Damn, this is cool. You have to give Bioware props for listening to their fans and recognizing their errors. Didn't think they'd bother adding a Black Emporium in the game. Why? They did it before with Inquisition... and perhaps DA2. Not sure about DA2, since I bought it well after it and all DLC had been released. |

As for Jaal I could not care less. Now if they had added a Cora/Sara romance that would have been appreciated. So female Ryder should have gotten double the gay romance options as male Ryder instead of Jaal being made available for male Ryder? |

Looks like the CC changes will bring it more in line with the OT in terms of options. Curious about complexions and whether or not they will change the eyebrow texture with them since it doesn't look like they will be their own option.
The default Alec bit of news is good. Some of the presets just didn't look right and I'm sure there are a number of people that wanted a certain preset face but didn't want it to lock down Alec's race.
I don't know where I left my ten foot pole, so I'd just say that the Ja'al thing shouldn't be a big deal for the forum, but I'm sure this will go down as yet another thing "wrong" with bioware, it's fans, and therefore the world. We did this with Kaidan. To the many people who very clearly were dying for this option pre-launch, congratulations! To anyone annoyed...eh is it really worth getting upset about?

You know who's going like this patch? Players who played as a male Ryder and wanted to romance Jaal but couldn't. Now they got that option. The rest of the players will, uh, you know, play as they have been playing for 2 months now...big change right? BioWare would also make more players happy if they made Suvi bi, but that's not going to happen. BioWare can't decide what they want to do with romances. Supposedly they are in favor of set sexuality (Gaider went on record stating his preference to that over everyone bi ala DA2), but apparently its "set sexualities, so long as someone doesn't get too bothered by it" So you think Suvi should have been made bi instead of Jaal? |

Can you point me to this? Because cut content is common: Sera, a lesbian option from Dragon Age, has cut content with a male Inquisitor. As far as I know and I may be mistaken but Jaal's cut content with male Ryder amounted to a couple of lines which is typical for cut content and not an indication of a romance availability. Pretty sure he was straight. Patch notes say as much. The bi content in the sound files was just in case. Cora had lines too with Sara. This is something different they've done. Not restore but create. That's pretty awesome. Both Tom Taylorson and Jaal's voice actor were under the impression he was bi almost up to release date |

Surely you can see the difference between a DLC and a patch? Were Jaal to be made a M/M romance in a DLC, I'd be less irritated by it than in a patch. DLC's have much more ability to further flesh out characters than patches do. As it stands now the patch seems to be saying "whoops sorry we pissed you off, here have gay Jaal" and not "this is a natural evolution of the character that our writers didn't consider at first" Nope, not going to take up my time arguing with you, I'm too busy being pleased for folk who will enjoy this content and dealing with a few asshats around the forum. This affects no-one who will not play this romance, hence there is zero reason to be sour about it. But but but but Jaal might hit on Steelcan's male Ryder! |

Well I for one am very happy with these changes and am really looking forward to coming back to the game again after a month or so of not playing. Can't wait to actually see the updated CC and be able to use default Alec.  |

Mark Meer even recorded lines calling himself a woman, but that never made it into the base game for obvious reasons. |

As I recall, the Dragon Age team weren't fond of playersexuality and regretted its implementation in Dragon Age II but we'll see by the next game. |

Bioware keeps in impressing... and sadky the hate bandwahon rumbles on. If you needed more proof that many of the haters just want to hate, here it is in this thread.
Bioware gives us better CC options and a romance tweak but so many ate just bitching as usual. Feel sorry for Bioware with "fans" like this.

Because there are already several romance options for straight Scott. ... This wasn't really about balancing the options between sexualities or recognizing the inherent compatibility between Jaal and Scott Ryder, this was about appeasing people who screamed loud enough. Some players had less content. They asked for some more (not even parity). That has been addressed. /solved. |

Yeah but it just may happen that he was not attracted to any other man until scott actually say he was interested to him. there does not need to be signs of that before, heck scott ryder is probably the first man jaal develop an attraction for and jaal realized his bissexuality with scott ryder. |
