Boycott Anthem & SWBF2 til April 2018

Not interested in either game unless somehow Anthem has an strong SP component

yes, a few hundred people boycotting the game will sure teach ea a lesson, what with them only getting 4.99mil sales instead of 5mil

Is it a boycott if a product doesn't interest you?

I have zero interest in SWBF2 and wasn't planning on buying it, likewise I was NOT impressed by either of the trailers to Anthem and what I know about and the trailers it doesn't look like a game I would interested in buying either. First person games are not for me. That is my real "problem" than anything else with Anthem.

I can not get into first person perspective in video games. Period. End of story. Don't pass go and collect $200.

Doesn't matter if a shooter or any other genre.

I actually like to see my character and I know all the talk about "immersion" first person perspective is supposed to give me, sorry but almost every first person perspective game I've played the first person perspective it actually BREAKS immersion for me because I'm not a solider, barbarian, a space marine, or whatever they do in the Mirror's Edge games. I would be running away from the fight not towards it. When I do use the third person mode in Bethesda's games it's basically too pick stuff and/or examine it. But everything else I do in those games like traveling, exploring, talking to NPCs, combat, and etc I do all of it in third person. I feel more "immersed" in a 3rd person game than I have in any in first person game. I don't care how good the writing, story, characters, graphics, voice acting is in a first person game I can't play and enjoy it then it's a waste of my money and time, and believe me I've tried to get into First Person games and there are quite few games I would love to play if it wasn't for the first person perspective taking me out of the worlds that these games try to create. I would be very tempted to play a MMO shooter like Overwatch if was a third person game.

Want to really boycott?
Then you need to go all the way.
Of course save your money for something else.
But then you need to delete your EA account.
Delete your EA games.
Delete your memory of the hogwash and iddiocy that they have fed you over the years.
Delete ORIGIN (to that I shout an AMEN!)
Probably forgot a few... but if your going to do something do it and make it really hurt or else it is wasted effort.

Also what does SWBF2 have to do with anything? It's not even a bioware game lol, good message to send to a completely different company I guess.

The more I read these threads, the more I am convinced that the majority of the people who start them (the rant ones) are probably roughly 15 years old. People freaking out over click bait, freaking out over BW actually making another non DAI, non ME game, people freaking out over anything they can. Chickens falling from the sky. Drama everywhere. Nary a rational person in the crowd. Okay, definitely some rational people and we just keep trying to calm the chicken littles down but the chicken littles just keep running around screaming the sky is falling with their fingers in their ears refusing to listen to reason.

Seriously, calm down. It's a game. It's not the end of the world. And there's zero factual evidence to prove that Anthem will in anyway determine whether or not MEA gets its next game.

So, the gameplay footage of Anthem shows third-person action.  From what I've seen, it is a third-person game.  There was a part of the teaser trailer that is in first person, however it is unclear if that is actual gameplay or a cinematic or just an unrelated scene made for the teaser (like the "Ghost Riders in the Sky" teaser of MEA at E3 2015 (?)) so it looks like the majority of gameplay is third-person for Anthem.  I also think, if I remember correctly, that SWBF1 has a third-person option, and probably SWBF2 will as well.
