So, a main criticism is that the females were fugly. It was also a big criticism that you really couldn't make a proper white PC. They answered the criticism by giving, arguably, the quintessential white male/female stereotype(at least one of them. I'm not counting blondes!). Pale, freckled and ginger. This just tickles me as well as grates on my nerves. I wanted a white character. I wanted a good one and I like this. I think I like them a lot...but it took a social shitstorm for Bioware to do it. Hah. I'm glad the criticism is biting them in the ass. Tired of the political/social agenda crap to shove extreme minorities onto the gaming platform. Its like these people have some sort of self-righteous moral crusade to represent fringe elements of society less they think they have sinned somehow. Yeah, whatever. I'm not on of the opinion that ME:A can be saved now anyways after everything that has happened. Eh, I'm pretty fucking certain pale, freckled, ginger people are an extreme minority, which they have effectly shoved into their game. I don't know what percentage of people are ginger, but yeah. When I think of a regular looking white person, that's not really the image I come up with. This is one of the big problems baking things like freckles and blemishes into the base skin texture leads to. Those need to be a separate overlay like makeup. |

Right, base textures and meshes should for the most part be pretty plain and avoid as many idiosyncrasies as possible. The more common the striking features are, the more they overshadow the subtle features. If everyone wore novelty Groucho glasses, it'd be a lot harder to tell them apart compared to if they all had the same ear shape or hairstyle. |

I'm not using either for the next couple of playthrouugh's but I do quite like the female one and can see myself maybe using it eventually But I'm going to stick with my current Sara look for now as I think the Sara I'm using atm is kind of pretty anyway so I'm reluctant to change her although her playthrough atm is on hold till I finish my latest DAI run. Haven't got far to go though |

Don't really care about Scott one way or the other, but the new Sara I rather like her features, its just that overly freckled skin that ruins it for me. I hope some like it, but for me, still not what I was looking for. |

She is very pretty and I think he, while not looking perhaps great right now, has potential to look really great. Importantly they look the age for those that wanted characters that look 22. Several of the heads don't. My main character that I've stuck with for several playthroughs looks more like 30s. Of course I personally like that. I can't really get into playing young characters so I head cannon the shit out of that point.

I was absolutely thrilled with how they both turned out on my first attempt at using the CC; whereas, I generally gave up on using the CC in the Trilogy. Alec certainly looked like my male Ryder... just aged appropriately. |

Is it just me or do ALL the presets look very different now? I created a new game just to check out the new presets last night and all of the original 9 for both Scott and Sara look completely different texture-wise. They look much, much better and the preset hair on them are all different.
