They're not yanking anybody's chain. They simply say they can't talk about it since they can't talk about it. Is that really so hard to understand? Doesn't anyone of you yanking chain guys work in a corporate environment to understand the basics of company communications? Yeah... outright declaring "ME:A will not get SP DLC" would be corporate suicide. As much as I want a straight answer, we will never get one.At this point though... I don't even think I'll be angry-just relief that we finally got a answer. I can move on to other games. I do recall that DAI--well before its release that a Microsoft E3 conference they revealed "premiere content first on Xbox". With MEA there have been no such statement beyond "we can't talk about it" BS. I don't know if that's proof there won't be dlc, but we got an answer well before release of the game. |

There is also Dragon Age panel with Mike Laidlaw. Maybe something about DA4 ??? Not likely. BioWare would be smart to avoid marketing conflict between Anthem and DA4. Even though it is blatantly obvious DA4 is in development, they won't make an official announcement for a long time. |

I'm more inclined to believe DLC will be announced (if indeed, there is any in the pipeline) in exactly the same way they've always announced DLC - that is, out of the blue. I can't remember them ever announcing any DLC at any conventions.
Its really easy to get into a bubble with the atmosphere on this forum. Aside from Jason's ego trips, very few actually care that DLC hasn't been announced yet, including the people who enjoyed it. I very much doubt Bioware are actually nervous about the effects of continued silence. Hell, its not even their decision to keep schtum. The same goes for all this bollocks about how if it isn't announced here, it won't be announced at all. If it were announced at this comic con it would be early-to-normal by Bioware's release track record, and that's assuming everything went smoothly with the main game release (which is fairly clear didn't happen in this case). That's actually a great point. While BioWare did show off content from DLC's at some convections, announcements always came before them. |

My personal feeling is no, they won't. I'm hoping they do but I just don't think that's the stage they'll do it from. It's a big stage and I think it'll be more about Anthem and teasers about DA4, plus it's well before my magic number of 8/21. I think if there's something to be heard about ME:A DLC it'll be in late August, early Sept, which would be about the usual time frame for BW DLC releases.

If there's nothing to report, they won't make a statement. Staff won't say anything in any case, since they aren't privileged to make a company statement. They were the ones looking for clues in any word in the game as well as outside sources of dubious origin. |

I hope that they do, but somehow I really doubt it, and I do hope that I'm wrong. IMHO SDCC is too noisy and "big announcements" tend to get lost in all of the noise. At best we might get some news on new Mass Effect and Dragon Age comics, novels, toys, and other media and maybe we info if there will be any comics, novels, toys, and other media for Anthem.
Video game wise I would say at best that there might, (and the key word here is: MIGHT), be some more news and/or an update on Anthem, but even that might be a stretch. I mean what else could they say and/or show so soon after it's E3 reveal that isn't already known or that EA/BioWare want to the public to know.
