Not sure if this unpopular. Since the game is about having options, why not have them for the endings For destroy, I have Shepard calls for a shuttle. As it picks up her/him up, Shepard shoots the tube. For control, have the edibot control the reapers With the green, throw a dead body in the beam. Would an animal work? Or better yet. Shepard adds a few drops of blood instead of the whole body I don't know if it's unpopular but I like these ideas. Well, not sure about EDI. I like EDI/Joker and hate to see him sad. But still preferable to Shepard.

With the green, throw a dead body in the beam. Would an animal work? Or better yet. Shepard adds a few drops of blood instead of the whole body Throw the clone in. Never mind how you kept the body. This sounds satisfyingly like beating ME3's writers at their own game, a fitting answer to "We want Shepard to sacrifice themselves. Never mind how it makes sense."

Unpopular opinion # 867 & 868
I find the Rachni, Elcor, and Hanar to be far more interesting than Miranda, Jack, or Vega were as characters.
I want to play as a Rachni, Elcor, and/or Hanar in MP.

I think Ashley is a very interesting character, far better than that adolescent sexual fantasy, aka Miranda.
A pure paragon or renegade character profile doesn't make sense.
I don't really mind that Shepard will die at the end of the game. It makes the romances more interesting, as Shepard and his/her love interest become two star-crossed lovers, doomed from the start to be separated forever.

You really want unpopular opinions... You REALLY WANT THE MOST UNPOPULAR ONES ?! *throws cloak away* *cracks knuckles*Boys, I'm about to ruin your life and the next reincarnation as well. Here. We. GO.•I find Tali and her voice annoying to the point I intentionally kill her in ME2. •The BLUE ending is the best of them all. •Thane isn't really hot or interesting, fairly said Leng killing him is a good event. •The Krogan never deserved a cure in the first place. •David was better off with Cerberus. •Legion is the most well-paying squad-mate I have ever sold. •Garrus was always whiny and non-compliant, I enjoy ruining his loyalty mission. •Wrex is the definition of arrogant elitism. •Cerberus has better goals than any other faction in the trilogy. •I will always throw Ashley into the nuke so I can shoot Kaidan myself later. •No matter the server data, the Geth always deserved extinction. •Liara is too annoying to ever be loved because she is always thrown into your face. •The Starchild Catalyst is not the worst part of the ending. •I DON'T REGRET ANYTHING

I'm not sure exactly how unpopular this is, but I sincerely believe Legion in ME3 has been indoctrinated/rewritten by the Reapers. Because he has changed his views on basically everything he says at the end of ME2. Also, he's obviously fallen in love with his Reaper upgrades, and suddenly the Geth achieving their own future isn't so important any more.
I think the more popular opinion is that this is just bad writing. I disagree.
Breaks my heart every time I have to put a few rounds in him.

You can also throw in a major heaping of hypocrisy on Wrex as well: "Shepard! You should kill the Rachni because they are nothing but monsters, and for all the destruction they caused over a thousand years ago. But you should totally feel for the Krogan plight and want to cure us, despite the fact that we were monsters to our allies and all the destruction we caused over a thousand years ago."

I absolutely agree with your opinions on Tali. I have forced her into suicide by choosing Geth over Quarians, and I have never regretted that decision.

An acceptable head cannon, though the sudden shift is indeed the result of a hard push by lead writer Mac Walters to make the Geth more human; accusations of poor writing up to the individual player. The original writer behind the Geth, Chris L'Etoile, had depicted Legion and the Geth as very alien in their actions and quite content with remaining as such. Of course Mac, apparently, can't stand something that doesn't want be exactly like us special snowflake humans so he forced Chris to include the whole 'hero worship' bit with Legion and Shepard's armor piece. Then, once L'Etoile left the studio before ME 3 was released, Mac took full charge of the Geth's direction and so turned them into the Pinocchio bots that we got during the Rannoch arc.

Yeah, his character got hijacked.. but I never knew if it was Mac or not.
Strangely, Mac claims to have written Thane too, in the commentary for the comics. But that was L'etoile's character as well. This guy can't get a break.

It's a shame that the Geth were turned into pinnochio bots in ME3(part of why i choose to wipe them out), as they were one of the few truly "alien" races like the Thorian and Rachni, instead of the usual human in costumes.

Well, I can agree that most of those are unpopular opinions... at least with me. However, when I got to the one about Legion, I just had to voice my profound disagreement... My HWSR X Sniper Rifle (sold several times in ME1 to Dr. Michel and bought back from Expat in the Marketplace for a much cheaper cost each time) really has to be the "most well-paying squadmate I've ever sold." Plus, I got to spend several nights with Zaeed reminiscing over our dear old guns.

Ok, granted, that whole thing about l'Etoile is interesting, but still there's too much going on with those Reaper upgrades. If you have Javik, around the time you do the Rannoch mission he'll tell you a story about the Zha'til. A race that couldn't live on their homeworld anymore (sound familiar?), so they implanted themselves with symbiotic AI. Then the Reapers took control of the AI and turned the Zha'til into a monstrosity.
First thing that happens after you make peace is that the (Reaper upgraded) Geth start uploading themselves into the Quarians suits. And don't say it's fine because it never happened, we don't know that. The Reapers can keep that surprise up their sleeve for whenever it comes in handy.
Hell will freeze over before I'll give anything whatsoever Reaper upgrades. See, Javik might be a bigot, but he's also seen all the Reapers' dirty tricks before.

Can you post the conversation where Javik says it was the Reapers behind the Zha'til? I've never heard that part, and I always exhaust all his dialogue. Or is it just implied/inferred, based on what happened to them?

This might not be an unpopular opinion
None of the loyalty missions or recruitment missions should be available after completing the suicide mission.

This might not be an unpopular opinion None of the loyalty missions or recruitment missions should be available after completing the suicide mission. It's certainly not unpopular with me. I agree - as much as RPG players dislike being restricted in how the game flows, Shepard recruiting new team members after the SM just makes no sense at all. I've never tried importing an after-SM recruitment into ME3 - what effect does it have there? Does the side mission for that crew member still show up? Does the dialogue change?

I thought his dying during the Korlack mission was dependent on if he was loyal in ME2 or not... not whether or not he was recruited before or after the SM. If recruited and made loyal after the SM is completed, does he die saving Korlack even then?
