It's cool. I just noticed after I posted that 2 or 3 people had already said the same thing. I felt like a parrot there for a sec. I think vonuber hit the nail on the head, though. We know there's at least 3 million copies sold, maybe more. If anyone doesn't think EA isn't salivating at charging $20 or more for MEA DLC to that base, well, they don't know EA very well. I think one of the reasons peeps are so on edge over ME:A DLC is because of the game's "critical reception" and all of the Kotaku articles. I know for one that that shit spun me right up... which in hindsight was prolly their purpose...... I feel stupid now. Spun everyone up and rightfully so. Shitty articles should catch shit. I was a little disappointed at the critical reception of ME:A but I could tell, especially after patch 1.06 was released, that it had gone from "this game has problems" to something else entirely. Some bizarre hate train. Frankly, I supported the hashtag idea not because I think it'll actually influence anything, but because it'll let the BW devs know how large the fanbase is. I think those poor bastards need that right now...well, and it's sure to let EA know there's a market for DLC. The thing is, the DLC has to be good. Really, really good. EA/BW can't afford for it to have the same tepid reception as the main game.

The Cerberus Network wasnt a season pass...you got it free with the purchase of a new game. It was only if you bought game used that you had to pay for the DLC separately which is cool by me. ME3 didn't have a season pass either...From Ashes was a Collectors Edition bonus that you had to pay for separately if you just bought the base game. To me, that was crappy but still not a seasons pass I guess I misremembered shit. The whole situation is just outright odd though. I can't image an EA game not getting DLC. Even Dead Space 3 got a DLC. I imagine deadspace 3 was predicated to do well (and it didn't) and they probably already had the DLC in the making by launch that money was already out in it so why ditch it? May as well finish it at that point and give the last content of dead space away. Deadspace went to crap after the first if you ask me. im not surprised there's no season pass either, bioware really doesn't use them (exception being ME2 and only ME2 regardless what anyone says) plus EA is getting away from it in general cause most games don't make them worth the price.

The question to ask yourself is does EA like money? That may be the reason MEA won't get DLC, combined with the critical acclaim and reception. It's just not that simple.

They have to do the quarian DLC eventually... They will need more races for multiplayer, and they can't keep falling out of cryostasis forever.

I think they would be mentally challenged to put the very clear teaser for quarian ark DLC in the epilogue right where it would be most fresh in people's minds if they did not plan it or know if they were going to do it. Talk about giving people a reason to hate you. That right there is just about as cruel as any game developer could be.

Does anyone think that maybe, just maybe, BioWare/EA never planned any SP DLC at all in the first place? I mean, there was no season pass, which is extremely odd for EA.Discuss. No Bioware game ever had any season pass, even if all of them had dlc at one point.

You're assuming those buyers would all get the DLC... 40% of buyers purchased ME3's day 1 launch DLC - I'd have to think future DLC sales would have had a much lower attach rate. Either way, EA has all the data - they can see how may people are actively playing Andromeda so the only answer to the question is if/when DLC releases.

Depends on which version of the ME3 package you bought. Mine came with the DLC. I still paid for it, but it installed alongside the game so if they're listing numbers of people who bought From Ashes as a separate package they may not include people who bought the Digital Deluxe. Or they may. Who knows? I think if they can clear 1 million units on a 15 to 20 hour DLC they'd consider that worth the investment, depending on the price point they attach to the DLC which would probably fall into the $15 to $20 range.

Well the purpose of any dlc's intentions at least in my mind aren't really there to sell copies. They are to keep the community afloat from losing interest. If they happen to sell copies? The Cerberus Network wasnt a season pass...you got it free with the purchase of a new game. It was only if you bought game used that you had to pay for the DLC separately which is cool by me. ME3 didn't have a season pass either...From Ashes was a Collectors Edition bonus that you had to pay for separately if you just bought the base game. To me, that was crappy but still not a seasons pass Wasn't that a response to GameStop? And is there ever been a time that BioWare didn't have DLC?
