Interestingly, it was the lack of giggling and kissing after the soccer match with Liam that felt wrong for Liam's romance to me. It totally needed a pan over Tempest, a giggle, and Kallo pounding clearing his throat and saying something in an artificially loud voice to Suvi   

It's not the looks, it's the intent. It's the charisma. It's the love and passion written by the author. It's the VA who freakin' nailed it. NAILED IT. That's art. That's art on another level because he's not static. He's your buddy or your love interest. That's Bioware. They sold a scary-lookin' bird-dude and made him ours to consume as we wish. That's the connection with Garrus. It's not about "Let's bang, okay?" It's about having "let's bang, okay?" as the icing on the cake for those that dug him that way. For me, I couldn't let myself to beat him high atop the Citadel for target practice. Even though it was superficial, it was Garrus. It was Archangel. It was GARRUS! I didn't do it for me. I did it for him because of the all crap I dragged him through, he still wants to find time and just remind me that we're only human after all in a great, great way.

At this rate, I'm going to run a poll on Other suggestions.

Kasumi Goto will not be on the poll because she was an outstanding NPC that was underutilized in ME3. She deserves that kind of love.

However, Avina is a perfect example of Other.

Willing to bet: People are going to mention other Asari as Other, reinforcing that love can transcend species through artful writing, voice acting, and artistry in motion (animation).

My very first playthrough of ME 2, I didn't touch Miranda. I kept that as my canon run. After ME3, I almost went for Miranda as my canon run, because Ashley was a mess. After Starchild, I went back to ME 1 to forget the pain. Andromeda had so much potential to do that, but we're only scratching the surface. I don't like piecemeal storytelling, by the way. Give me the whole story in vanilla and give me filler (lots of it, lots of it, lots of it) with side quests, throw in another story arc, get more time in with PeeBee or whoever, etc. That, to me, was a winning combination. Origins proved that. EA somehow thinks otherwise. DA2 should've been a super DLC for Origins. Hawke took the story out of Lothering and brought us a few maps. EA is stupid. So dang stupid.

I still can't understand why Reyes is so popular.

IMO he came across as a total sleazeball who if he shakes your hand you spend half an hour with hot water and ascrubbing brush wasjhing your hands afterwards. That character type does not appeal to me regardsless of how good the Va is.

I would like to nuke Reyes until he glows then nuke him again to be sure.

He's kind of like Isabella in Dragon Age 2. Of all my love interests, Isabela is #2. Her voice character, her dialogue and her animations seduced my ass. Yep. I fell in love with Isabela. That's BioWare. That's great writing and delivery. Sold!

Tell that to the 47 that voted for the guy. He's charismatic. I shoot him every time, but it doesn't mean he's not charismatic. If it were my wife and not me in the chair, Reyes would be off messing around with her. You know it. I know it. It's why I shoot him every time. Well-written character.

I don't assume crap anymore. Looking at the poll, I'm seeing some hidden beauty among all of this. I can't wait for DA4, so we can run a poll on Dragon Age characters. My #1 is Morrigan. She wasn't #1 the first playthrough either. I had to read spoilers or quest guides to alter the ending that I played the first time. Sacrifice is so maudlin. I disliked the alternative's approach, but I said f*** it. It was so good the first time, I need another heaping of this stuff. Yo, every time afterward, it was Morrigan. Morrigan. I want to be the Hero of Fereldan again. Let me reconnect with Morrigan, my #1 of 10 virtual mistresses. All of them BioWare, too. That's writing. That's having to relate in ways that most people only dream about in real life. It's plausible fiction. It's brilliant.
