Casey Hudson will save Mass Effect

First off, despite what anyone might think about how the ME3 endings went down, Casey was one of the key people to make the ME universe a reality in the first place. So this guy will always be an ace in my book.

However, will he save Mass Effect? I'd have to say "probably not". He is now general manager of all of BioWare. He is no longer Game Director for ME. It's a completely different role with different requirements and frankly, I think it's tough to say how he'll pan out in that role.

As for ME, I think it was pretty clear that he wanted to do something else after ME3 (and who can blame him, they were working on that franchise for over a decade at the time after all). So we may find that he's much more into Athem and other projects these days than ME. I am not saying it has to be that way, but I do think it's likely.

So while I think it's kinda nice to see himback at BW and in this position (certainly nice for him, so ), I would not want to speculate on the consequences that this will have on ME or any of the BW franchises. I certainly wouldn't immediatly jump to the conclusion that this is "the new dawn" for Mass Effect.
