Sorry can't stop thinking about it now that I brought it up. So Jaal is bi because the Angara are gender fluid. If Jaal is gender fluid will he start referring to himself as "she"? If he does is it only when Scott initiates a romance? If so does that mean that Scott/Jaal is no longer a m/m romance? Does Jaal continue to refer to himself as "he" to Sara? If he does and/or if he doesn't does that mean a Sara/Jaal romance is now a straight or a lesbian romance? Can Sara romance Jaal in a relationship where he refers to himself as she/herself and it still be considered a f/m romance? You start finding a lot of interesting questions once you jump down this rabbit hole.

There are 2 ways of connecting gender fluidity with bisexuality that I can think of: 1) Jaal has multiple "gender identities" defined as "one's personal experience of one's own gender". That would mean that Jaal romancing Scott is currently female thus making it somewhat heterosexual relation from Jaal's point of view (because he identifies as female) and homosexual from Scott's perspective ('cause he's still a dude). 2) We could take the quote " angara have expressed their fluidity in how they perceive gender"and focus on the word "perceive". It could mean that for the Angara, one's gender is what the Angara sees it to be. Sort of "gender is in the eye of beholder", or more bluntly "if I want to bang that, then it's female (or male, respectively)".

You know who's going like this patch? Players who played as a male Ryder and wanted to romance Jaal but couldn't. Now they got that option. The rest of the players will, uh, you know, play as they have been playing for 2 months now...big change right? Not really. I have played with Jaal on a female PC, would never romance Jaal again, but I can't wait for the patch to drop because of the CC options and change you appearance on tempest option!!! Acne-free SKIN matters! Man I for one am looking forward to my full auto Mattock, the hero Andromeda needs.

Yeah I'd guess Thursday--I think you're right, decafhigh , the other patches were released on Thursdays. Antibaar - I'm assuming we'll be able to change Ryder's appearance on the Tempest at the same place we can change Ryder's casual clothing and armor colors, in the Pathfinder's quarters below the bridge. It's that panel on the port side of the ship, or left as you enter the Pathfinder's quarters, on the same side of the room as the bed and music player. So now my Ryders will need an even bigger closet that was already holding all their different colored clothing...they'll need more room for all their wigs.

no. He just woke up and not seen or really heard anything about the qun. He hates them because they are anti magic...that's it. While I do think Solas is racist in the beginning, I disagree that his reasons about the Qun are about race and only magic: he has problems with other parts of the Qun philosophy like their ban on individuality and non-conformity. This can be seen in his banter with Iron Bull. While he has banter that involves magic, he also has banter that focuses solely on what I mentioned. As far as I recall, it is never stated how much or how little Solas has seen of the Qun in person but the incident he refers to with the qunari baker means he has seen some even if it was through the Fade. Sorry but he still look down at other people of different races and cultures as well. He doesn't even consider elves has his people as well and sides more with magic users. Sorry but he is racist.

Yes it could, although according to both in game and real world definitions of gender fluidity, there are many more genders than 2. All of them might use different pronouns like those: ...so I guess it might take a while until they will both be simply female.

So if Scott is a "xe" and Jaal is a "het" is that a straight, gay, or lesbian relationship? The world is doomed, isn't it? Pretty much, yeah.

Well.. this is not the kind of effort that you put in a game that is "going on hiatus". I think they are not going to give up on Andromeda yet.

So if Scott is a "xe" and Jaal is a "het" is that a straight, gay, or lesbian relationship? Have you noticed that acronym LGBT lately is often spelled "LGBTQ+"? If Scott is a "xe" and Jaal is a "het" then my guess is it's a "+" relationship

what i find a little odd is how hard bioware goes in order to enforce an agenda . i give a damn about anyone sexuality . i rather have a good and solid story . some decent animations, some decent dialogs . they decided to ditch quality in order to please the LGTB community, i really doubt they are interested in mass effect to begin with . but perhaps this explains why female preset and default sara are so hideous and wierd looking . they wanted them all to look like truck drivers, with a testosterone overdose .

Yeah and I didn't say he wasn't a racist: I said I did think he was a racist. I disagreed with his dislike of the Qun being based on race and him only objecting to their views on magic. His banter shows that he objects to other parts of the Qun philosophy therefore it's not about their race or only about magic.

This is just silly. Once Bio does romances for anybody these issues are in play. They can either represent or not, but they can't pretend that the issue doesn't exist.
