It was Vega asking anyone and everyone if they wanted to try his eggs: "Okay, who wants eggs? Liara, eggs? Traynor? Esteban! Eggs? Joker? Where is that guy? Kaidan, here's some eggs to go with that coffee. Tali? She'll definitely want eggs. Javik, man! You gotta try my eggs! Anyone else? Garrus. You know my eggs. Shepard? Eggs? Shepard."

As a PS3 player I started with ME2 on the suggestion of a buddy who was impressed by it's shooting mechanics and gameplay. We were huge Socom fans mourning the loss of our once great series. So I tried the demo. It was pretty fun and enjoyable and he tells me about the story: Giant spaceships that secretly exist as killer robots that can control and influence those riding within. It reminded me of an awesome concept from an album by The Faceless. Planetary Duality; living breathing planets that exist to destroy. Still, despite all this backstory and awe it hadn't hit me yet. Until Mnemsoyne.
That reaper ship scared the fuck out of me in a good way. When you first step aboard and see its wires and ominous setting. The music, the husks, learning of the Protheans. It all hit me. I absolutely LOVED everything about ME2 and still do. The setting and presentation was the best. I loved the color palettes and the "dark side of the galaxy" backdrop.I couldn't get enough of it. It still gets me today. It's one thing Andromeda needs; darkness and mystique. A more mature tone with more present music and greater effort in the settings. I love this series.

In the OT, definitely meeting Vigil and going after Saren with the thousands of stasis pods everywhere.
2nd to that was the "Ghost Riders in the Sky" Trailer. 1st I love me some Johnny Cash. 2nd I never really expected Mass Effect to return and just everything about that trailer gave me goose bumps.

For me it was the conversation with Sovereign and the realisation that it wasn't a reaper ship - it WAS a Reaper. My mind was blown! This.

ME1 was the game that made me a ME fan. I did played ME2 before and wasn't super convinced then I played the first game and knew that I would love this franchise. The specific moment I realized that was on Ilos with Vigil reveleations and the sad history of the Protheans.

I started the trilogy with ME2, end 2015. In fact, my first attempt to play ME2, a couple of months earlier, had the result "What the hell is this shit - uninstall it now!" How wrong I could be.... When I tried ME2 again, can't say it was a specific moment. It was a sum, a gradual build up of "hey, I actually like this game", with the trigger point in Archangel recruitment mission. In that moment, I knew I need to buy and play ME1. Which I did immediately. In ME1, it was Virmire. Intimidating Wrex, Sovereign and reaper revelation, fighting Saren, the feeling of emptiness after leaving Kaidan behind... Didn't need a moment for ME3. I was already sold to the trilogy. Can't say the same about MEA, though. Still looking for something to hook me in.

The end of ME3. Not because I hated it, but because I actually really liked it and it drew me back into replaying the trilogy. I liked playing the series for the first time a lot, but I never was a fan of Sci-Fi (or shooters, for that matter), and thought it would be the only time I'd play it. By the end of ME3 I was hooked so much that I keep replaying ever since I finished ME3 2,5 years ago, and I won't stop for a long time. MET has become my favourite videogame experience and I cherish a lot of moments in it. Way too many probably

There are so many things I love about the Original Trilogy that it's extremely hard for me to choose.... Virmire, The Battle for the Citadel, The Normandy Reborn, Freedom's Progress, Horizon, the Derelict Reaper, Leaving Earth, Tuchanka, Rannoch, Final conversation with Anderson, Marauder Shields...
But I'll think I'll go with this:
The best moment in gaming history for me. Still gives me goosebumps every time I play the mission again. And immense satisfaction when I get through it with all my squadmates alive.

When you first arrive to the Citadel after Eden Prime. That whole cutscene still feels amazing after an insane amount of PTs.

For me it is a toss up between a conversation with Sovereign and meeting Vigil.
I had hoped that in ME3 we would go back to Ilos and find out about the 12 Protheans who had survived the war and went back to the Citadel. Sadly, in ME3 they made a new antagonist that negated most of Mass Effect one.

Meeting Sovereign. It just blew my mind with the shit it was saying. So mysterious and powerful, and leaving me with the idea that it was some cosmic force fixing problems in the universe.

I was hooked from the moment the main theme swelled over text describing the mass effect. The moment that will remain with me til my dying day is the paragon interrupt during Tali's loyalty mission. Wrapping her in a gentle hug as she cries.

The Leviathan DLC. Such a damn cool DLC that filled in so many gaps. Shoulda been MEA's theme. Something memorable at least.

That underwater intonation in the music couldn't have fit anything better than it did Leviathan, though. My only real problem with the MEA OST is it's a little muted in the game. I've listened to the whole MEA score outside of the game and it's really good. Maybe not as mind blowing as some of music in the OT but it's still really good.

For me it was at the end of my first ME1 playthrough. Seeing the debris crash into the Council chamber and Anderson recovering my squadmates and I realized I had been holding my breath thinking "no way, they did not just kill Shepard", then seeing her climbing through the wreckage and realizing she was alive and i was all like That was when it really sunk in how much the game and its characters meant to me.

Music is such an integral part of ME's universe... it was really a let down that during the most pivotal moments of ME:A the music was basically background noise.
