Anthem is the new Mass Effect. If it succeeds they're looking at it as a ten-year commitment. I suspected that's what you meant but your post wasn't clear. In which case you think a MP shooter is what the ME crowd is after? Are you insane? Yeah, nuts to that. I like a good MP game here and there, but a replacement for a proper singleplayer character-focused game? Crack kills, people.

To be honest, while it's understandable why so many people (me included) would want some clarification on DLC status, I don't think that announcement like "We're working on SP DLC and this is all we can tell you" would actually help. Because I'm pretty sure, that it would immediately start questions: "When will be DLC out? How long it will be? How many DLC's you're planning? Will you put this in DLC? Or this? Or maybe that?" And negative rumors? Sure, why not: "Yeah, they're working on DLC, but there are some big troubles with engine, animations, story writing; misunderstandings between staff; they planned DLC for August, but it will come October; no, November; no, troubles too big, they'll probably cancel it, panic, everyone!" The only way to rid of this kind of stuff is saying loud and clear: "Yes, we're working on SP DLC, it's about this and that, and it will be out on this date". But silence on the other hand gives them way better room for maneuver - they can spend as many time working as they need, test different ideas - and in the meantime check on people interest in game, which also can help them in deciding how many DLC's they'll release and with what content. All of this without a vision of impatient fans - with pitchforks - breathing on their necks. I think we have enough proof DLC will happen, and everyone should just relax and wait now. We just got the wool pulled over our eyes big time for months for believing outside sources just so we had something to go on.

So let me see if I get the gist of this: some Facebook group posts a bogus story about no ME:A SP DLC is coming and all of it's going that APEX nonsense, and then BioWare says that's the Facebook group's story is a hoax? Or am I missing something? That's about it, I guess. Funny they didn't say anything about the DLC part being false. Actually they did say something about it on Twitter; that BioWare makes their own DLC and doesn't use fake contractor companies.

Last night they went too far and the guys here caught them, and the the devs today confirmed they are fake. SN was behind the 5 month delay on the game story and possibly (not confirmed) the MEA on Ice source. They are completely unrelated.

....lol, silence from dev side is the bread and butter of being a SWTOR player. Don't worry, they usually announce something within weeks of release, same goes with MEA's SOP with news of patches and the actual release of the patch.

Or am I missing something? BSN and Reddit users did some detective work and discovered this company is a hoax. On FB page it used Cisco Austria phone number as theirs, it claimed it was based in Millennium Tower yet not shown in building's floor plan and building administration confirmed such company doesn't exist there. Sinclair Networks has also NOT been credited on ME:A's end credits, not even after 1.08 patch. After being called out on the hoax, FB page of the company has been put on private or outright deleted. BioWare had only after that confirmed such company never worked for ME:A. They only added that company was a hoax too, thanks to many diligent users exposing it before work hours starts in Canada. In other words, European BioWare fans are superior!

One thing is certain after this fiasco. There's still a lot of people who want ME:A SP DLC's. EA and BioWare certainly should know that. Clearly this game has a market for DLC's. Whatever they are planning, that hoax and internet reaction to it should let them think twice. People can disagree about many different things, but i think that everyone involved in this and other discussions is still supporting MEA - all others already left BSN.

That would be scary, to say the least. But - Yeah... Internet... If a journalist wasn't able or willing to go through the very simple motions of verifying their sources, they wouldn't deserve to be called a journalist. As I said, it took me about 20 minutes to debunk Sinclair networks. By making two calls and by looking at the phonebook of Vienna. Not even a hack would fall for that trick. And that raises the question what news this latest months IS credible. And on top of this, who go as far as this, just to damage Bioware and ME:A? I mean - What drives that guy/guys/gals/whatever...? As a side note - good work. The right person at the right place yes?

They are completely unrelated. So who is Kotaku's source then? Well he published the article about the troubled development of the game, and used sources related to the problems that went on with changing leadership, changing direction, etc. So if Sinclair Networks didn't actually work on the game, there's no way they could be his source about problems during development.

We'll find out eventually but everything connects to SN's claims, so I am going to say fake news for now.

I just really don't see that someone put so much effort on it just for "fun". Revenge - maybe, fun ? I don't believe in that.

That's why I wonder if his source was SN since they did such a good job at coming across legit and having legit news. Everything they said last night was connected to the article too, so they were good at covering their tracks and getting the right info to make things connect. I give them credit for how long they lasted. Even IMBDb had them listed for MEA. www.imdb.com/company/co0623436/
