Patch 1.08 notes and discussion (June 8, 8AM PDT)

I just got on to check out the facial reconstruction interface, and where to find it...I had previously guessed they would just make it a part of the wardrobe selector interface, but I should have known better--that they would put it in the medbay. I haven't gone through the regular character creator process yet, so I haven't seen where you can choose how Alec Ryder looks. That appears to be locked out in the facial reconstruction interface on the Tempest, which makes sense I guess.

I'm glad the beard option for facial hair was fixed (mostly). It now lines up and blends in better with all of the hair styles, with the exception of the default male hair, where the full beard is still a bit off. I wish they would have included a few more facial hair styles though... like light stubble, and maybe a thin/trimmed beard. I think the facial hair color menu is new though, so I guess I could mess with the colors to make it look a little lighter and more like stubble, maybe.

It's cool that they added a complexion slider to the CC, too. I think there was a mod that essentially did just that--let you switch up the different headmorphs' complexions, independent of the current morph you're using. I think I'll have another look at that later.

I haven't had a chance to look for the new fire selector mods. I'm looking to see if anyone's messed with those yet, and how much they affect each weapon, damage-wise, RoF, etc.

I'm nearing the end of my current playthrough, so I'm glad this patch was released.

Yeah I know but still, other companies manages it so one should think that bioware would be able to pull it off by now as well...

I would like it if they did get it to work. Not sure if it's true but I've read claims from Bioware devs that their games are the first that hair has been attempted with regarding Frostbite and that it's been difficult to get to work.  I don't think they had a choice in the game engine either, since it's an EA thing. Not to make excuses, just providing some context, perhaps. 

Agreed. I just wanted my Sara's skin tone light enough to match default Scott.

Yeah when you are switching between the complexions you can really see how yellow and brown all the other skin textures are compared to the new one.  Preset 10's skin texture without the freckles would have been great.  All those freckles and blemishes need to not be baked into the base skin texture and be additional overlay options all their own.

I got the same on Tempest, which is absolutely ridiclous, cause i've never got this before ! Moving left - lag, moving right - lag... f... shit.
And i got MEA on my SSD.

It seems that war between Edmonton and Montreal in 2014, after which so many good people left BW, cost us much more than only unpolished and rushed game; we got complelety different game than we should. Sometimes it's hard to look on those pictures and read those articles about "what goes wrong with MEA"...
From the other hand having only 1,5 year to develop MEA which we got is a great achievement.

Except Bioware itself has said on multiple occasions that asari are not female bc there race is single-sexed, rendering the concepts of male/female irrelevant. I think it's stupid too, but it doesn't change the fact that it is BW canon that asari are not female or male. 

The next time someone complains about Bisexual Jaal, I'm gonna throw numbers at them. Numbers of Bioware romances. Because I did the math. And in another thread I broke it all down. and yeaaahhh
