A Multiplayer in the style of DAI and MEA would be really nice on the side yeah. What if they add it later as (free) DLC? Personally, as someone who likes either pure multiplayer or pure single player games, this makes me happy. I like both multi and single player, but mixing them together often results in a final product that is somewhat less than the sum of both components.

Today I called my doctor about the vaccines, he said he neither has any actual vaccines nor does he have any information about them and I should give civil service a call. I then called civil service and they said they are not responsible for the vaccination waiting lists and that I should call my doctor. I called my doctor again and he insists on not knowing shit about any vaccines. Then I called the vaccine / covid hotline and they said any questions about the distribution of the Covid vaccines should be directed to either my doctor or civil service. Yeah. Just as expected. If this Covid virus would be a real killer like pox or something, we all would be wiped out in weeks due to sheer incompetency despite all our technological advancements. Why am I even paying taxes....

I'm interested in future games, but also worried and with the recent editing of Miranda, i feel agenda politics might rear its ugly head in all of this and being that Andromeda was a bore fest in terms of story and characters, i don't particularly have a strong sense of confidence in that this team can structure a proper story and narrative....
I really am fascinated by the ability for people to rationalize being upset at not being able to fap while playing the game.

You follow that celebrity drama shyte? No! But the Kardashians are so damn ubiquitous it's hard to avoid. I'm looking forward to the next roller coaster. I don't know, if they are so ubiquitous why am I not picking up anything about their moronic life?

A little history and a lesson in how to dress well for you all. This is a photo of my father and all of his brothers. My father is middle row on the right. Pff, I dress in ways your prehistoric caveman mind cannot even begin to comprehend. Anyway, those are some fine happy gentlemen in this picture, and those are neat mustaches! *tips hat*

Just started a new Glen Cook book. After reading the Black Company and it being my absolute favorite book series I have high hopes for this one. And I REALLY need a break from the Stormlight books or I'll go nuts. I don't know what it is with Glen Cook, with all his books I'm immediately pulled into his worlds, I don't experience this with any other authors work. And boy, I have read a ton of books in the past 4 years.

THIS. Pretty much everyone in my family has gained weight. Meanwhile, I got quite fitter. I find in working out a great distraction from all the shit going on rn. Congrats on your self-improvement, keep up the good work! Guess there is two kinds of people in the pandemic, those that pull themselves together and use the extra time to improve themselves despite all the craziness and those that without any kind of outside motivation just kind of succumb to monotony and apathy. I know a lot of the latter. As for my day, today I hiked 10 kilometers which I enjoyed despite the drab post-apocalyptic February landscape - and I made a donation to animal welfare.

It's... boring. We've had loads of rain for a month straight and it's starting to be...bleak and depressing. With corona, it's not like you can get out too much, but I really liked my Saturday and Sunday hikes, and, as it's raining buckets, it's not like I can go on hikes Hate this time of year too, brown, grey and wet, the pandemic does not help either and its a bad time form my health. Worst thing is there is no computer game interesting enough for me to buy and play, I have watched all good TV series twice already. So no interesting media for distraction. Hiking, indoor sports (lifting, bicycle), cooking and turning into a home-office-workaholic is what keeps me occupied and somewhat sane at the moment. I know many people who struggle a lot more though, who have developed very unhealthy habits during the pandemic and most people I know have become fat and unhealthy. Eh. Summer is going to be better, time flies - just a couple more months and all things will be VASTLY better.

Disclaimer: Smoking causes cancer and all kinds of nasty stuff. Don't do it people. Cuban Corona Majors? I used to puff those from time to time, before I quit altogether. Good stuff, but I don't miss them or anything. I have to smoke due to a health condition, I have an inflamed bowel condition and one of the few things that actually help is, of all things, nicotine. Nobody knows why it works, but they are already experimenting on oral drugs based on nicotine for those kinds of conditions because it works so well. The usual anti-inflammatory drugs are FAR more damaging. And I like cigars. They are actually worth smoking because they are quality tobacco unlike trashy cigarettes, they help me calm down and as you don't inhale them the damage on lungs is limited. And since I don't drink alcohol, don't eat sugar or do drugs of any kind....

Realizing I don't have a good lighter I bought a proper Zippo today. (I know you are not supposed to light a cigar with a zippo, I wont use it on the expensive ones. Does not mess with the taste as much as they say though. ) The lighter isn't tiny, I just have big hands.

The thing is, if a species is so technologically so advanced and evolved it has become a superbrain void of pain, suffering hunger and mortality etc. it would not need destroy potential competition. Say if there was a race becoming so advanced they'd pose a threat to that superbrain in the near future, sharing the technology to get to the same level would prevent war. Any species so advanced would not wage war because it would be illogical and all its needs and desires were fulfilled anyway. In my opinion max technology advancement leads to peace, not war, so sharing it would be the logical approach, not war every 50k years.

Off the top of my head:
* Proper wildlife - Animals that prey upon each other, graze, hide, predators that only attack in packs and flee as single individuals etc. Some depth to fauna to make the places feel more realistic and ''alive''.
* Day night cycle - And make nights properly dark, in most games nights are so bright its mostly cosmetic, besides some stealth bonuses maybe. A properly dark night can amplify horror and scary elements a great deal, and it can be used to augment gameplay by decreasing visibility of enemies etc. There are games that properly implemented nights and darkness in general (The Thief series of Looking Glass for example), and it has a dramatic effect on atmosphere.
* Weather - Random special weather effects, sandstorms, heavy rain, fog, snow, thunderstorms, blizzards, maybe even some phenomenon. Again, makes the world more feel more ''alive''.
* Natural sounds - One thing that is sadly often overlooked is an extensive background soundscape, that does WONDERS to make everything feel more alive. A sudden gust of wind every now and then, distant thunder, animal sounds, a rock falling from a cliff, glaciers cracking etc. Sadly most games have a very limited soundscape which loops and repeats quickly as it often seems that the developers only care about the music.
* Secret areas - I really like rewarding exploration in games, finding a hidden cave with some unique loot in it or finding a secret tomb beyond the edges of the map with a little story incorporated is always super awesome. That's like finding extra candy. All Dragon Age games had those but never to a truly satisfying degree.

It's a nice color. Although if you drive a car with rims painted like that, I'd think you were dealing drugs or dealing trafficked ladies. True, personally I like completely black sports rims. Nice color doesn't always translate into universally applicable.

So I continued playing Pillars of Eternity - Deadfire and I have to say....I'm not enjoying it, and I don't know why. Even in the first playthrough I felt like the game was missing something important, some key element. Even though it seems to have everything what makes a goods classic RPG it just did not grab and drag me into its world like, for example Dragon Age Origins or Baldur's Gate. Now in my second playthrough I feel it even harder, so hard I cannot continue. Today I simply had to...stop. I wonder what it is.
