Patch 1.08 notes and discussion (June 8, 8AM PDT)

As long as this is becoming a romance thread, why is it we never get a female human squadmate that is the lesbian character? Its always the Asari or the deck officer. No femShep/Ashley, Jack, Miranda and now no Sara/Cora. I hadn't really thought about it before but it does seem strange.

Last time I had a really good squadmate romance was Leliana in DAO.

Or to fulfill an achievement. Common sense says to change the achievement instead of screwing with the writers vision.

Indeed, that would have been a good option.  it doesn't fo anything for the disparity in number and quality of romances, but I think such things are best left out of patches.

For one being bi, gay ,or straight is not a choice. Him being bi in me is not a character development. If there was a story about him coming out as bi then yes that would be character development...but there was not one so him being bi mean he was always bi and did not say anything about it...like tali loving Shepard in me and never said anything about it.

I play games as I write my books: I have a canon. Particulary, I have my own SaraXVetra canon which I can't break (the same way I couldn't break my ShepXGarrus canon, NO, IT'S NOT A TURIAN THING... not totally  ). From moment one Jaal was too much for my Sara. Too intense, too pasional. It didn't work. Vetra was a better balance.
With Scott? I love Reyes, especially when he breaks all my Ryders' hearts   Apart from him, I didn't find any option appealing. Cora seems like the typical love interest in a Sci-Fi movie, I like Peebee but I didn't see it worked with my Scott. I can't steal my own sister's girlfriend and Gil is OK, but I didn't feel connection.


My Scott is rational, by the book kind of guy, sympathetic but difficult to loosen up a little. Jaal is the perfect balance for him, hell yes. I can play with that SO FINALLY I WILL SEE WHAT IS ALL THE FUSS ABOUT WITH FREAKING JAAL!!! 

what? Takes away what? How does adding so ming and not take things away from it takes thing away from it? It does not cover over what's there it adds on to it.

Asari i guess are a obvious choice because they are mono-gendered, but it is indeed curious how it's always the deck officer.

1. They did say kaiden is bi now have a nice time.
2.kaiden was also always panned to be bi but it was cut from me1. The voice lines are still in the game.

I didn't play DAI but for a few hours, found it boring.  Wasn't that Sera some kind of little hob goblin anyway?  I specifically said human crew mates.

Sure Liara was a great Waifu but it just find it odd we never get human female squad mates that swing my way.  We are always dumped off onto the deck officer.
