You don't even need to watch the entire vid. 11:52-12:00 (7 seconds) look how fast he AND HIS SQUAD drop a blaze hydra...that is at least 59K damage dealt to a single enemy in that time. I would love to see a group of infiltrators doing that. Thank you killa, I need to get a youtube channel so I can start putting my videos where my mouth is, but you beat me to it. LMAO! There was no hack objective in that match. They got Upload/Boss/Boss. Plus they're all using Siphon Rozerad and Siphon Hurricanes on PS4 with aim assist xD Siphon N7 weapons have the same stats as lvl 10 vanilla N7 weapons + lifesteal. Of course they're tearing stuff up. I'm pretty sure i'd have an easier time of it if my manifest was maxed. But most people's aren't. This still doesn't change the fact that Hack objectives are broken as fuck on Platinum thanks to the Hack being halted when enemies simply step into the circle. It's not like Upload where your squad can split up and thin the enemy's flow. They are programmed to camp the Hack circle and respawn almost directly on top of it. It's badly designed. Should bioware make it easier? No. But they should change it to something else. Hell even the old 'Protect the President' objectives from ME3 were better than Hack (the one where u had to escort the repair drone). They could have used that instead but called it 'Protect the Informant,' it would be your squad's mission to keep the informant alive and guard him until he could escape. Do you think you are in the right difficulty with a weapon that does 75 damage at 925 RoF vs enemies 50K+ health and DR? Umm... I hate to break this to you (no i dont ), and everyone else who seem to think so, but... platinum is not for people looking to get better weapons. Its for people who already had near max manifest and were looking for a challenge... not for payout... You need really good high level weapons to beat the hardest difficulty in Mass effect....who'd a thunk it... And for those who don't know.... 75 damage at 925 RoF is a Hurricane X.....

With barrel X and passives you get maybe 110 a bullet x 68 (standard clip with mag) = 7480. Essentially need to land 95% of your bullets of three straight hurricane X clips (with barrels X and mag mod x) to kill a single berserker on platinum. Thats a lot of time...how many times will you get flax stunned in between? Shot by other enemies? Its the invasion, its the snap freeze, its the sustained fire, its the crit shots, its the vulnerability gear, its the targeting VI, its all these things usually combined that help kill things fast. 40% annihilation field can be nice too....even the insurgent gives everyone he shields boosts 20% extra damage for 8 seconds or so... A vanilla hurricane by itself is shooting marshmallows into big armor on platinum and the hurricane is probably (in my view certainly) the overall best gun in the game (kishock right behind). Its all about coop and team synergy. Sucks when you have bad PUGs but you can't really blame a COOP game for bad teammates or weak manifests (I think the grind is shit post 1.09 btw).

Man, If I could get a team that was even halfway competent. You'd be amazed how quickly an incompetent team can become competent simply by farming gold and maxing their manifest to get all the N7 weapons at lvl X.

You don't even need the top tier guns, running with the vanilla avenger X with basic mods is good enough if you work together and play well on characters set up properly. Maxing your manifest of weapons is just icing on the cake when you have four good players working well together.
A large part of your damage against big armored things comes from batarian aoe flak cannon on top of stacked debuffs, the bullets you fire aren't really the important bit overall. If you didn't use your abilities no weapon in this game will really carry you alone.
My beef with objectives isn't that they are too hard, it's that their difficulty is inconsistent. Some hack zones SUCK if you don't use a full team plan, others are manageable with only basic team play and individual sensibility.
It's blatantly wrong to me for average teams to only fail on a select number of a select number of a select number of objective waves that are map specific locations for certain objective types. I can almost solo carry a team on most characters though platinum through any number of boss waves, retrievals, almost any devices, and most hacks/uploads, but if I can't pull the rest of the team together and heavily coordinate with precise detail at a specific few locations on specific maps then I will always fail them on map layout alone.
This does not feel fair, fun, or balanced. No single spot on a map should hold the power to end your game beyond your control so thoroughly. I think they need to be moved, removed, or the map itself remodeled, though it does not take very much to fix a lot of these locations.
For example, Firebase magma. The middle hack by the stairs. clip the zone 2-4 meters back into the wall and stairs so the edges of the zone don't overhang the cover down into the lower area, and don't reach out into the hallway, so the whole zone ends up effectively smaller, with it's boundaries inside the cover square and up to the side piece at the top of the stairs so someone can be in the zone from the top of the stairs shooting down, while enemies who hover at the base of the cover no longer block the zone, and can move around the zone without moving into it.
The only objective zone I think needs to outright be removed is that dreadful one in the raised room of zero, as i can't see a way to make the zone something enemies don't jump into no matter where you stand where it is. But at the same time I think adding one at the lower area from the LZ at the bottom of the stairs lining the duck could be fun and interesting.

Yes If you are going into platinum with almost anything besides level X UR weapons, you may as well be taking this.

lol. Me and im sure a few other people play platinum just for the credits because waiting 2 gold games just to open a reserve pack filled with veteran ranks is already painful as it is. Just because you guys have maxed out URs and always run in stacked teams and extract doesnt mean there arent any problems with the hack. For me, I would just like it if they buffed the cobras so they were actually useful and could kill pesky beserkers lurking in the hack zone

We tank hacks all the time. I have a bunch of videos on my channel. This game needs to become harder, if anything, not easier. ... idk, Killa, play plat with random pugs (& not top 20 elite players) then come back and post your times & youtube videos. I'd be very impressed it that case. Right now, not so much. Granted you're a talented young turk solo but elite experience is just that, far away from common to most of us scrubs.

Hurricane X shoots marshmallows at big armor on platinum. Shoots them pretty fast but still marshmallows. Or u can use it with special ammo to prime targets and use a power to proc explosions. Combine that with an infiltrator's sustained fire skill and take a power efficiency mod with you and you have a decent set of tools. The hurricane is a second choice though, i prefer the rozerad for DPS as you say. The strat works for me in platinum. As does having an avenger to cap hacks. Ways and means to get better weapons so we too can speed run with max manifests like the guys in the vid eventually. Not everybody started playing this game at launch remember. I'm sure its easy to complete a Hack with a Dhan lvl X and 3 other team mates with similar DPS. It still doesn't change the fact that hack has been changed for the worse and is badly designed. Bioware should have added a different kind of objective instead to mix things up a bit. Not ruin an established one. FYI i used to solo platinum on ME3 with a Drell Infiltrator who had bugger all health or shields. But then that game was programmed far better and didn't have enemies respawning 2cm behind after you killed them.

All I hear in this thread: "Hey guys, when I play with 3 friends and we all use level 10 urs, we can hold off specific hack locations vs specific enemies. Therefore, the entire rest of the player base should just do what we do instead of complaining."
Are you joking me lol. How about you try playing with randoms? I'm sorry but bioware shouldn't balance the game around the .001% that is you guys. They can make the difficulty harder without having objectives that require cloak. And don't tell me I'm not ready for the difficulty, soloing plat was easy as fuck... as long as I didn't get a hack or upload. Some people are actually talented at this game even though MEA isn't their full time job and they don't have a maxed manifest, and those people deserve a challenge. But impossible hacks aren't a challenge because impossible is impossible; there is nothing one player can do if they're not an infiltrator to beat a hack or upload on platinum.
You should be able use whatever character you want without worrying about auto-fails. Right now for me this game is boring because gold is too easy and I can't play platinum without having to use an infiltrator, which is even more boring.

Meh, one stealth or even one barricade just about makes 90% of hacks doable in pug lobbies. If pugs suck and either can't tank or kite enemies properly don't blame the hack, blame your teammates. If a bad player that doesn't belong in platinum drags a horde into your hack and tries to kill them with his avenger S V, don't blame the game. It is your teammates fault. You won't beat games in 12-15 minutes in most pug lobbies but that is due to deficiencies in your team ( no communication, no planning, synergy and weaker manifests/DPS). In most golds PUGs can tank hacks still. On platinum it should be difficult. It's the hardest setting. It's not supposed to be easy for all pug lobbies. I'd tell you to get good but I know you already are :-P It's a coop game and designed accordingly. It's not meant for soloing or lone wolfing and you can only do that on the hardest setting with stealth anyways. MEAMP requires more teamwork and coop than ME3... I'll admit hiding in a hack for 2 minutes is boring but your teammates need to get good if that is a problem. Even in pug lobbies I play near the hack when a stealth is in it. Because when things get close Ingranntheir attention and pull them away or just kill them...because I don't trust pugs the first game...

How does having a stealth character that puts burden on non stealthed characters equal success against enemies with 1000s of health and armor? Your whole plan with thinking you need a stealth character is the reason your having issues. Its not the game... its you. Why am I not surprised that you were the first to hop on this. Go away, vegasflash.

But the point still stands - we only got the job done in 14 mins because we didn't get any Hack or Upload objectives. We got Delivery/Delivery/Disarm Devices. Had we have gotten a Hack objective im sure we'd have wiped

Right now for me this game is boring because gold is too easy and I can't play platinum without having to use an infiltrator, which is even more boring. Um... you didnt watch the video killa just posted? There was 1 infiltrator....in the entire squad...... this is getting boring... You do no deserve free credits, if you choose to play with randoms on the hardest difficulty setting, accept the mystery meat surprise that comes your way. You can read randoms if you take the time, if there is more than 1 INF and no team debuff characters, dude... your going to lose if you get hack. Yes... you have to plan to have a wave 6 hack in the worst spots and win before you even start the game. Are you really suggesting bioware nuke platinum so people who don't even put on consumables with 300 apex rating and a cyclone II should be able to beat platinum no problemo??? I forget but I think I do remember reading about solo platinum, hmm well infiltrators aren't as great as you guys make them out to be I guess....It really does not make sense you can solo a difficulty but with 3 extra decoys you fail. Hack or not. Yea... I said hack or not, because on bronze hack is the same. Perhaps not so boss pudding, but thats the difference between bronze and platinum. I work 11hours a day and commute for 1, I play MEAMP about under 16hs per week, if that. I had alot of level V URs. You just are unlucky .. idk. But anyway, there is no 0.001%, there are the guys who played and said, "hey.... wait a minute!" and the guys who instantly came here to complain that the biggest payout in the game wasn't reachable by everyone. Again, hacks are more difficult, do I think bioware made a mistake... pfft yea...at the same time, I choose to overcome rather than back into a corner and hide... god I hate infiltrators now....but lets also not pretend that the hardest hacks have never been beaten by a full squad of people who are NOT infiltrators...thats just being unrealistic. But then...you basically are asking for a handout... Perhaps playing as an infiltrator has built that mindset... I mean they do basically nothing but put burden on everyone else and get rewarded for it... omg.....

I thought this was about getting hacks... please correct me if I'm incorrect, but those pictures of success are so confident and bold. Almost jumping off the screen and saying to me "look Ronnie you piece of horseshyt, we beat platinum just fine!" I'm curious though, did you get a wave 6 hack in the worst spot? Oh course you didn't because you would have lost because you squad doesn't have nearly enough debuff or DPS to push off 10,000x HP bosses armor. I don't get it, you clearly see that platinum is still a handout, but you don't like when the hack kicks in and you actually have to work for your handout for once? What is the actuall % of times based on the info we all know (cept me... ) that any player squad will get a hack on wave 6, in the worst spot? If its less than 1/2 (which I even know its far from just based on the fact I play).... then really... your complaining you have to "work" less than half the time you are getting payed to win. .... omfg that sounds so infiltrator mindset.... Perhaps I should use a better word than "work" I'm sure someone will come along claiming the game shouldn't be work, even though they will know since I'm saying it now... Lets replace the word work with "effort" YEAAAAA!

Won't beat platinum in 12-15 mins in a pug lobby eh? And this was my loadout Notably i was using a UR lvl Assault Rifle Rail AMP Booster. That + Turbo Charge was melting enemies like crazy. But the point still stands - we only got the job done in 14 mins because we didn't get any Hack or Upload objectives. We got Delivery/Delivery/Disarm Devices. Had we have gotten a Hack objective im sure we'd have wiped I said in MOST pug lobbies. You are missing an operative word. Sometimes you get good pug objectives and sometimes those come with good pug players. Sometimes not. It's no secret that PUG games take longer on average than party games.

Lets replace the word work with "effort" YEAAAAA! They could have done a W6 hack, just not by tanking it. One cloak and the others kite. Game time would have been 17 minutes if they didn't wipe though. And the huntress is where she belongs. On the bottom. Also, if nade spamming, and only if rank 6 nade spamming, the avenger puts out good DPS. Most people use her in an inferior fashion though.

Game mode is new. People will adjust. But I fully understand the approach to a PUG is more conservative than the approach with a full party. I'll rage gel 5 times during a wave 2 hack if I want because in a party, I know my avenger got me and will get me in the LZ wave 7. I bring the debuffs now in Pugs because 2 teammates usually have stealth. I'll use my gels but if the avenger/stealth doesn't make an effort to revive me, he/she can finish a round and carry or we can wipe. Doesn't bother me. If the team sucks, I'll move on to a new lobby. Not going to be forced to avenger every game in a PUG lobby. Thats not even fun. I'd rather wipe with an asari adept in wave 5 then carry with a cloak every game. You have a team like that and you play PUGs? 😜Seriously this is the wisdom from someone who's been through the process of figuring things out. I'd take the advice that the game mode is indeed new and we can all get better. However I'd like to point out two things. 1) Killa and his team are some top players in the game. When he says it's easy, I'd mark it several noctches down for me and my team. In other words, Bioware certainly didn't and shouldn't design the game only for players like them which is obvious. So when someone who's really good but not in a dream team says they have issues with certain aspect of the game, Bioware should listen. 2) if the game is designed to be playable only when you have something like Hurricane X and equally elite gear, then Bioware has a problem. I agree that having elite weapons and gear help with plat games but they're not a must. I have a Hurricane II and completed plat games with it even with hacking objectives. If everyone waits until they have elite stuff to play plat hacking objective games they're going have to wait for a long, long time.

Perhaps I should use a better word than "work" I'm sure someone will come along claiming the game shouldn't be work, even though they will know since I'm saying it now... Lets replace the word work with "effort" YEAAAAA! First you say i shouldn't be playing platinum without maxed N7 DPS weapons and a debuff class character. So i do it with a Soldier class who has high DPS to compensate for average weapons. Platinum completed full extraction (in pugs). You also say i shouldn't be relying on infiltrator/stealth grid classes for hack missions. So i complete hack missions on platinum with those exact classes and collect more credits to help me max my manifest. Again full extraction. I make do with the tools i have and i do it well. So i don't see why ur telling me platinum isn't for me. It can be done without a maxed manifest. So yeah u are talking horse shit and being discouraging for no good reason. My point still stands though - hacks in their current state are not fun or challenging. They're boring and broken since most people (those who do not have maxed manifests) have to follow a certain stealth formula to win. It's safer to take a stealth grid character in pubs just to make certain the hack missions can be won. But should we have to do it every time until our manifests are maxed?

And chances are (just like with ME3 multiplayer) that people will simply stop playing MP as soon as their manifests are maxed because they'll feel like they've 'completed the game' with nothing left to unlock. They'll do a few victory laps with their best high ranking weapons for fun then get bored of horde mode and go back to story mode to try new dialogue paths etc.

I think, you know whats going on here....but you keep bring up infiltrators like they are a positive thing in almost any light in MEAMP... What confuses me is that your saying its safe....as if that is the only means of winning, even with pugs. But people just put in your face that it can be done without relying on infiltrators. But you come here, when your infiltrator plan falls apart because a small, very small % of the time you have to take a hit. Dude, it didn't matter if he was on an "elite" team or not (there are no elites in MEAMP, you guys/gals REALLY need to stop pedestaling people) his squad is using the best of what bioware gave us to win. Do you really not see people playing as an infiltrator IS THE REASON YOU ARE LOSING?? If 2 people are cloaked, who do you think the enemies are going to attack? The 2 not cloaked. Even if everyone is an infiltrator, at some point someone is going to lose cloak and get raped like a subordinate male giraffe. You have no means of taking down 1 boss fast enough to be successfull, you have PLENTY OF INFINITE BOSSES IN PLATINUM... dude, you have to be able to see this, or like you accused me, just trolling... Who the fuck cares about safe if you LOSE... You think hack sucks because your strategy is infiltrator based, yet infiltrators clearly are not built 100% solid for the issue you are having, so you toss shyt at bioware? Ok I hear you again, hacks are crap on platinum, I know this, you know this, everyone knows this. Dude... please, no, no no... you have to put in effort "some" time...This is the only "fun" or should I say challenging part of the game, and you guys are begging to have it watered down to gold+1. If hacks aren't in platinum, it would literally just be "here, have 130K." Dude, bioware is making mistakes for sure, but this isn't one of them.
