Sex in BW games is optional. Just how many did you do accidentally? They didn't even bother fixing bugs in the latest patch. But they added another sex scene for you to check off. Priorities. This is the new bioware. Well I can't complain since Sara got some new scenes with Jaal too lol but to be fair, they were just fixing what they never finished, but why am I not getting all these bugs everyone else is? Maybe it's a console thing? I'm on the PC and have had no issues. They fixed broken dialogue triggers, fixed a few broken missions too in the last patch, though I can safely say they messed up the CC slider. Guess I'm lucky that's my only issue.

Honestly? Who fucking cares. You like blue... I like red... half this forum probably hates both. People who played this game liked default Sarah and then some didn't. What matters is they had fun playing the damn game. I could care less if she was "attractive" enough for the internet. I get that you don't care based on your profile pic. Thing is, people play these games as an escape from reality. They want to roleplay as attractive characters. That's why CC was so disappointing. That's why everyone show's off their characters. "Look how hot my Sara is" "OMG so hot!" People care. They don't play RPGs to roleplay as everyday-life uggos. Especially when these uggos will eventually get naked. she looks fine

Perhaps first you have to answer whatever happened to devs developing games just for fun. *shrugs* I always have fun playing a game no matter how it's developed. Even now I am baffled at the complaints about DAI and MEA, but that's just me I guess. Skyrim was the most glitchy game I ever played and it became a classic because of it. I felt DAI and MEA had the same kind of stupid glitches that's a trademark of the BW, and I saw vids on them and was laughing with tears in my eyes. Never had any of them in my own game, but they were hilarious to watch! Not me, I've started and quit several over the years because I didn't find them fun, and I pass over games that don't seem to interest me enough to complete a playthrough, like MEA. I think I may be taking your post too literally though.

I didn't pick up and play ME because I wanted to be "attractive". I picked it up because I love science fiction and roleplaying. I'm old. I go back to the days of Shining Force when just being able to edit the name of your protag was a freaking huge deal.

I don't understand the constant moaning about default Sara to be honest. First - "she's ugly" is subjective, plenty of people find her pretty. Second - you don't actually have to play as her, why complain about it when you will likely never see her in your game? On the subject of Sara's face model - when people google her, most of the results that come up are her professional (read: photoshopped) photos. If you watch a video of her, she looks much closer to Sara. I agree with the general notion that the devs were trying to tone down the "attractiveness" because some feminists keep complaining about shit that doesn't matter females in games being "too atractive". I thought she looked cute. She's not a Vixen. She's basically a young adult in the military. She looks young, wears no makeup. Well-proportioned face. . Scott is hideous. He looks like a Ken doll. (I'm being a bit facetious here, but I'm tired of men insisting that Scott turned out hot and Sara is "uggo" and that's unfair to them. I don't think he's attractive. He's like the Wonder Bread of dudes.)

They deliberately made her less attractive. Not sure how having bigger lips, bulbous nose, buggy eyes, misshapen features is subjective... Her lips and nose don't look that much different from her face model to me. Maybe just her nose, but "bulbous" is exaggerating it quite a bit. Buggy eyes are from the pre-release shots, she looks fine in the actual game, aside from some lightings, but the lightings in this game aren't kind to anyone much. "Attractive" or "less attractive" is still subjective. People also forget that Jayde Rossi is a model and wears a lot of makeup even on her non-professional shots, while Sara has pretty much nothing on her face. Still don't see why people waste time dissecting this whole thing. Don't like her - don't play as her. Just a reminder that the default look is entirely optional.

I'm kind of impressed, given the topic of thread, that 10 pages later it's still going. Good job on being civil, peeps...well, mostly.

It's easy to take screenshot in bad lighting and say it's representative. In some lights all my custom game characters look weird and in others they look great. You're spot on about model vs reality: it's not just that she wears a lot of makeup--they're shopped. And they patched to "fix" her for people who found her first version unattractive. Time to move on.

Right now, so I don't lose my mind, I'm only doing priority missions in MEA, along with LM's and email requests.

Hey guys I'm not finished with DAI yet - it's also my first Bioware game - but I'm already imagining what characters I'll be playing when I get MEA. Since we're on the topic... I just need confirmation if the original default female Ryder can still be created in the game? I watched two YouTube videos breaking down the latest patch and they said that default female has been removed/changed?! I'm hoping to play as the original Ryder on one of my playthroughs.
Platform: PS4 standard.
Thank you.

It's actually a blessing the original Sara wasn't wearing makeup, if you look at the original clown-makeup versions of Suvi and Addison. Proof that there were very few women working on that team. How makeup work? Colors good!

That's it. Unless I am attending an event, then I add a bit of eye shadow and some lipstick. I refuse to wear blush despite having white skin and black hair naturally. If I went Addison's route I would look like Morticia Addams meets Frank N. Furter.

I.... don't. I occasionally have been known to try for events, but in that case, I'm pretty much afraid to do more than mascara and lipstick. Very, very little lipstick.
It's terrifying. Boogaboogabooga.
But yeah, Addison had some serious cojones putting that horrible array on her face every morning.
