I like it, but I am also wondering, why it is only female? Does this not border on sexism? Anyway, were I around them, I would be guilty of both being nervous and a hopeless flirt. That, and if a girl is wanting to join the military, be apart of special forces, and is telling everyone she is wanting to do the thoughest job she possibly could in it, you know she is a badass.

Nothing good comes from dividing genders and giving women special treatment in military branches. A female soldier should be treated like any other soldier or special forces member, and should be able to reach the same standards as their male counterparts - not presented like a marketing gag, isolating them from other male members.
Its hard to see at first, but this is sexism. One of the pillars the military apparatus rests on is equality, giving soldiers equal equipment, resources, outfits and treating them equally regardless of race, origin, height or looks. Giving people special treatment like that just because of their gender promotes and fans the flames of sexism and problems with gender equality.
This is a typical case of good intentions gone wrong.

Its hard to see at first, but this is sexism. Equality means equal, together. I didn't really read the articles. Didn't feel as though I needed to. The title says what I need to know. Regardless, I can't help but feel slightly aroused by this.

I would only use strong female soldiers just as medics and sharpshooters.
Just because women can pull assault rifles triggers it doesn't mean they can do other things like male soldiers.

their special forces female group has lower standards of achievement than most militaries do for remf's also 22kg backpack ? what is this a girl scouts outing or a fighting force doing a forced march?
for reference a standard fighting load out for belt kit was 15kg and the backpack was 25kg, heavy weaps or signaller got an extra 15kg,... support tech got to lug around extra mortar rounds or anti tank weapon so his backpack was closer to 60kg.....
the rest of the fitness requirements for junior entrants was also tougher, and for spec for if you couldn't do the mile and a half in full battle rattle in under 9 mins you weren't fit enough, shit doing the run in gym kit in under 13 mins are they side stepping the whole thing ?

You put them in a position they are capable of carrying out. Otherwise you get this: Each soldier according to their ability.

You put them in a position they are capable of carrying out. Otherwise you get this: Each soldier according to their ability. The biggest problem in this particular situation is they obviously weren't allowed to use taser or pepper spray. One of those properly used against the attacker would have worked very well, but I guess the completely fucked up jurisdiction in that country which is soon going to be drowning in chaos and anarchy didn't allow those to be used. Sending average female officers who are - newsflash- physically not even half as strong as the average male and NOT allowing them to use non-lethal weapons against attackers that come from a bloody war zone is a crime. Its not the fault of those police women, its the fault of a fucked up bunch of politicians ruining a once great country with great people. .

Nothing good comes from dividing genders and giving women special treatment in military branches. In the linked article it says they needed to train females to interact with females and children in the middle east. The creation of this unit fixes a practical problem. To the "lol 25kg" dude that I can't be bothered to look up and quote: literally the first line of the article: "She's marched for miles carrying gear that weighs as much as she does". 25kg is to pass the test, doesn't mean they don't train with more. I'm the only one here who bothered reading before going "LOL FEMINISM", aren't I? I didn't really read the articles. No shit.

>50 sit-ups in two minutes My old ass gotta do 110 sit-ups in 2 minute, and I'm a damn admin clerk. last fit test I past the pass criteria was ; 20 heaves 20 dips 2.5mtr wall slap 100 press-ups in 2min 100 situps in 2min 1.5miles in 9min 30 sec 20 minute rest and get changed then CEMO battle run 25 miles in 4 hours (56kg +weapon + water + body armour and helmet) followed by 90 meter carry 6 foot wall scale 25kg body press x 20 and the following day was CEFO 12 miles in 2.5 hours (20kg + body armour + helmet + water + weapon) followed by once round the assault course and fighting forward on the range from 1000 meter point to 50 meter point, with a hit / miss ration of 50% or better from 600mtrs onwards then clear off the range and jump into the back of truck without opening the tailgate unaided... my personal weapon was the L110A2 ...... and I was lugging around a 351 on top of that.... somehow I doubt that one of those chicks could even stand up with that on, and I wasn't even teeth arms never mind spec 4..... of course that was some years back and we had girls but they had to go in their own squad because they had easier targets to reach and lower carry requirements, their weight limit was 20kg and 10kg their personal weapons were carbines and they got double the time limit for the distance and didn't have to do the obstacles or the simulated fire mission..... probably for the best cos carbines are utterly pointless past 100 meters but they weigh less than 2kg's ....oh and their body armour didn't have plates in and they didn't have to wear the tin lid just strap it on their backs .... utterly pointless and half of them failed the gym section never mind the rest of it /

I'm the only one here who bothered reading before going "LOL FEMINISM", aren't I? standard training is to carry typical deployment weight +5kg not to carry less for the tests ..... typical deployment weight for teeth arms is 50kg loaded in backpack /webbing +ancillaries on top for spec ops teams its often more what with the need to carry enough ammo and rations to get your trip finished, and typically they go into the field for longer rather than shorter trips.... the claim that her gear weighed more than she did doesn't inspire confidence especially when they tell you what there not including in her carry weight and that stuff doesn't weigh much /

I wasn't even teeth arms never mind spec 4..... Well I mean, having teeth arms would probably make things difficult. it refers to front line fighting troops, who unlike rear echelon mother fucker's need to pass a higher standard of fitness test.... iirc their test included the need to sleep out in basha's for 2 nights slightly longer distances and tighter time constraints on the gym part, oh and the mil swim test was 400 meters with the first 50 totally underwater followed by at least 45 seconds of mushroom and then the 10 meter dive board do a length and collect the brick from the 3meter depth all while fully dressed including boots, and if they were feeling really onerous we had to swim 200 meters in full rig with gun in a plastic bag of course if you water proofed everything properly then your gear acted like a float that counteracted the weight of the body armour but if your gun was wet you failed / actually the basic swim test was the only truly equal thing where the girls didn't get any special options and yes the firs time I went off the 10 meter dive board I was pushed, but that's also true for the first time I did a static line jump at 400 meters as well /

It's only horrible if they get put in the wrong position. I doubt they'd ever be front line material, and they shouldn't be. But undercover, medical, sniping, etc? Yeah, I see them doing that just fine.
