Why don't you go viper some videos then?
j/k
What makes the game boring is lack of maps imo, but we're getting 2 permanent ones at the end of this month, so I'm looking forward to that. Also hoping that they make Roekarr a fully fledged faction or add whatever enemies there are to add if we get a Quarian DLC.

I want to believe it's also because we were used to a lot more variety in kits in addition to races available.
We have one Batarian now but we're missing these from ME3 at least:
Drell male and female Quarians Vorcha Volus(even if it was to be silly, they were pretty effective) EDI(unique thing but could be a robot or cyborg or...something) Collector(also unique but listing it anyway) Geth(fat chance of it happening since Andromeda left before ME3 stuff happened, I know) Ex-Ceberus whipdudes(could happen maybe) The N7 folks(I miss the Slayer, Sentinel and Destroyer so much)
Feels like nowadays most new kits that come out have one new ability, conc shot/overload/energy drain and barricade(I cannot stand this ability being put on so many kits).
Each DLC drop in ME3 had similar things for each kit that came out but they usually added something unique each time to more than just one ability.
Batarians introduced falcon punch, ballistic blades, blade armor and submission net. Geth introduced Hunter Mode wallhax, geth turret, unique melee. Vorcha introduced Flamer and Bloodlust. Male Quarians introduced Arc Grenade and Tactical Scan. Ex-Cerberus introduced Lash and Smash. N7 folks introduced so many things:
N7 Fury's Annihilation Field(and synergy with dark channel/throw) Destroyer's Multi-frag grenade, missile launcher and devastator mode for more oomph/tankiness N7 Demolisher adding in Supply Pylon for grenade spam and being able to regen ammo/possible shields while needing to hunker down sometimes N7 Paladin offering Snap Freeze and the synergy between shattering things with it via shield evolutions, incinerate and energy drain(yes these abilities were already a thing but the synergy offered was great) N7 Shadow having Shadow Strike(which I'm thankful the Avenger has) and Electric Slash(not as useful but still) and the unique sword added with it N7 Slayer offering the Phase Disruptor/Charge synergy and also having biotic slash(not as effective but eh). Also both the Slayer and Fury being able to teleport through walls.
They started having kits have previous abilities when they introduced the Hazard kits, but they also added new things from it, such as the Volus Shield Restoration, Recon Mine, Jet Turian Stimulant Pack, etc.
Then the final DLC which added: A hulking krogan warlord sentinel with health regen and a hammer that absolutely wrecked things An engineer that had an omni-bow with concussive and armor piercing bolts(these things hit so hard, was crazy), and with cain trip mines The Collector adept that added Seeker Swarms, ascended mode and the like The female turian poison specialist vanguard(truly one of the more unique kits) EDI bot with a self-reviving ability and shotgun focused cloak GETH JUGGERNAUT that was so much fun to face tank things
TL;DR: No more barricade on kits! >:|
Edit: added geth and the retaliation DLC folks.

Any activity - and any game - will be boring for the "wrong" kind of person.
The only solution is to find something you like. Well, either that or learn about the thing that you thought was boring. (Not understanding can contribute massively to boringness.) Well, either that or come back when you are in a different mood. But that's the only way. Well, that, or playing with friends. Sometimes doing things with friends can make doing that thing worthwhile. But that's the only way to deal with this. Honest. Or, ok, sometimes they can fix things to make it better. But that usually takes time...

The biggest issue for me more so than the lack of maps variety (which has been somewhat alleviated with alternate skyboxes) is the overall lack of power and character variety. There were 55 characters in ME3 and only 25 in ME:A atm.
The the vast majority had at least one unique power, sometimes more, the vast majority in MEA don't. Almost every biotic character for example has lance and throw which gets old real fast compared to when we had Reave, Warp, Dark Channel, Cluster Grenades, Stasis, lash, smash, Dark Sphere, Biotic Sphere, etc. Biotic characters were the most fun, now they are the least fun to the extent that I actively avoid playing them. There are only 3 vanguards in the entire game. As many as the no of characters with Barricade and 1 of those is UR.
Not only are returning characters usually weaker but most of the more interesting ones are missing and the new powers and characters just aren't doing it for me - Salarian Architect, Angara Exemplar are prime examples. Most of the fun characters - Dualist, AA, gladiator are ultra fucking rare and need 20 ur cards. Build variety (possibilites) is practically non-existent.
All of the different races had unique racial passives, running, dodging and melee animations before and every character had two melee attacks so literally everything across the bored has been slashed and homogenised and the enemies themselves aren't as diverse and aren't as much fun to fight. All in all one step forwards, two step backwards.
I practically grinded my balls off initially expecting tons of ME3 quality DLC every couple of months so you can imagine my utter disappointment 3-4 months in when that time investment is rewarded with 500 reskins of money-siphoning and bullshit weapons and 5 new characters and weapons in nearly 5 months. It's been a major let down but it is still fun. Platinum is the most fun i've had since ME3MP.

I remember when the retaliation dlc pack came out and everyone was excited to see all the different builds people had for the characters and all the new weapons and enemies. Sadly with this game these discussion are few and far between. There just isnt much variety in the character kits and the distribution of dlc has done more harm than good. It all feels so sterile and detached from the glory days of me3mp

One thing that's really irked me is the core gameplay changes. ME3 was definitely faster than ME2, but there was a deliberateness with which you moved around the map. You learned not only the spawn locations but the probable makeup of that spawn so that you didn't run into a Banshee or pack of Phantoms. With Andromeda, you just shoot stuff as it walks/floats toward you.
Speaking of enemies, remember when sync kills were dangerous and not in the "I'll sync kill you for being 1 foot above me" way the Fiends are now or the magnet-hands Banshees? I'm talking in the way that, if you screwed up and a Phantom snuck up on you or you were too close to a Banshee or Brute, you died. It never felt good when that happened, but it gave those enemies a greater sense of threat. Do you shoot the two Ravagers that are far away or the Banshee that's rushing you? With Andromeda, you can just jump over Fiends, Ascendant, and Hyrdas, and can dodge out of an Ascendant sync before it happens.
That's really it to me: no enemy in Andromeda feels like it's a higher priority than others. There's no picking and choosing targets anymore, just shoot whatever's in front of you. If you get in trouble, just dash away a few times and your good. Odds are, the enemies won't kill you while you're dashing. In 3, if you got caught out, you had to either fight your way out or try to run. if you ran, you were open to fire. You had options to weigh when picking targets. Map knowledge mattered because you needed to make sure you didn't run into a spawn, or if you did you needed to know how to get out.
Yeah, in essence each game boils down to a simple horde mode, but the slight gameplay differences really do make a difference to me. 3 required a bit more forethought at the cost of slower, more deliberate play. Andromeda's faster but at the cost of depth. Not to mention the power setups are blegh, there's almost nothing new for weapons, and the terrible movement system that allows Bioware to only add verticality to their maps and nothing else. Oh, and the shittillion unlocks.

More maps and characters will not fix the underlying problems with MEAMP. QU67 is right, new maps will not make the enemies fight any different.
And like QU67 said, there's more wrong than that. It's the feel of the game. Everything - guns, characters, enemies, sound, controls - they all lack weight. Everything you do feels more "lucky" than skillful. Off host headshots? Single shot weapons take a back seat to spraying. Feels like watering a lawn.
New maps or characters will not be of any use. The fact that the grind is way worse only compounds the issue. Rewards are less rewarding, and character progress is slow, and locked behind RNG.
MEAMP is still fun in small bursts or with friends, but it doesn't have the feel to keep me playing like ME3MP.

The problem is the enemies are lame. ↑↑↑ This 100% Not to mention the whole premises of going to a NEW galaxy was the selling point, we get there and there are 2 new sentient species to the Mass Effect universe and they are literally the same. THE ANGARAN ARE KETT... They need to do what they did in ME3 and add more diverse enemy units and add an additional faction to fight, which is a problem as again they created so little in the base game they would have to invent a new enemy for us or bring back Geth, Cerberus, the Collectors, or Reapers. Sure Mass Effect 3 only had 4 factions by the end of its life cycle, but each faction had like 13 units which varried between one another, Mass Effect Andromeda has 3 factions each only has like 6 units, some of which are just specifically when it comes to comparing Outlaws and Kett are basically just reskins of one another.

I can't afford the alcohol I need to find this multiplayer fun, with or without friends.
And believe me I have tried many many times to get into it.
The first match is a swearfest as I adjust to the gameplay, then I typically last 2-3 more matches before I've had enough.
And one playthrough of the SP was enough thanks.
I should've kept Horizon Zero Dawn to play afterwards, not before 😋

Funny, I got bored of both about the same time. I kept going back to ME3MP only because I had nothing else to do and was stuck basically in one room due to injuries for a few months and couldn't afford anything else to play.
If I was still really playing I think 1.09 would have killed my interest because of the weapon variants they just added. I think adding something else such as weapon mods that would do the same thing would have been a more interesting approach instead of what feels like an intentional grind.

Mass effect Andromeda is a single player role playing game with a MP side mission. ME3 is still a game if you guys wanna play.... Welcome to the world that games like angry birds and candy crush have created where you don't have to work for anything and everything is easy and casual.... Everytime you feel like there is something wrong with the game... just think.... casual....

Anyone else feels this way? I wish it was as good as Mass Effect 3. Only every time I play it. BioWare EA really shouldn't have switched to frostbite and forced to start from scratch because you can't replicate where lightning strikes. The ME3mp foundation was so good, they should have just built upon it. EA and their dumb frostbite engine is more trouble then it's buzz word worth.

The problem is the enemies are lame. This is what I've said before in a topic I previously started and still believe to be the biggest issue with the game. The other problem for me is that the weapons don't feel as satisfying as ME3.

I too have been trying to get into sp as I keep wasting my APEX loot on level 7 stuff, so wanted to level up more. But these go here, no go here and back back again quests make me feel like the worlds dumbest yo-yo. Worst quests implementation ever. Every time I'm at the title screen and hear that somber music, I think "The death of Mass Effect."

No it's not. But, you know, that's just like my opinion, man. I'm with this guy... I don't know if I would admit to that. In all seriousness, there's a multitude of stupid shit in this game. Released in beta stage (that's being generous), lack of diverse kits/powers, hiding skill points behind character cards(my biggest gripe until weapon skin dump), definitely needs more units for enemy factions, terrible ass Frostbite, etc. But, I do like the game. I can play with buddies for hours. Pugging can get a bit boring at times, but I like the game. And, I definitely understand why people don't like the game.
