I don't want more weapons, there are enough. What's missing is ways to use the melee weapons properly. In ME:3 you could tap the button to hit fast or hold the button for a powerful hit. Here it's a powerful hit all the time and its clunky and slow.

Yeah, it is beyond bizarre that the full-auto snipers are doing far and away better damage per shot than the semi-auto assault rifles. It's like a different person balanced each weapon class and nobody compared notes. Semi-auto assault rifles like the Mattock... 30 trigger clicks to kill one basic grunt, I swear to god after a game I need to put my index finger on ice.

My only issue with Peebee is that she is a Liana with Sera's personality. Oh now that's insulting. Please, Sera was a special kind of disgustingly bad character. How they ever let her be in DA:I is beyond me. She should have been killed at the conceptual stage. When I see her retarded face or hear her aggravating voice/accent, I want to put her out of her misery and in this way make Thedas a better place. Peebee is nothing like that. She's kind of adokable if you don't mind the terrible writing. Also her voice actress killed it, probably one of the best performances in this game.

Try human Sentinel or soldier. Raptor is best AR. Revenant also rocking. Disciple great shotgun. Also love equalizer and charger. Lots of great weapon mods in the uncommon tiers from 20 k packs.... Been trying to get those, but it's giving me character and gun upgrades all the time... They're almost maxed now, so eventually I'll get those darn mods.

If that's how we were meant to play the game, there would actually be a way to COMMUNICATE with the other players. And no I would rather not hear some random guy speak loudly in his poor quality speakers, or hearing some kid's bad music in the background even when he's not speaking. This is the second reason why I'm not playing much MP anymore, the fact that there's no way to chat. Sometimes I would like to say "thanks" when a guy goes out of his way to resurect me, or just say "gg" at the end of a game. Or what the hell, use chat to team play: "someone use Cobra RPG now!!" Those little things matter, and Bioware didn't bother implementing them. What. the. hell. Oh boy. I even put the "/s" at the end and some people still don't get it. Oh god, I feel like such a douche now. Sorry my internet lingo didn't include /s. In any case, your post allowed me to vent on the lack of text chat, so worth it :-p

Because that's not how you play the game. You need a team of four with a good service record, a pre-planned strategy, kits and setups that play to each other's strengths and weaknesses, good communication, and a professional can-do attitude. Plan, co-ordinate, adapt. I don't know what you're thinking that you can just hop online for half an hour, slap any old gun on a random character and join some randoms and shoot some baddies /s If that's how we were meant to play the game, there would actually be a way to COMMUNICATE with the other players. The deluxe edition guns don't upgrade past tier 5 and the scavenger armour set don't upgrade at all and gets obsolete fast. There are a million paint jobs better than the special one too. Enjoy! (p.s. sorry, didn't mean to make you feel bad about your purchase, but it IS a rip off and hopefully other prospective buyers benefit from my post) It is objectively a rip-off, but completionist fans may want the stuff despite the additional cost. In my view it's not quite as bad as 'Spoils of the Avvar' but it is in that league. I have the deluxe stuff, I recognise it as poor value, but there it is... Oh, yeah, I should have mentioned I have it too ;-) I'm hopeful that they will fix the gun upgrades through a patch, because I actually like the sniper and the assault rifle...

I recently moved away from Vanquisher and started using assault rifles and shotguns on various characters. Holy hell what the fuck is that? It takes 1-2 magazines to kill basic mobs, and don't get me started on shielded/armored foes. Not only do you barely do any damage, but you are often in a position to die faster than if you were sniper. All risk, no reward?
Seriously I'm sick of using snipers to get any real damage output. Yeah I know there are other playstyles that don't rely so much on guns, but I like guns. Can we just increase damage accross the board by 50% or something, I'm shooting BB guns and it's fucking boring.

Ignoring story choices and consequences (or lack thereof), there's too much down time and travel in Andromeda to make it fun to replay. Mass effect 2 and 3 are like bang bang action non-stop, with lots of interesting dialog between missions if that's your thing.
In Andromeda there is a lot of load screens and driving and jumping between planets and doing 10 side missions simultaneously and not really following the plot of any of them...

They just called it like that for ME2 nostalgia, which is very uninspired because there's nothing here about loyalty. They're all loyal to you already, no matter what.

Not yet... Multiplayer is where the fun is at at the moment.
One thing is for sure though, the replayability of single player is pretty low. Considering there's not really any game changing choices, "trying a new class" is not a thing when I can respec for cheap, and I don't really want to do all that travel to do fetch quests on the 5 planets again.
I couldn't bring myself to do a second playthrough of DA:I... or Witcher 3 for that matter. Those large semi-open world games are too intimidating to start over, and offer very little incentive to do so.
Yet, I could do several playthrough of the ME trilogy in succession, because there's little down time and tons of replayability options. Bioware games have not evolved well.

You don`t have to do anything to get all blueprints, you just get them. Not all weapons have blueprints. You mentioned the Raptor... There`s other uncraftable weapons like the L-89 Halberd, maybe others too.
edit: Raptor for me is in development, no need for blueprints.

Did they steal music or what? There is a multiplayer map where one of the good tunes from Gears of War tunes is clearly playing... And during the last story mission, I swear I was hearing some Star Wars.

You don't need profiles really, its more trouble to switch profiles than finishing the current fight.
Profiles are only good as shortcuts for people who want to spice it up once in a while by changing skills without doing it through skills screens.
Also, profiles contribute to the classless system which contributes to reducing the replayability of this game.

I remember from my first playthrough of ME1 that I didn't care that much for the squad mates by the end... that only came with the sequels. I like the squad mate in ME:A a lot more by comparison, after only just 1 game. They're very 1 dimensional, but so are most squad mates in Bioware games.
I do remember the awesome ending though, and how it was a cohesive game all by itself, despite being the first in a trilogy. In ME:A, they don't seem to resolve much of anything, we're left with so many open story lines... I hate that. I like conclusions...

First I would like to comment that I've seen the % completion score go DOWN a couple of times after successive save games where there should have been no change, so I don't know how the game computes it, but it's wierd as heck.
Second, I've had quests pop-up in conversations where there was no "!" on the map to indicate that there was a quest. This happened in various places, but in particular in Kadara after I had completed a major quest line. There was no quest icons on the map, but every other NPC was giving me a quest when I spoke to them. So it's very possible that you have missed quests that you don't know about.
So anyways, good luck with 100% :-p Personally I won't bother, game is not friendly enough for completionists.

I tried the plasma seeking on a Black Widow... Sounds cool in theory, but the bullets become really slow, making them take 1-2 second to get to the target if its far. The seeking helps if I missed my shot, but if the enemy moves within the bullet travel time (and lets be honest, shit moves a lot in this game) then the shot misses for sure, despite the seeking.
Not long after I made a Black Widow without plasma seeking and holy shit that felt so much better, and I'm killing shit much faster too! Augments fail.
