Andromeda has a story in the sense that anything has a story. That doesn’t mean it is a good story, nothing could inspire to want to touch it again with a 10 foot barge pole despite its solid combat. I despise the horrid railroaded end of cp2077 but personally I can’t really say before that, that the story was poorly delivered even if it wasn’t at Witcher levels and i’d happily be replaying but for ending elephant. Its about the individual. I rather play Andromeda then Cyberpunk for I have had such a negative experience with Cyberpunk. Funny, because I cannot imagine a world playing boring ass Andromeda again. Meanwhile I'm on character 3 of Cyberpunk. 1.2 basically fixed every issue I ever experienced on PC.

Its a waste of my time loading the game, loading my save, and then playing for a few min and then having to do it all over again especially if it doesn't save. Not to mention the handful of times when crashing Cyberpunk corrupted my save so I lost time I played.

You guys are comparing CP 2077 to fucking ME: Andromeda?!? CP 2077 will almost certainly not get a sequel or MP, the DLC & expansions will barely be produced and released before CDPR liquidates all assets and all employees involved. C'mon, this is a corporation - they lost massive $ on this game. As we all know, the one motivator for Corpo-types is money. Search your feelings, you KNOW it to be true Not sure what source you got this from, but it’s incorrect. I’m sure there’s enough doomsayers on YouTube pushing a particular narrative, but by all accounts, CDPR has not suffered an actual financial loss. Heck, their executives just got a bonus. I am not referring to some "CDPR: Explained" Youtube vid or other such drivel I'm talking about the fact that despite selling 12 million copies or whatever the actual number is, CDPR has suffered a major loss in terms of PR and fan loyalty/reputation. This cannot be denied. This game is almost certainly in "damage control" mode at this point. As in; unlikely that any additional resources will be used or produced other than the DLC etc that is already being developed

It would be an incredibly stupid decision to abandon the title given that they don't have any other revenue source for the next several years. They already publicly declared "the price of making this right is of no consequence". They would be doubly stupid to damage their PR further by going back on that.

However, I don’t see CDPR straight up abandoning the IP any more than they would The Witcher. The only reason to do that would be if they determined that interest in the property just isn’t there, but I haven’t seen indication that this was the case. I guess there’s always the idea that the IP will just be associated with technical problems, so best to just leave it behind, but that would be pretty dumb. Then again, people are pretty dumb, so who knows...

I don't think the IP is dead unless they make another game and it bombs proving they have made the IP toxic since they paid money for it instead of just creating it themselves. I do see the potential of the IP sitting on the shelf for awhile and the next game branded Cyberpunk won't be like Cyberpunk 2077 or even labeled similarly because of them trying to not drawing comparisons.

Perhaps, but I’m not really expecting that to happen. In any case, the next game is most likely going to be another Witcher game, so we’ll see how that pans out.

Seems fitting as a follow-up to a gif of the man that made that terrible movie. Come on, don't you know it's way more important to troll the audience by mocking them for caring about plot points you established in the previous movie? The whole plot needs to be a META Troll job to finger wag the audience for being dumb enough to care, they don't have time to tell a story that makes sense with all that shit going on!

As I said its down to the individual and what they can tolerate. I can deal with the issues in Andromeda, but a game that crashes every 15-20 min (after 1.2) or something isn't working quite right breaking me out of the game is a lesser experience. For my experience I can overlook a lot of things, but crashing is one of those things that will always anger me and cause me not to want to play a game. Its a waste of my time loading the game, loading my save, and then playing for a few min and then having to do it all over again especially if it doesn't save. Not to mention the handful of times when crashing Cyberpunk corrupted my save so I lost time I played. I assume you don't play on PC. For some odd reason, Cyberpunk 2077 is the most stable game that I currently have installed on my PC. Out of over 500 hours of play time, I think I've only encountered a dozen crashes. Most of those crashes actually happened before the 1.02 patch. My game hasn't crashed at all since the 1.1 patch. I guess it's gonna take a long time for CD Projekt to fix the game and make it finally playable on PS4 and Xbox One. If you own the game on PS4 or Xbox One, I really hope you get the next-gen version for free. Because no one is gonna buy the game twice if it didn't work at all on the first time.

It's interesting how disparate the experiences are with this thing. I haven't had any crashes in 1.21 or 1.22, but then I read comments here and there where it's claimed to crash every few minutes, let alone every few hours. I wish there was a way to magically get a graph showing the actual numbers of issues that arise with each new version. CDPR's already stated that all versions are automatically eligible for the upgrade. If you bought it, you never have to buy it again unless you cross over platforms.

When it comes to PC gaming in particular there are so many variables that it can be all over the place from running perfectly to being near unplayable. It can even change dramatically between patches for some. Its why consoles when they have problems its a big issue because there are only so many variations of the hardware they have to test. I think with the PS2 at the end of its lifecycle there were less then a dozen hardware variations that needed to be tested, but with a PC you can have that many variations for just a video card.

I do wish there were more flourishes in the animation, but I suppose that's what you get for first-person combat.

The game made its development cost back during the first month in sales, and then some. Problem is, with the mixed/poor reception the games launch received, they're probably not seeing a lot of sustained sales; or as much as they hoped. Especially with the game still delisted from the PS Store. I can see them sticking with the game for another year to a year and half, but people are gonna wanna start seeing some headway not only on promised features, but DLC as well. I wouldn't be surprised if they significantly expand the size of one of their DLCs, making it a full-fledged expansion, but doing nothing more beyond that.
Sucks too because I was hoping to stick with the game for much longer than I did. I wont say I didn't enjoy my time in Cyberpunk, at least to some degree, but there were clear failings top to bottom. Hopefully the studio can turn it around, but they've still got a lot on their plate.
Also, I wouldn't worry too much about CDPR if they decide to drop Cyberpunk. Theyve still got GOG as a side hustle. And the money they've made from CP2077.

CP2077 makes Andromeda look like a well-polished gem hewn from a forgotten Thaig.
I finished one of these games. Not sure I'll ever play either again, but I finished Andromeda.
