Was MEA worth the price you paid?

EAware is a cruel mistress.


They knew slapping the Mass Effect name on Andromeda meant lemmings like me would run towards the ledge. ME is already one or two games away from being just straight up Call of Duty or Halo.


Also.. since I'm trying to be diplomatic... I wen't Average.

The same value for purchasing the game as I had for the MET for SP. Two runs, and over 100 hours. Lesser value for MP, it failed to hook me up the way ME3MP did. Would not have paid more, but would not have demanded a refund. The latest free patches got me another run of the game.

I find Andromeda a more satisfying product on the whole than what I've got from the other 6 games of the MET/DA franchise if each is taken as a separate title.

So, excellent value overall. 

I am torn, for if you go by hours played I have 200 hours in single player and 20 or so hours in multiplayer so in that regard it is excellent value. The problem I have with this game (and any open world game) is that there are lows where the game feels like it is just being slow which doesn't always feel like a good value. So I guess I will say the game is Good value on the verge of excellent.

I do not regret buying it, but no, I don't think the game was a particularly good value.

I went average. It didn't deliver what I expected a bioware mass effect to give me, I have no desire to replay it and it launched unpolished with a copy/paste multiplayer and a rehashed story. I go average simply cause it's still better than other games but it's not great either compared to some of the other bigger titles put out. It's a decent one and done game.

I got it for 9$ and I got my money's worth.

I'm with you on this. I'm not trying to fool myself either. I'm playing the original trilogy now and those rose-colored glasses have lost their strength. I'm still making adjustments on the fly and the trilogy is super old by today's standards. For example, open the console on the PC running AMD/ATI combo: "Viewmode unlit" on Ilos and Noveria. At least once per map, I have that "uh oh" moment where I may have to restart the level (Shepard likes to inexplicably walk on air and then levitate further like Frostbite's T-poses.) or go back to a quick save (which by the way, is the Q button because I use it that damn often). In ME2, the Collector's are an ABC plot. It's the companions that made the journey worthwhile and on that, they delivered (like Andromeda). Call me a masochist, but I really liked the Hammerhead. That vertical climb made the environment come to life in a whole new way. I'm already going into ME3 knowing the Hammerhead won't be there and I have to do that silly dodge and roll with a Reaper again. 

yeah neither do I I voted good because while it may not be of the same quality of the other games it still has that Bioware and ME feel about it that I like about the series

I have 338 hours in. I got my moneys worth.

Good enough for me. I've had nothing game breaking and got my monies worth out of it so far. 336hrs and counting.

Yes it was, I've spent more on worse games. Still wish I hadn't pre-ordered and waited for patches though.
