My bigest concern is we well have batarians now and not the roekaar on multiplayer. Since the singleplayer not introduce them (batarians), and the piece of lore will probably will be writed on the blog, NOT in the game.

The angaran and the roekaar is all in the game, but the they are not selectable

Ah yes! I don't care about MP.

So it was just what? Posted a few hours early? They pulled it down. Then said it's got nothing to do with SP DLC then put it back up? Makes. No. Sense.  Strange, strange, strange

Platinum and a new MP character is good, but if this was tied to a SP DLC it would be perfection. My hope keeps slowly vanishing. 

So yeah, read the comments in that thread for the teaser. So many people looking for SP DLC and quarians! Maybe more than care about the MP. Lots of likes too for the  quarian/DLC comments. KEEP THEM COMING!

Adding to my original statement I would say that this is too much of a buildup to not be a SP DLC behind all this. Combine that with the comic con QA on saturday and the pattern becomes pretty clear. I think they will at least tell us something if not actually showing us a teaser trailer there

From a PR standpoint this is an absolutely brilliant move. The hype for SP DLC is astronomic, maybe even bigger than the main game itself. Pretty much the entire internet that cares about Mass Effect with the exception of a bunch of very vocal trolls and haters are begging for a DLC. If they confirm that they are working on a DLC the press and the players will sing praises to Bioware for listening, positive ratings will flow and it will get a lot of people onboard the hype train. They will buy the DLC and with it, the main game.

It appears the feedback is mixed at best. The better PR approach would be for EA to just end the Schrodinger's DLC controversy, then we can all deal with whatever outcome and maybe take all the other stuff in better perspective? I'm semi hopeful that the meeting on the 8th may see someone shed a little light on it.

Plus, we're getting due for another patch, 1.09.

I'd say its more harmful than brilliant. Ignoring your fans, releasing DLC moments after announcing it so the players can't judge whether its worth investing in, not quelling the media when they are claiming that there will be no DLC as fact. People would be eager for the DLC whether they announce it a day before released or two months, but their attitude and actions are antiquated in this modern gaming era and not customer supportive.

Yep, noticed things like that too. It's not anything that bothers me overall, it just makes me wish they'd had six more months.

There are a lot of people who lost hope that the game will get DLC's. An announcement that will thoroughly and violently debunk all the speculation that has been going for the last few months will get people all emotional. The happiness will make people completely forget that they were dead silent for a few months.
I didn't say that they will release the DLC right away, the confirmation could range from a simple "Yes" to a teaser trailer or even an announcement trailer. My bet is that at best we will see a teaser.
Also getting new people who hesitated to buy the game will most likely give it a try now with all the hype train. Now that the game is patched most of them will tell themselves: "Why did this game got so much flak?"
