First - how am I damaging Star Wars? Does my criticism of the NuShit destroy your appetite for more? Does it make you not care about Star Wars as much, because on this one forum you go to people are mean and don't see your truth? Well, when you use terms like NuShit, then yes. You are damaging Star Wars for us. Uh-huh. So criticism, even if less than 100% constructive, is "damaging" these days. Boy, the world we live in... Oh yeah, and I also reject that "nuShit" is damaging to Star Wars as it is not being applied to Star Wars, but rather Mickey Wars. Unless you mean nuShit/Mickey Wars is damaging to Star Wars because it has replaced it. In which case, yes.

lol Darth Malora? Now that is hilarious. On the other hand, if she's still voiced by the lovely Jo Wyatt, I for one welcome our new dark overlord! Speaking of, I guess I might as well get the poll started... OK, poll will run for 12 days, then we'll switch to males.

These videos are pretty good but I'm surprised by the one-sided simplistic view of Franklin. He wasn't a Minbari fanboy, he had moral objections to using his knowledge to enable genocide. As a doctor, that makes sense, even if the necessity in the face of the alternative (at the time) makes it arguable. But this dude is one step away from claiming Minbari War Syndrome. I wonder if he's a leftover Clarkist

Oh...so if the main characters are female, that automatically makes them SJW! I see. Well, by that definition that must also mean the following are also SJW: - Dora The Explorer - Tomb Raider - Mad Max: Fury Road - Totally Spies - Almost every single Disney Princess movie (except Aladdin because the main star's a man) - The entire Disney Tinkerbell series - Charlie's Angels - Mamma Mia - The Hunger Games - Alien and Aliens - Wonder Woman - Alice in Wonderland - Mary Poppins- Every single Barbie movie ... Do you see the problem here? Yes.

I liked how Thor: Raganrok prevented SJW fuckery.
Thor is not the god of hammers. So Jane can fuck right off and get her own superpowers and identity (which I would totally be down for).

So... tiefling sorc5/warlock3 A side question if I may: Is that a purely RP thing? Or is there an advantage to getting a few Warlock levels? I don't imagine that the Eldritch blast is worth it without the improvements later, is it? Actually the main motivation was mechanics. Leveling to sorc 6 seemed really boring. Oh, one more spell, one more SP. Woohoo. Didn't help that I was playing with some higher level folks who were clearing entire rooms with fireballs while I was still diddling my Chaos Bolt. Yes I could take Fireball too, but with only one or two slots I had to share with Counterspell, it didn't seem like I'd be joining in anytime soon. So I took a look at my options. And two things jumped out at me from Xanathar's- Celestial Patron and Gift of the Ever Living ones. The former gets me healing (and quite frankly the best 1st level damage spell I've yet encountered- Guiding Bolt) while the latter maximizes the fuck out of it for me- literally. All healing done to me is auto-maxed, no rolling. It requires Pact of the Chain though, hence why I needed 3 levels in warlock. Overall though, I will have gotten cantrips for days (I can hit with almost any damage type), 3d6 bonus healing (4d6 when I level to 8), max self healing and another evocation, two extra spell slots on short rest, Cure Wounds, Lesser Restoration (both of which I can twin with metamagic) and a warlock familiar which will also get in on the shenanigans. Not bad. Now the lad still clear rooms with fireballs, but I've expanded horizontally in utility. I'll catch up. As for RP, it's been interesting. My guy was a criminal, initially just in it for the money, but with some neat tricks on the side. But as a tiefling, he weaponized the racial stigma in the form of fucking with anyone even remotely superstitious, tricking them into thinking he's an actual devil who'll eat their souls. Now, it turns out he ran into the one angel in the entire multiverse who thinks that's funny- and it'd be even funnier if he actually ended up helping innocent people. So now he still pretends to eat the souls of stupid peasants- but he also grudgingly defends them, and gets a kick out of causing even more confusion that way.

So... tiefling sorc5/warlock3- I'm taking the warlock spells now while I got the chance, as I'm going back to sorcerer for the rest
Hex or Hellish Rebuke?
Hex- nice d6 to add to my attacks, disadvantage on checks that I've honestly never seen come up and can move it around until the fight's done, but I've got other things I could concentrate on (i.e. hold person, dragon's breath) Hellish Rebuke- nice pair of d10s for more fuck you's when something hits me, but it burns a slot each time. I have more slots that a full warlock, but I'm partial to "cast once, keep on hitting" spells, they seem more efficient somehow.
Thoughts?

What I want to see in/after Avengers 4
-Thor (re)builds new Asgard, reigns as king.
That's about it, actually. I'm not picky.
What I don't want to see: -Iron Man die. He's too cool for that. I actually don't want anyone sacrificed for the sake of "we don't want these characters/the actors don't want to play them anymore". Nothing wrong with simply retiring and passing on the torch and/or doing a cameo every now and then. And out of all of them, RDJ is the one that can easily keep doing this forever since all he has to do is film some facial reactions in front of a green screen, and the CGI department does the rest. -Speaking of passing on the mantle, I don't want any pointless rebrands. Let Falcon stay Falcon, give me a new guy as Cap. And preferably no obvious SJWbait. -Obvious SJWbait should be its own point actually. I don't want to see everyone fighting for the idiot ball with Captain Marvel coming in to save the day with the power of feminism. I'll wait and see what she brings to the table, but I don't like the "ultimate weapon waiting in the wings vibe". If she joins the Thanos beatdown, cool. But said beatdown should be what the Avengers always were- a team effort framed in pants-creaming pans, shots to epic music. -"Mass Effect 3"-ing it. Yeah I'll say it. Last time I waited for someone to bring it home, confident that they'd been riding high the whole way, I was asked to pick a color. Fuck "art". Finish what you started, as you began.

Now there's a loaded question if there was one! Actually no poll is needed...the answer is Vector. For Male romance, perhaps. Which is how I'm thinking of splitting this, since there's way too many options otherwise. So we have our next two polls. I'll gather the names here first so I don't get yelled at if I miss one. Female Kira Carsen Nadia Grell Risha Drayen Akaavi Spar Elara Dorne Mako Vette Jaesa Wilsaam Ashara Zavros Kaliyo Djannis Raina Temple Lana Beniko Male Vector Hyllus Torian Caldera Andronikus Revel Malavai Quinn Doc Felix Iresso Corso Riggs Aric Jordan Theron Shan Arcann Didn't include flings because there's no way I'm remembering all of them. Edit: Added Kaliyo, Temple and Theron

I'm going to loophole the hell out of this question. Doing it by platform, and doing series instead of single games. PC Half-Life series (includes G-Mod) Mass Effect Trilogy Dishonored series PS3 Prototype Infamous The Darkness PS2 God of War series (yes, include those later titles not on PS2 ) Metal Gear (yes, include those later titles not on PS2 ) GTA (yes, includes... you get the idea) Multiplatform (because fuck it, that's a category now too) Mortal Kombat (especially 9) Force Unleashed Doom (especially Doom 3) (it's on xbox and shit, it counts) Also FEAR, Crysis and Elder Scrolls, because at this point, why not?

don't lie nerds, you're going to see it. You might pirate it to not support laziness, but you will see it. Incorrect. The last one I saw was Rogue 1. I have not seen the Last Travesty or Solo. I have zero interest in seeing them or anything else Mickey Wars comes up with. Mickey Wars can't be stopped, sadly. But it most certainly can be ignored.

lol let's see - He was shorter than I am (villains must be at LEAST 6 foot, especially in a comic-book flick) double lol!- His main power was sand control (Dumb as hell and not in the books) Factually wrong. If anything, his "main power" was essence transfer, power copying (once he transferred his essence, and power augmenting). Practically, it's like I said, his power was what he needed it to be, minus telepathy because that was a plot point.- The movie used him well in the 1st act, but by the third I was cringing each time Isaac had lines (this is not the actors' fault, but the writers') His lines were the same caliber throughout, vaguely Biblical quotes, "the world is weak and must be purged" etc.- Costume was too Power-Rangers, not enough bio-tech/cybernetic future-tech His comics costume has tubes on his arms. His movie costume has tubes around his neck. Woohoo. I thought the Celestial tech of his pyramid capstone was done well and a nod to his augmentations in the comics.- Why not break Mystique's neck? He had mercy on her because.... ? (this severely weakened Apocalypse) That wasn't mercy, he was using her as bait to draw out Xavier. Watch it again.- The main thing that bothered me is very simple; not enough time spent with Isaac developing WHO this villain was & wanted to be. One or two more scenes of him speaking to Erik or Psylocke about his motives and/or his weaknesses would have made him an interesting, compelling baddie. Without this we are left to assume he is just another mutant with a chip on his shoulder (this film had enough of those) This is the one thing here that's true, but again that's a failing of the movie in general, not the character. His motives were pretty clear, especially if you know of him from the comics, but there just wasn't enough Apocalypsing. I guess they needed more Mystique scenes...

Indeed. He could have. So... why wasn't he? Because the filmmakers fucked up (Also this question itself implies that you agree the character was a letdown, at least somewhat) I don't agree, and you haven't really provided an argument for why he is a letdown. The film has problems but the character of Apocalypse is not one of them. I said "could've been" because he wasn't used as such. He was just the next villain in the sequel. He ended up being more like Ultron than Thanos, though again, that's in terms of circumstances of the film, not character (as Ultron did fuck up, and bad)

I disagree Yes, Isaac is a great actor. Yes, the character from the TV series/books was a cornball most of the time. But why monkey with his powers so much? Why not put lifts in his boots? Why not make him more cold-blooded & ruthless? Why the sand bullshit?!? Why weaken him? How was he weak exactly? He held off the entire X-Men team with no fuss, until the Phoenix got into it. What was wrong with his powers? Ok, he didn't do the size-altering thing, except in Xavier's mind, but his powers were effectively "whatever he wanted/needed at the time". How was he not ruthless? He killed randos when he needed to, he single-mindedly pursued his goal and the minute anyone failed him he showed disgust and contempt and would probably have dealt with them if not for the active enemies nearby. Yes it was a PG-13 movie, but I don't think him leaving a trail of bodies would've made him a better villain. He was appropriately threatening, he just didn't do as much as we wanted because they crammed other bullshit all into one movie. Hence why I said it should've been a two parter. Apocalypse could've easily been the Thanos equivalent to the X-Men. Phoenix should also be a two-parter. One to deal with the Shi'ar and the M'kran crystal (Phoenix) and the second part should be Dark Phoenix. But I guess they didn't trust themselves to get to a proper two-parter, and now they've likely run out of time.

I like X Men Apocalypse but it could have been better by selecting the right actor for Apocalypse one of my favorite villains. They better not screw up the next movie, Phoenix being another favorite. They royally screwed up Dark Phoenix in the other movie trilogy Oscar Isaac was fine. I don't think I could've asked for a better portrayal as a character. You can't expect the hammyness and scene chewing of the cartoon- that just wouldn't work live action. As for Phoneix, they just need to adapt the comic. As close as they can get it. Even with the censorship of the cartoon, they nailed it because they got everything else right.
