Yep, as I was editing my previous post, I noticed all FB links went private or deleted. Probably got cold feet. I alerted two different companies to someone using their adresses or phone numbers for a fake account on FB. I don't really think they will react to that, but the con went bust in any case. The IMDB page is still up by the way. It will take a while to correct IMDB page, because whoever edited SN is likely a same person who run that FB page. And whoever can edit that page will take a while to notice this commotion that happened today. |

Funny, until now people believed Sinclair were a genuine company and everything they said was legit. If whoever was behind it was getting off on posting fake gaming information, why step up from minor more believable things to something so huge it immediately raised red flags and shows you're just making stuff up?
Anyone else remember that guy on the old BSN who legitimately got DA2 early, posted a load of spoilers from it, then did the same thing just before ME3 came out only for it to turn out he didn't have ME3 but was just craving the attention the DA2 stuff got him?

May I just note that this is a peculiar collection of names for someone supposedly being Austrian. Patrick Sinclair, Jorg Kellar - a little more effort seems to have gone into this one, since it's remotely similar to a german name.
Can anyone check the winter wonderland picture Sinclair's using right now. I forgot how you do a picture search on google. I wonder what village that's supposed to be.

I also believed that this whole "Sinclair Networks" was a genuine company, working with many famous brands. As i said before, someone put a lot of effort to look legit and I don't think they did it just to make that MEA hoax. I think they did it just for "fun", but they didn't expect that ME community will go so far with that and will begin a proper investigation. So now on they are, well, fuc..d, and whatever they been doing or planning to do using all those fake profiles - it's over. |
