Patch 1.08 notes and discussion (June 8, 8AM PDT)

I've had this problem on PS4.

Do a full power cycle. I.e. turn the console off completely (not on standbye, really off) and turn it on again. Somehow that fixes it.

That guy gets it.

Did the patch fix insanity mode? After I downloaded patch 1.07, insanity mode was easier then what it was on my previous playthroughs before the patch came out.

Is this really a big deal? My reaction to it is about the same when CDPR changed their romances in TW3...*shrug*

I just started a brand new game. I'm in the new CC part. Just started fiddling with it, and I gotta say I'm loving it! *squee*

I'm really liking it so far. Like I said I just started again, but wow, what a difference already. And I see they combined the hairstyles!

In the big picture of things: nope. If the writer had issues about it I would be concerned, but it sounds like a compromise. One that sets an awful precedent though in.my opinion. My solution would be to change the achievement to one. Also, I'm heterosexual and I don't care what little or numerous options I have. I'm at the mercy of the writer and I'm fine with that. Modding would be awesome though. However, it would also be hollow since the VA work won't always jive with your modification. 

this is a great patch, performance has been greatly improved and i like the new cc options and the new mp mps is awesome

"We're improving character creator"

No, you really didn't. I just sat for 10 minutes messing with it. Making faces tied (meaning linked to) to nose, eyes, etc of that face ruins the entire thing. Whoever thought this would be a good idea, should be fired. You really can't customize much. You added a few small things in 1.08, but honestly, nothing that changed my opinion. I honestly think this is one of the worst character creators I have ever seen. The faces are just flat out ugly, no matter what you do to them. Something really went wrong with this new ME. I actually sat waiting for the past few months and not playing the Single Player at all because said they would be fixing the character creator, and this is what I get? Horrendously disappointed. Essentially all I was able to do was make the skin tone one new tone lighter, which is still not pale enough in my opinion, and that's it. The rest stayed the same because it's about as attractive as I could make the character due to the limitations of what Bioware did. I mean, there are some attractive characters in the game, so why can't I use their faces in the character creator? Pee Bee's face for example. It's utterly ridiculous that you can't.

Something I could give a rip about since I only play female characters in my games. I could care less about catering to LGBT or MORE "gay" romance options. Instead, id' rather they stop worrying about catering to certain groups and just make a good game that has a decent character creator. I mean, I can't really make my character look much like a goth, as I am a goth/metal type person, you don't hear men complaining all over the internet demanding I be catered to.

Multplayer.

Adding new types of boxes was nice. But, honestly, after me buying countless boxes and STILL not getting the ONE character I have wanted since day one, Human Kineticist, i'd rather just be able to buy it. I have the entire Common and Uncommon characters list ALL to Max lvl X. I just want the Human Kineticist so I can play it, but it never drops. 

By Earth logic yes, by some parties in this thread, no. I imagine if you have enough people harassing the devs with a hashtag on Twitter you could have them change her back to what was described in the guide. But then again, they may say screw you for reasons that have been brought up before.

As stated earlier this "upgrade" to the CC didn't do much for me. I was hoping to improve my Ryder a bit, but no such luck. Still, she looks decent enough as is. I do wonder however what made Bioware's ambition shift from this:



...to what we finally got.

How's the new patch? CC, Jaal, ect?

CC is pretty good (new faces, lighter skin tones and both sexes can have the same hair now) and the Jaal romance is perfection once again!
