Really nice. Bro Ryder and Sis Ryder exist at the same time. And their father is a goddamn hero. Those are some big shoes for them to fill.

So, I'm confused if the other sibling is actually in the world are we actually going to see them? He didn't say that we would actually see the other sibling. In the same sense that in DA: Origins whatever warden you pick, the "other warden" still existed. Good question. I hope we get to talk to the siblings

In the same sense that in DA: Origins whatever warden you pick, the "other warden" still existed. My guesses are that they might show up at the end, that they might die at the beginning or that they might make a few appearance throughout the game (and maybe make it to the end if they don't die). For some reason, I kind of want the sibling to be a bartender or something as oppose to being a member of the military.

In the same sense that in DA: Origins whatever warden you pick, the "other warden" still existed. Well, probably you can assume she/he is 'somewhere'. I'd welcome the option for my sibling to be customizable at the beginning of the game, because I don't like default characters. What I would like the best would be to have your sibling as a squadmate with a customizable face. One thing is certain, incestous porn fanart will be off the charts.

Knowing BioWare, it's pretty much guaranteed. I don't remember a family member in BioWare games that didn't die, save for Imoen who was retconned to be your sisterin BG2. Fergus Cousland, Kalah and Rica Brosca always survive Origins, regardless of the games events or if related to the Warden or not. The Inquisitor's parents are never seen, but can surmise from how Trevelyan is often formally introduced as the son/daughter of Bann Trevelyan, that their father is presumably still alive at the time that Inquisition takes place. In Mass Effect, if Shepard has the Spacer background, their mother Hannah Shepard is alive for all three games, escapes the Reaper invasion of Earth and spends most of ME3 leading the surviving Alliance fleets as a Rear-Admiral serving under Hackett. Those are all the ones I can think of, so it does happen... even if it's rare. (Edit: Ah, got pipped to the post)

I hope we can customize our sibling. I want to make my in game brother look like my real brother looked.
The krogan squadmate will have known our character's father too. I hope that means the krogan is NOT a romance., but more a father-figure.

In the same sense that in DA: Origins whatever warden you pick, the "other warden" still existed. Was also wondering about this. I'm leaning more towards the former, where we can actually see and interact with the sibling for some amount of time. I'm just assuming since Mac has already emphasized the whole family aspect.

I'm not asking for an extreme like wanting to be physically violent or wanting to be emotionally abusive towards them: I'm just asking to not be locked into a happy family.

Bear in mind that, I believe, all of the non-Wardens died in their respective origin stories. True, but they still did exist in the universe. I can't remember though if they were actually mentioned though.
I know Mahariel from the Dalish Origin is mentioned in Dragon Age 2 and I think Marethari outright says Mahariel was killed by the mirror if Mahariel was not the Warden (elsewise, she said it took or stole Mahariel, I believe). Most, however, are not from what I can recall and their deaths are mostly inferred.
An example is the Dwarf Commoner: Leske from the Dwarf Commoner origin can be found by the non-commoner Warden still in a Carta cell and if released, he'll refer to a friend of his in the nearby cell who stopped eating and died. He also refers to a stupid bet.

I'm hoping this will be a part of what they meant by more dynamic relationships. I just cannot imaging that Karmyn Ryder would have the same relationship to his family as Valentyna Ryder would especially not with the revelation that the N7 is his dad.

Hold on a sec:
Daddy-Ryder is the N7, but the N7 is an antagonist...yay daddy issues, again.
This just makes me wonder about the role of the bro/sis you don't play as, please don't tell me that they're going to join daddy as well & we have to punish/absolve both of them, or anything like that, I'd like the other to be someone we just encounter from time to time.
Just my thoughts.
I am never saying Daddy-Ryder again.

I sure hope they'll allow freedom in defining the relationship with your sibling and father, it'd add a lot in roleplaying The PC differently. Compared to DAI, the background is practically confirmed as a single one, so they might put the resources allocated in The different backgrounds on more options for the relationships with your family, or other background stuff.

In this case they'd have even gone further then previous games, with the PC itself having those issues.

So does this means our characters do not wake up on the way to Andromeda, but has grown up there? I hope we can customize our sibling. I want to make my in game brother look like my real brother looked. The krogan squadmate will have known our character's father too. I hope that means the krogan is NOT a romance., but more a father-figure. From what I know, the journey to Andromeda takes about 400 years given that it's how long it is set after the last game and we've been in cryogenic suspension the entire time so we'd likely have grown up in the Milky Way Galaxy.
I do hope we get to customize our sibling and our dad as well. If our sibling don't make any appearance then it's not necessary but if our dad sticks around then I want to be able to customize him.
God, I can't help but imaging the romance having a moment that would go something like this; Ryder: "You okay?" Krogan: "S'fine. Been a while since me and your dad went running. Always wondered if his aim had gotten worse with age. Kinda wish it had, though... and that he hadn't aimed for the quad."
Heh, now I'm imagining a reunion scene between the squad and Ryder's father. The scene, however, changes depending on whether or not Ryder romanced the krogan. If they did then the scene between Ryder's dad and the krogan changes;

That's true, I think customizing the father might be needed as well. Though it can happen in a different time compared to the siblings, like in Hawke's case.

I wouldn't expect too much. I forsee that the relationship with the family will be rigid and static. Maybe that's because my expectations of the game aren't that high.

True, but they still did exist in the universe. I can't remember though if they were actually mentioned though. When you go into the Carta hideout during the Orzammar questline, the (male) Dwarf Commoner's corpse is shown in the cell next to Leske, who refers to the events of that Origin and mentions that Brosca perished after they stopped eating one day. The events are also referred to in the Dwarf Noble Origin, where they refer to a castless duster who ruined a previous Proving by impersonating one of the warrior caste. The guard at the gate of the Alienage refers to Vaughn being slain and Soris is later found in the dungeons of the Arl of Denerim's estate, confirming that some of the events of the City Elf origin happened, although leaving it unclear what happened to the City Elf. Merrill confirms in DA2 that the events of the Dalish Origin happened. After finding the Eluvian in the forest, Tamlen disappeared and Mahariel eventually succumbed to the taint, leaving Merrill to attempt to rebuild the broken Eluvian, that seems to have been destroyed regardless of Duncan being present. Jowan referring to his "trouble" with the Circle and showing up in the Arl of Redcliffe storyline shows that the Mage Origin happened, although it's unclear whether the mage that helped him destroy his phylactery was Surana or Amell. WOT2 also mentions Lily remained imprisoned in Aeonar for years, despite showing no signs she was a thrall to a blood mage. The Cousland family were betrayed by Howe as in the Human Noble Origin, leaving Fergus as the sole survivor. This is confirmed in Awakening by both Oghren and in an epilogue involving Nathaniel saving Fergus' life, as well as via a war table mission in Inquisition. The events of the Dwarf Noble Origin happened, with Bhelen having arranged Trian's murder and possibly framing his sibling for the deed. The default Aeducan was male and exiled to the Deep Roads, as mentioned by various people in Orzammar and confirmed in a letter from Endrin.

Kinda cool that something people was suspecting since E3 is a thing. That the Ryder's are siblings. Well, they did kind of a hint about that. Though I didn't think they'd add a third family member in the story, and not as the N7 guy. It is practically confirmed now we won't be N7 at the start, I think.
