There are three problems with the kotaku stuff. 1. It's unsourced. 2 it ignores common sense. 3. It ignores recent history. If these articles were done on any other game pretty.much out there they'd rightly be called fake news. But since some people hate mass effect Andromeda the shit suddenly don't stink. Oh yes and we can make racist bigoted jokes too. Yes sure MEA might be it. I doubt it because the game met EAs expectations (most likely). But that would be a damn shame and like SGU like firefly and kind of like the new BSG it would have been.murdered before it's time. Oh man this better not be like SGU. Man what a good show killed before it's time.

So if this is true, people who hated on the game get rewarded and people who liked or loved the game get punished. That's not fair. How are they getting rewarded exactly? Outside of a couple of people trying to score some kind of political points of ME:A it's most vocal detractors have been Mass Effect fans. What would reward them is EA/BioWare getting it's act together, treating the Mass Effect franchise with the respect it deserves and not rushing out some unfinished cash grab again. Haters want to see something that they hate fail. That is their reward. They gloat about it. If no other MEA game came and no MEA dlc came they would love it. They would feel they were right in their hatred and that they got what they wanted. And they would not care that anyone who liked the game didn't get a game that they want. The logic behind this kind of hate is that what is hated should not exist. Rather than simply moving on and finding things to like, the hater generally feels the need to see the thing they hate destroyed. Even if millions or billions of others loved it. They would not care that all those people would not get more pleasure from something they love or enjoy. They would just be happy that the thing they hate doesn't exist anymore. Even if their hate were totally irrational they would not care. As long as their want is met, they don't care. When you look at the haters in this forum, look at how they argue. Among them there is a resounding battlecry fro the death of MEA, ME, even BW at times. Yet they see that people here love the game or love BW. Instead of taking the mindset that they don't like it so they won't bother with it and move on, they just sit here and stew in their hate. And as soon as some new comes along that hints that MEA might be done they find pleasure in it to the point of not even caring that many people don't want to see that. They have zero respect for the fact that other people find joy in it. That's pretty horrible when you think about it. MEA games aren't actually hurting them. It's not like MEA raped, beat or killed someone they love or even them. But they treat it as if it's a terrible threat that must be destroyed. We have those people right here in this forum. Dare I say that this sort of behavior seems a bit mentally unbalanced.

That wouldn't be an issue if they had released a completed game in the first place. Alternately, release quality modding tools so that intrepid individuals with programming talent can help the developers correct their mistakes. I'm not joking, either. It's absolutely a valid method and I'm not entirely certain why EA hasn't given it a shot. That's a subjective view. As I said, many people liked or at least were fine and tolerated the game as it was when released. Because Frostbite is used for many MP games and DICE does not want people able to easily mod those games thus ruin them by having players cheat. On an internet forum no less? Perish the thought! People are always going to cheat in these sorts of games, whether or not they can be easily modded. The only reliable solution is to maintain a healthy community that is against malicious practice and punishing the offenders.

You know i used to be all nice and smug vis a vis the UK and the former colonies.
Then we had the Brexit referendum and all the shenanigans afterwards, culminating in our PM jumping into bed with terrorist sympathisers.
Still, at least we know how to make tea.

Who is that? Why is there a guy in Shepard's outfit? It's the new Shepard stunt double for the next Blasto movie. Clone Shepard in Citadel should've been the opposite sex of whichever Shepard you're running. So you have to fight BroShep if you're FemShep and vice-versa.

1. It's unsourced. 2 it ignores common sense. 3. It ignores recent history. How's it unsourced? Do you know who this author talked to? Did he reveal his sources or their absence to you? Would you, working for a company, like to be named in an article? Do you want to be fired or sued? Why does it ignore common sense? What's not comprehensive about the article in lights how the game turned out? Why does it ignore recent history? Used to be that journalists with journalistic integrity would at least supply one named source if not more. They would at least supply some element of the story that could be corroborated by someone named and willing to go on record. These sort of secret sources were only common with huge stories that could blow off the lid of something major like massive scale corruption or things along those lines where the blow back was huge and probably lives were in danger. Now journalism has no integrity. It's a bloody joke. Also, those fully unnamed source articles were often meant for public awareness to get people wanting investigations into the issue. They were meant to prompt more people to come forward with what they know and get more people on record. You never got this sort of epidemic of unnamed sources in articles like you do lately. It's a plague right now. There is no way to know how many sources someone has. There is no way to know if it's just a few people with a vendetta of some sort or just angry about some issue and blowing things out of proportion. During the age of journalistic integrity you would get these sort of unnamed sources right before grand juries would convene on pretty serious matters and very often there were paper trails involved, physical evidence that could be shown, and eventually at least one of the unnamed sources would end up on record. So you can see there is a pretty stark difference. Unnamed sources should always be something people are leery about. It should trigger a red flag. If there is no corroborating evidence, not one person on record then you should not trust it. You should question it. People are too damn gullible today and mostly because they aren't savvy enough to know when they are being conned or fooled. They believe whatever they are told and never even bother with using analytical thinking to assess how true, how false it could be, or who might benefit from what is being said when there are no sources named. Frankly, even if there are sources named you should still question it. I guess it's been the death of the analytical mind too.

only one man can save ME now Meh give it a rest people Shepard is gone. Deal with it. I'm Commander Shepard and I was rescued (off-screen) by Warlord Wrex of Clan Urdnot, Admiral Tali'Zorah vas Rannoch, Ambassador Garrus Valkariun and my last love interest (why did I wait so long to embrace alien booty?) Liara T'Soni, the Shadow Broker. My story is done. Do I want it re-mastered to include a true pick-your-path adventure like it was promised in the beginning? You damn right. Do I want them to make it now? Hell no. Too much lore to explore in Andromeda and I'm ready to explore Tevinter yesterday. So, yeah.
