It's okay, I'm just holding out for Hainly Abrams to be changed for the fourth patch in a row Never understood the issue with that. It's not like she is pushed into the forefront or imposing in any way. Just makes a side comment and that was that. I just kinda went "oh, good for you" and kept it moving. Then you haven't been through the proper SJW sensitivity training.

Hardly a big issue surely. It is what it is... It's a huge issue that slaps you in the face every time you visit the Nexus. Laughable ineptitude. Not game breaking but my god it's irritating and massively immersion breaking. Visually it's worse than any of the bugs for me.

I think I posted my opinion in another topic. Anyway, it's not that big a deal for me. If it gets fixed, great, if not oh well. As I said in the other topic, it'seems not like there are a ton of voiced asari.

As I said in the other topic, it'seems not like there are a ton of voiced asari. It's entirely sufficient that you have Lexi, Keri, Sarissa and her possible followup, looking all the same. Keri even being an option for a fling. That's boring. Why would I even flirt with a clone. Why would a clone like Lexi even interest me. What's with Sarissa, who's turned into quite a bid deal by Cora and her loyalty mission? A clone? It's about immersion. If I have problems noticing that a quest related Asari like Keri is standing on the Nexus and not some generic Asari, that's immersion breaking.

Hardly a big issue surely. It is what it is... No, not surely. It is a big turn off for me, and amongst the stronger reasons why I passed. The janky animations that the game was initially lambasted for were funny, but to me are to be expected from Bioware. The Asari particularly obvious laziness may not bother you, and it definitely is what it is, but it is also a big issue to enough people that your hand wave is lame.

Well at least they admit cloning them. I guess it's a little like how they cloned dungeons in DA2.....Cheats.
But yeah, it does break immersion in a big way.

Fernando Melo is one of the leads for MP. So how much would he know about SP? Also for reference... Truly a picture is worth a thousand words. Thanks for the post.

I cant fault them for treating it as non-issue. All other races are just reskin version of the same one or two models as well.

This becomes a debate about what can be reasonably changed. What's a 'bug' and what could have been done differently.
The re-used environments in Dragon Age 2 were deeply un-immersive and irritating but that's how the game was made, and the game isn't broken, it's just really shallow in that aspect. Similarly, the cloned Asari are a design decision in line with the resources they had.
The game has shipped, dev resources have doubtless been downscaled.
Are the Asari 'broken', is it a bug or is it simply an unsatisfying design decision?
Decisions about what gets patched will be down to priorities and that priority should focus on what's broken (what stops quests or achievements being completed). Beyond that, the game is done.

Has no one noticed the angaran women are all clones, too? Not only their women. The man are clones also. Same goes for the Salarians. There's a major difference though, as I said in another thread. Asari have human faces. We're used to look at human faces and therefore the problem is more glaringly obvious with the Asaris as it is with any other race.

This becomes a debate about what can be reasonably changed. What's a 'bug' and what could have been done differently. That is understood. I and many others probably are perfectly aware that this won't be changed at any time. However to call it a minor issue misses the mark. It doesn't break the game in the sense of not being able to continue. But it breaks immersion. Which is just as bad when it comes to quest characters. I can't imagine a developer sitting down and making a conscious decision of this being a design choice. I also can't imagine that creating four or five unique faces - for the quest relevant characters - would have broken the development cycle. You're right, it is what it is. We won't change that and we won't see it fixed. But it should be pointed out in order for the next game (whenever that may be) not getting that same kind of treatment.

I noticed it with the angara before the asari, although you have more of them in the same place earlier on in the game. They've still got more human faces than salarians, krogan, turians etc. Jaal is a different model (or is it just the scars?) as is the Moshae (but that might just be her outfit). It gets really ridiculous with the museum curator who Ryder seems to somehow recognise as being young, and I think the Moshae is supposed to be getting on a bit.

Hardly a big issue surely. It is what it is... for some its an immersion breaking issue , in my case i have not finish the game (got the game since day of release) and every time i talk to an Asari i just alt-F4 no one in the game comments about the Asari faces and the fact that Peebee seems to have the only unique face , i cant keep playing when i talk to her or any other Asari ahaha i hope they fix this I agree! It really kills the immersion when ALL Asari (asside from PeeBee) have the SAME FACE! I mean it standard practice from many open world games to have repeat faces, but when a particular race ALL has the SAME face? It might not be a big issue in terms of gameplay but it is an issue when it comes to immersion and for a 2017 AAA game we should demand better and not settle for meritocracy. This is Bioware we are talking about, not some no name rookie developer. We should expect more.

This is Bioware we are talking about, not some no name rookie developer. We should expect more. And there's no real excuse for taking that path. In more moddable games, modders have come up with a variety of faces, body shapes even. If one single person can do something like that as a labor of love, without getting paid a dime, one might think that it shouldn't be a big deal for a major company.

The thing is, this is an easy fix, like, drop-dead easy.
Worst case scenario: the Asari model is a full body model with head. Modders can fix that, so can a dev with a toolkit.
More likely: Asari and female humans share the same body supermodel, and the difference is the head and some paint.
If the latter is the case, the could literally port faces from past ME games into Andromeda, and hook the new heads to bodies via their unique character templates.

Maybe the modding community could try at least different face tatoos or something color wise to hide how identical they are? Or go to specific characters NPC files and try editing those so the army of clones don't look just like Lexi and Sarissa.
