I won't play Anthem either way since I don't play online games. So I didn't vote. Still, I think dlc is the road to MEA redemption and BioWare would be foolish not to go that route. Indeed was never planning to get Anthem anyway myself so no need to boycott it.

Can't boycott what you have already boycotted.
That said, if Anthem is a good game, I might buy it on discount. My hate of EA and Disney isn't going to stop me from playing a really good game, even if they produced it.

No ME fan that cares about MEA should buy Anthem or SWBF2 or SW2018. Anything that damaged MEA/BW Montréal is on my shit list. Yes, but the real question is, is anyone that cares about MEA a real ME fan? I would say yes as I love the trilogy as well as MEA as I'm a huge fan of all 4 games. Whilst I don't care much for Anthem I do like the look of Battlefront 2 so we'll see.Tbh I wouldn't asy anything in particular damaged MEAother than it didn't get as much support as it needed during it's development. I doubt Bioware or EA will make that mistake again.

I have no interest in Anthem to boycott it.
But if BioWare has truly given up on Mass Effect, then I won't be buying Dragon Age at launch. I doubt I was going to anyways, because I have no faith in Weekes has a lead writer, but if BioWare show themselves as quitters, then I hope they fail in all future endeavors until they are closed down.

I'm curious about Anthem right now. I think it looks interesting and plan to look for upcoming news with the intention of potentially purchasing. I will not boycott Anthem if there is no MEA DLC.
I really enjoy MEA and hope we do get DLC. I think all credible evidence points to that DLC is on the way. If we don't, I'll be sad, but I will still buy games I think will be fun.

As most of us know, Andromeda was pretty much sabotaged by EA and rivaling Bioware factions. Andromeda deserved to get sabotaged because it was a shit-tier idea to begin with. They should have stayed in the Milky Way and explored the galaxy as it would have looked a few decades after the Reapers fell and the Mass Relays stopped working due to the damage inflicted on them by the Crucible.

I played Destiny a lot when it cames out, and the RNG system for looting was such a pain in the ass, that I'm highly skeptical for Destiny 2. Anthem ? Why ? a RNG based FPS like Destiny is already a lot, so why another game that seems very, very similar.

I say wut evs. I listen to criticism, especially when it comes to Bioware games since DA2. I prefer to be an informed consumer. I don't agree with the idea that everyone has to test out everything for themselves - please, I have neither the time nor the energy, and I just want to play a fun game. So, really, what was your point anyway?

Not trying to be a dick, but I didn't make any grand claim about anything. I made a very general statement, which was worth 2c at most. Not sure why you're trifling on this?

Um, no?
If I was inclined to buy the DLC, and it was an actual thing that had been cancelled, I doubt the cancellation would inspire me to boycott anything. I wouldn't see the point.
Greeting Anthem on its own merits doesn't reveal something that looks interesting to me, so in all likelihood it would be word of mouth that would incline me to buy it, if I do.

Here's a rough analogy: Anybody here boycott Assassin's Creed because Ubisoft ultimately ended Prince of Persia for it? And the beloved PoP series had The Sands of Time trilogy, which like the ME OT is in the discussion for greatest trilogies of all time. Yes.
Main differences are PoP had two final releases (PoP 2008 - a reboot that garnered mixed reactions, somewhat akin to MEA - and intriguingly had a single DLC, an ending DLC, actually, and was one of the first games ever to feature story DLC, in fact, and also the forgettable but fun Forgotten Sands interquel), a movie (hint, hint Bioware), and that the fans of PoP didn't necessarily see the end coming - they just realized over time that their series had been replaced.
The ultimate difference, of course, is that most people, I'd reckon, view AC as superior to PoP, even though it's more gameplay-focused ultimately and less story-focused compared to AC's original "trilogy" (probably similar to Anthem vs. ME, right?). The exception is that we don't know if Anthem will become the superior series to ME, and there are a lot of people here who can't fathom that possibility, as Anthem is as yet unproven.
I'm not really trying to say anything one way or the other, except to express a rough analogy that might give some food for thought.

If BW ditches MEA for another RPG people wouldn't have been hating it this much

If you mean both are action/adventure, sure. But if you look at the gameplay mechanics, they're very, very different. Then again, both ME and Anthem are in the action RPG genre, right. though likewise the gameplay mechanics are very, very different.

Both AC and PoP took place in the past and you climbed shit in both if PoP was still being developed it would be identical to ac. ME is an RPG and Anthem is a MP shooter unlike PoP and AC they are very far apart

I tried the free version of SWTOR just to see if I might like it. Turns out, the lag was so bad I could do exactly 0 damage to anything. So, yeah, not interested in online only play.
