know. I didn't play DA:I, but my card is an HD7970, and my CPU is the first ever core i5. They have both serviced me very well for several years, and looking at the gameplay footage, I believe I should be able to get 60 fps @ 1080p and high settings, because I easily can with similar looking games.

Personally I would not like a control scheme with a "switch powers" button. Yes it allows for more than 3 powers, but it's so easy to mess up in the heat of battle and trigger the wrong power.
If we're stuck with no more than 3 active powers at a time, I will build for 3 powers that work well togheter and the rest of my points will be in passives. Can't see myself changing powers "load out" in between fights just because some powers work a bit better against different enemies or whatever. This type of game mechanics are tedious as hell.
Bring back the power wheel please...

Games are so easy these days...
If I want to know where the missable collectibles are, or if I want to know which conversation choice will have a better consequence for me, I'd rather trust the internet than a guide that was written rush rush with an incomplete version of the game.

Play the vanilla version now, and play with all DLCs in a year or so...
I just hope there's no BS DLC this time that releases at launch or a couple weeks after launch, which is clearly main content that was cut for the purpose of making more money. I remember those closed rooms on the Normandy SR-2 and leftover space in the character selection screen... Sorry EA, but I never paid for those DLC, better luck next time.

Recently I re-installed ME2 from my physical collector edition disk... holy cow what a treat that package was. That premium box, neat art book and the way everything is packaged inside, the Cerberus passcode card...
They don't make them like that anymore. That's why I go digital.
But even though I'm a huge ME fan, I have yet to buy it. I want the feedback from the multi-player beta to see what people think of the gameplay. And I want more real gameplay footage from the single player campaign, because what we've seen so far was clearly very buggy or lacking in several department.
