I really don't like Dragon's Dogma I still have yet to play that game despite having it on steam for a little over a year now.

Game of Thrones is pretty overrated tbh. First 4 seasons were good but 5 and 6 were patchy af. There were parts that were totally idiotic and laughable. They also delayed season 7 to like July and it'll only have 7 episodes. The hype is not real.

The problem with the show is that it surpassed the books and the shows writers don't have enough of GRRM's writing to go by, they only have ideas of where he intends to go. Last season should've followed Winds of Winter, but that book hasn't come out yet, and the season before that was supposed to be from A Dance With Dragons, but again there was a bit of a lag with that one because GRRM was having a problem with Dany's story. I'm looking foward to next season because *fingers crossed* I'm hoping Arya will be reunited with Nymeria her direwolf.

Probably shoulda waited till the author was done with the books before making the show cuz the people writing the show are not doing a good job with just ideas to go by. I did really like some eps from 5 and 6 but I don't think they make up for all the other crap. Then again the author hasn't released a new book in like 6 years so the end of the show might be all people get lol

There are only supposed to be two more books the the present storyline anyway, so just 2 more seasons...but I think he may be working on a prequal...I have checked up on it in awhile. But I agree that the material done by GRRM was a lot better than the later seasons...but they have done a good job considering the circumstances.

S6 ended up with my Queen reigning supreme, so it was the best season by far.

At this point I don't think GRRM even gives enough of a damn to finish the books. He'll just let HBO finish the story and cash in the check.

Game of Thrones is pretty overrated tbh. First 4 seasons were good but 5 and 6 were patchy af. There were parts that were totally idiotic and laughable. They also delayed season 7 to like July and it'll only have 7 episodes. The hype is not real. I basically gave up on it. It started being very stale and lost its touch with Season 4. I felt like it was going somewhere before that. There's this thing with stories that when you remove a constant (and every story has constants, like Reapers in Mass Effect) it's the end of the story because the conflict is resolved. That constant ultimately would be White Walkers for GoT, but nobody feels attatched to White Walkers or care emotionally. We care about our characters and their rivalries and friendships, and to me Joffery had that sense of being a constant. As long as he was around there was a constant that I could point my finger at and say "god, I hate that guy, I hope he's taught a lesson or killed someday."
When Joffery dies, pretty suddenly (and for shock-effect) of poisoning at the wedding party, the ramifcations were that following that episode I just started to sink in just how many characters were now gone and the few that were left, Jon, Tyrion, maybe Greyjoy, maybe Baelish were characters I could care about and with only those 4 left or maybe only 3 of them really, it was starting to lose its magic. Tyrion needs his daddy to have an interesting conflict, Jaime needs Cersei, AND his dad IMO, and their son IMO. That goes all across the board. The more you lose in the story the thinner the emotional resonance to the remainder of it becomes, and perhaps if the show did anything to show awareness of this factor it could've been brilliant but it doesn't do that. It keeps on building up to a dramatic and sometimes even just contrived and farcical culmination (like Season 6 episode 10) that then removes something from the story rather than resolving it. If there was a point or a message about the show I think I realized it halfway into season 4 and it's been stagnating ever since. The only surprise that may remain is what will actually happen once the White Walkers invade Westeros completely and what will actually happen them. I told my friend I think the ending is going to be that they invade and everyone dies because we're too busy making our game of thrones roundabout until half the cast is dead and the next generation takes over the race. The show is basically about the cycle of society the way I see it and the White Walkers are just the typical omniprescent force that symbolically ends the conflict. They're the driving force of everything, a macguffin, else and when they invade and kill everyone or get defeated the show is over.

The big problem I have with the show now is how rushed things are. Characters are exactly where they need to be and events are happening exactly when they need to with no buildup. There's also a lot of plot required stupidity and examples of the show people writing themselves into corners and clumsily writing their way out of them, like with Rickon showing up just to be killed because they didn't seem to know a better way to deal with that loose plot thread. I could talk about this some more but I don't wanna clutter up the thread with GOT trash talk haha.

Jamican Patois sounds dumb. I get that it's supposed to be a separate thing from standard English with its own special syntax and conventions, but it still just sounds like drunk, bastardized English--especially when used in pop songs to add a reggae flair.

I hope you're right but it seems like Winds of Winter *should* have released a dozen times by now and as the show gets more and more ahead of the books it's concerning. The thing is, he may have completely differnt things planned for the story, the show is it's own entity right now and he may be waiting so he can say...ok, you've seen the show, but THIS is what REALLY happens. And only the book readers will know for sure. I'm just wondering if plans for the prequel will go through...I kinda feel sorry for the guy, really, he seems to have so many projects going on, I'm sure it gets hactic at times. The fans should realize writting isn't just a matter of putting words to paper, a writer has to be able to find time to concentrate. ..Either way, I hope he sticks to, if not, it would be understandable...disappointing...but understandable.

I dont really understand the point of the Nintendo switch... its $300, the games are like just as expensive as the ones on the PS4 I think but... it doesnt seem to do anything... to me, if you want to play the newest and best games you buy a console or a pc... if you want to have a handheld device you buy something like the DS... the Switch seems to have the price tag of one of the more expensive and better consoles but doesnt have the features... I really dont understand what the target audience is... surely its too expensive for a casual gamer and too... I dont know, not really so powerful for the people more interested??? I think they would do better instead of making things like the Wii U and the Nintendo switch to actually make a console... they have some good ideas I think and I love my DS, the games are really cute... but I dont think theyre making the right kind of things if that makes sense
