I'll boycott it anyway. I got a Destiny 2 key for free. If Anthem becomes good I'll maybe buy it, but first the EA payslaves and fanboys will betatest it for me. MEA is and was the only game I preordered within the last years.
I might preorder Cyberpunk 2077, but I'm not sure.

I favor expansion into other genres just like I favor companies expanding into other product lines. Too much focus in a narrow area makes the business more vulnerable. So, no, I'm not going to boycott Anthem since I believe doing so would only hurt their ability to stay alive as a corporation and continue producing RPGs.
I believe they genuinely enjoy making RPGs and will continue to do so as long as at least some of their fans show that they appreciate their efforts. If their enjoyment in making RPGs is snuffed out by the vindictive members of their fanbase, they will probably stop making them and move completely onto whatever other ventures give them more satisfaction... and there is no guarantee they would sell IPs to other companies to continue them.
In short, I'll look at Anthem when it's closer to being released and decide for myself at that time whether I want to buy it. OP - You can shove your sour grapes boycott where the sun doesn't shine.

As most of us know, Andromeda was pretty much sabotaged by EA and rivaling Bioware factions. The interesting part is, Bioware fans are primarily Mass Effect and Dragon Age players. Nobody is a fan of their new Anthem game yet so technically nobody would miss it if they never got to play it. However, fans will miss Mass Effect if it gets completely abandoned because its an established franchise with a huge fan base. That said, every Mass Effect fan is a potential Anthem fan. But would those fans really wanna try out something new from Bioware if they thought for one minute that Bioware/EA were going to abandon Anthem the way they did with Andromeda? Can they be trusted? One way to convince fans to cross over and try out their new game Anthem would be to gain our trust and release the Quarian Ark DLC. That would show they're serious about maintaining their IP's and not simply letting it fall into ruin. So with that said, cast your votes. Wait...if Anthem isn't really a thing for someone (like me) to begin with can we answer this poll? Because I want to say "yes" but it wouldn't be actually true because I have no investment in Anthem. The same here.

At this point I hold no interest in Anthem. The reveal felt like the Division. While I am not going to intentionally boycott Anthem, the companies behavior leaves me unlikely to pre-order if I do pick up interest. I have more faith in Bungie than I do Bioware.

No, not going to boycott or anything, but I'm more interested in ELEX than Anthem atm, so not sure how likely I am to play Anthem anyway.

When we learned ME3 would include multiplayer, we were all angry and some suggested the multiplayer should be its own separate game. Well here it is.
It will absolutely not look like in the demo (every game gets downgraded) but if it turns out to be actually fun and I have a good connection by launch, I may play it.

I said yes but in a really soft way.
Current: Not especially excited, but open to the Bioware brand to make it more than otherwise (Division, Destiny, etc...).
Possible if this happens: Uninterested, will only keep eyes open for info but it doesn't really have me 'on board'.
If only due to lack of confidence in their confidence in their products.

It will absolutely not look like in the demo (every game gets downgraded) but if it turns out to be actually fun and I have a good connection by launch, I may play it. Right. I don't always play RPGs, but when I do... it's BioWare. Now, they're offering something like Mass Effect with the training wheels off? Ok. I'm game. Drew Karpyshyn is the lead and I love his writing. He's got quite a resume. BUT! The git-gud part. Oh boy... it's all about practice and really reading those wikis. Either way, I'm excited to play something like Shattered Steel. I'm down with another Jade Empire (Single-player campaign, multiplayer tournament style). Anthem, as long as it's polished (because I'm not pre-ordering it. No freaking way.) then I will get it. Will I blow money on microtransactions? Depends. If it turns to pay-to-win, I'm out and EA will probably go there. That's the scumbag reputation EA carries with it.

Im not intrested in anthem anyhow. Destiny is trash, as are its clones most likely. What makes you sure? I liked Warframe, but now I have everything and don't see a reason to play it anymore, finding coop partners for the endgame is impossible. I wish I could have tested Destiny 1, but it is not avaiable on my platform.

Voted no, but dlc or not, it'll take some major revelations for me to be interested in Anthem. I already don't play Destiny, why would I play what looks like the bastard of that and The Division?

I bought MEA,, I will buy Anthem (There will be single player content) and I will buy the new DA game when it comes out too.... I like to play single more, but with the right guys, MP is fun too. Just my thoughts. Uh, considering Bungie's non-answer when hyping up Destiny, I'm assuming Anthem is the same. "It's an online only game like an MMO' but you can solo SOME content."

I don't really care either way. I made the decision to wash my hands of Andromeda and anything that comes after it so the series is dead to me. Would be nice if they didn't leave people who are still interested in MEA hanging.

I couldn't care less about MEA at this point. Even if there is a DLC coming, I probably won't even buy it. Since when do all games need DLC anyway? I still don't like the whole DLC cash cow in general. Bioware games were the only games until W3 I even spent money on for extra content. And I still hated how that cost me 70 bucks just for Mass Effect. Way overpriced.
Not even the biggest story DLC will change anything about the cliffhanger ending to what's basically a long prologue. And chances are the franchise really does get shelved. Which is fine by me after what Montreal did to it.
So from my perspective there is no reason I should want DLC for a dead new galaxy.
I have no interested in an online only multiplayer game either. But let's say I'm slightly more interested in Anthem than a DLC.

You either have me confused with someone else or I'm be trolled, either way, no I didn't enjoy Andromeda. It's not the worse game I have ever played, but it's by far the worst of the 4 ME games that I have played. Bioware is busy chasing the golden carrot and moving in a direction that I'm not interested in going. Going to take a wait and see approach with DA 4 and will decide if I'm done with Bioware and EA in general depending on the outcome.

In my humble opinion, if you are indeed going to boycott, then doing so on one specific game would strike me as pretty meaningless in all honesty. You might as well just not be buying the game because you can’t afford it, don’t like the look of it, or any other applicable reason as to why you wouldn’t buy a game in the past.
If the community really did want to make a point, it would need to cease purchases of ANY future titles/DLC published by EA, or developed by Bioware. Along with polite & respectful e-mails or other correspondence, by all the individuals in question to explain why they will not do so until practises change. (Bioware for wasting the 5 year development cycle, & EA pushing out a clearly un-finished game thinking we’d all lap it up anyway.)
If it were just me or you doing that, they could safely ignore us and plough on. If thousands, tens of thousands however did the same, that has a chance of doing something. While it didn’t have the completely desired impact, the “Take Back Mass Effect 3” campaign back in the day that responded to the horrid ending of the trilogy, showed that when many get together on something and start pushing, it can force them do something to fix it. Though in all honesty, I think that was peak level of influence the community had post the EA purchase of Bioware. Who knows though, if the right someone/group can rally enough people, maybe change can be forced by the masses once again.
I love how the picture is quietly being painted that is it somehow our fault that MEA didn’t sell/review as well as the suits hoped. It’s all entirely on their shoulders for the mess the game is in, as I’ve said before, they actually thought the public would just be happy to see a new ME game and suck it all up regardless, that's how dumb & for granted they think we are. Worth thinking about when you see their future titles/DLC next up for grabs.

I said it before the hypocrisy is amazing. You have people who said ME:A got a fair shake, people wanted to hate the game for no reason, the game never got judged on its merits, don't understand why people would want a game to fail. Now some of these same people are advocating the same exact thing towards Anthem. smh... The SN hoax thread, people had the pitchforks out. This is a Mass Effect board with ME fans. Many of us are upset about the reports of how ME got shafted basically for Anthem. Not surprising that many Mass Effect fans plan on skipping Anthem as a protest. Others have said that Anthem isn't their type of game. They play Bioware games for single player content, and don't want a online, loot driven game.

Actually, I'm waiting to see if this Quarian DLC gets made to decide whether or not I buy Andromeda. They seem to have fixed a lot of the technical issues that discouraged me in the first place, but I've still no interest in a dead game with a boring universe (bringing more back elements from the previous trilogy would go a long way toward rectifying the latter).
Anthem isn't even on the radar. If I hated Destiny, why would I like a knockoff of it?

No, I will not boycott anthem for a variety of reasons. The first one being it's made a by a separate studio and punishing them for other peoples mistakes makes no sense. The second major reason I won't boycott is the logic of it. Why punish EA for learning from their mistakes? EA clearly sees that Andromeda was a disappointment, which is a very good thing. I don't really see how boycotting would be a reasonable "punishment" for not making DLC to a game that they might (key word here MIGHT) view as a failure. There are many reasons boycotting is justified but a company not making content is a a pretty weak one.
