opened 10 premium pack & 10 arsenal pack 1 ur from each pack so 2 total fawk this... I have the impression they lowered the chances of getting an UR. Its this or my luck turned to bad right after patch 1.08. Not my impression. I got 2 UR in a quarter of his total packs.

Data is added to my sheet link from the top of the thread. I have videos but since they don't show anything interesting, no point uploading. Hmm... Your ratio of kits to guns is about right for premiums, as you said you bought... Sorry you didn't get the duelist... In hindsight, the reserves would have treated you better. I added a bit of data/words to my doc to push for/better represent that they were reserves. In case you by chance did buy reserves and your "premiums unless noted was just overlooked," damn I am sorry. lol I'm looking through your album to check on the whether it was character or weapon unlocks, and the images aren't matching up to the spreadsheet data. Do you have a video of the 200+ packs?

Bottom line it's only probability and statistics. I'm wondering whether analyzing total drop rate until maxing out a manifest wouldn't reveal the same average for all of us. With the single events of "being unlucky" and "being lucky" only within the variation of same process (XmR) chart.
I feel with you but in the end it will turn out equally well for all of us.

I kinda wish people wouldn't even post this "OMG 3 UR in 6 PACKS IS THIS NORMAL????" nonsense in here, it clogs up a thread that should be full of useful data and analysis

I know, cause a software can only apply statistics and a probability method. Otherwise someone would have to administer lists of users and arbitrarily allocate yield rates. Most likely neither Bioware nor EA have the resources to do so. Statistics, statistics, statistics - in the end the probability for us dying in game and reality is the same - 100%.

Can any spreadsheet wizards help me figure out a formula here? docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bwtf1cRoBwvq79_BBi6xCfzfsNbq52PQ9Iw57gIcl9o/edit#gid=0What I want to do is track weapon and character rate for Premium or Reserves pack. So right now I'm manually tracking this in cells H15 through H18, but what I think I'd need is a COUNTIFS formula there to see: if the pack had a UR, if it premium, if it was was there a W or C. I'm just not sure how all to format that set of conditions.

I can help but it will have to wait until tomorrow. I ended up doing it in a roundabout clunky way. Good enough.

Check my sheet again, I made some changes to columns A and C so it's more automated. All you have to enter now is the pack contents, W or C for the cards, and pack type. I may rework those a bit further so they're just dropdown menus.

Then you have a colum which you can slap a formula over. Else you could make a formula that says "If there is any input present add+1, then form sum", but I have no Idea how to do that in google spreadsheets.

I prefer a format with a column for each slot, 1-2-3-4-5. For each slot you indicate what you got and the rarity. Many people (including me) like to track the exact item received (ex. Dhan III or Salarian Operator IV)...
... but because we only really care about quantity and type of URs this can be simplified to "UR Character" or "UR Weapon" or (blank/null).
I will work on this later.

I will work on this later. Just asking for the sake of better understanding, why does it matter to you if you note in your data which specific UR you got? Also for sake of having a simplified and easy to use spreadsheet, wouldnt it be the the easiest to work with 3 colums, at least for that part. One colum for the exact kind of UR, one where you put the number in if it is a weapon and one if it is a character. In the end you can use formulas to add those every way you want.

(1) No idea, I just like tracking. (2) You create a parsing nightmare that way. Some packs contain 2 URs, some have been reported with 3. How do you indicate this in 1 column? 1-2-3-4-5 is simple and make the parsing super easy. For people who don't care to keep track by slot they can just use the first 1 slot (or 2, or 3) to put in UR-C or UR-W.

Here is my understanding of the two possibilities. by slot (first shown) PROs: allows for additional future analysis (such as slot-specific drop rates), less prone to error CONs: requires 5 entries rather than 2 by type (second shown) PROs: requires only 2 entries CONs: more prone to error (such as wrong type (Character or Weapon) *and* wrong count) rendering data suspect Obviously my biases are clear but feel free to sway me.

I like how organized yours is and that it allows the collection of further and deeper data. This is how I am currently doing it, aka how the one linked in my first post looks like after I corrected my brain fart. There are things I maybe want to add, like formulas for drop rates an such. For now it is just for keeping track of my purchases. I made one sheet of those for every kind of Premium pack there is now and I can add more if there will be more kinds of packs in the future. Just something that crosses my mind while I type this, maybe we can work together to come up with a sheet where everybody interested can take a copy and fill it with his/her own data?

I have the impression they lowered the chances of getting an UR. Its this or my luck turned to bad right after patch 1.08. Unlike some people... I got 2 UR from Apex pack though. ...I usually get pity pull for like 30 packs... then get 3- 4 UR for a million before another dries... I can tell I am not very lucky either way. This sounds VERY familiar...

Kazu : I automated most of mine now with dropdowns, so the only manual entry is selecting the option for pack contents, pack type, and manually entering the UR cards (not needed for any formulas, but helps parse the list) docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bwtf1cRoBwvq79_BBi6xCfzfsNbq52PQ9Iw57gIcl9o/edit#gid=0I thought about making a new thread to give this out to people but if the only ones who are tracking are reading this thread than it's probably good enough exposure here. Just save a copy to your drive. I didn't protect any formula cells so be careful about overwriting those. JRandall0308, it might be useful to link everyone's individual sheets in the OP for ease of searching, eh?

After 2 million dry(pity pull), last night I pulled 4 URs using reserve pack and 700000 credits. ...now I expect another 2 - 3 pity pulls again.. lol

Saved a copy for me and will convert my findings into that format when I find the time. If we all use a common format comparing data is way easier.
