The Movie/Film Thread

Despite me being able to debunk his entire scheme, indeed the entire plot of the movie inside five second flat...

Yeah he came off as a very ruthlessly pragmatic if sympathetic character though that sort of shifted towards the end.

I saw these two movies yesterday.





I love these two movies and one badass Uma Thurman and gallons and gallons of blood.

The problem with Dracula is the baggage it carries, so many previous interpretations serious and parody.  The problem with the movie Bram Stoker's Dracula is Keanu Reeves as Jonathan Harker.  Keanu Reeves should never be put anywhere near a period piece, as all we see is Keanu Reeves not the character, it's not credible.  If I was casting that film at that time  I'd keep Gary Oldman as Dracula,  cast Johnny Depp as Harker and in an ironic twist hire Christopher Lee as Van Helsing.

Heh... Grunt probably would keep a bunch of Viking vids in his omnidrive.

On a lighter note.

You do know that the krogan are warriors right? they would respect strong warrior culture of other species regardless of their origin and history. Once they learned of the Vikings, Mongols, Huns, Yotvingians, etc. they be envying humans all over, considering the aftermath of ME3 ending lol

Saw it earlier, and I can attest to the veracity of this post.

I was a total dinosaur nut as a kid, and seeing this in theaters when it was released (I was 11 years old I think) this is easily going to stay in my top 5 picks of all-time favorite movies. The Lost World was fun, but the quality of the franchise only took a steady decline in quality from there, though I sometimes feel alone in thinking that Jurassic World is total hot garbage, and somehow managed to look worse in the effects department. 

Edit: To add, I think that instead of adding the first female death to the franchise, they should have introduced the first child death. Those boring kids should have at least been pared down to 1. If the pteranodon scooped up one of them and dunked him into the mesosaur pool instead of the only character I actually identified with (I wouldn't want to watch some snooty shit's annoying nephews either) I would at least be able to give the movie a thumb's up somewhere. But no, they live, and the person who actually deserved to die the most manages to outrun a T-Rex in high heels. 

One of my favorite scenes in The Hobbit. Even though she is going against a Sauron who isn't at his full strength, you still see how powerful Galadriel is. She's an ancient elf from the First Age, the days of Morgoth.
