I hope that some day, when the turmoil of the MEA release is a distant memory, some some members of this forum have the good sense to be embarrassed regarding their totally unwarranted treatment of Jason Schreier. i hope that one day Jason Schreir has a good long drink and realises what a crappy journslist he's been. Then strive to do better. If he can't handle 'attacks' (aka people questioning his 'anymonous' sources) then he's in the wrong business. I hope that one day you have a good long drink and realize what a crappy game Andromeda is. Kinda makes you feel shitty doesn't it? Not a nice comment to make. The intro was context, as clearly not everyone knew of the Reddit talk - the mai point was the highlighted bits that you didn't bother reading, where i talked about how there's no job openings at BioWare Montreal. He's a geniu because he knows he's found a story that will generate click and conversation (revenue) and he's a genius because the whole thing has been constructed in such a way that he cannot be wrong. Because if they announce dlc tommorow he can say 'guess what guys they're unthawing me' or since he's predicting dlc he'll likely say nothing. No I'm afraid the only b idiots here are you and me. Me for clicking on his garbage in the first place and you for saying there will be no future content despite evidence to the contrary. |

I wonder how he would react if he was treated the same way as people from BioWare are treated? For the way he is being treated seems very tame compared to what they have gotten. correct me if I'm wrong but didn't people get death threats over the ME 3 endings? Yep. There were also things about wishing BioWare would close down or harm to come to their careers along the lines of "you should be fired and nobody ever hires you again". The one that has always bothered me the most was aimed at Jennifer Kepler where they threatened to kill her children for "they should have been aborted at birth then to have her as their mother" just because years earlier she said she didn't enjoy combat in games in an interview and blamed her personally for being a "cancer on BioWare". Right now it seems there is something I am calling the Casey Hudson syndrome. If you work for BioWare you are the devil incarnate, but the moment you leave you become the only person that can save them. |

I know I saw jobs in Edmonton, but I don't think they said what team it was for and they were still working on Anthem at that time. I won't disagree that they didn't go straight into a new Mass Effect game and I think that is a good thing for I think it caused Mass Effect 3 to be rushed. I think it would be counter productive to try and hire more people after a good portion of your employees were moved to other studios anyway for if they were needing people why not just keep the people you were moving around? Right now I think also EA has put a new policy in place under their new CEO and it started with Frostbite so people were interchangeable between studios as well, for now everyone is using the same tools to make games it means it is easier to move people between studios instead of looking for new people while laying off others. |
