^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Watch The Blackfish documentary on netflix...next thing you will say is They killed like 19 of their trainers.....seriously, killer whales are the biggest assholes on the planet. Seriously dude? You think killer whales are the problem? So you see killer whales hunt a baby humpback, fine that's sad...but how many humpbacks do people slaughter every year? Through over fishing and polution? And they aren't even ecologically prudent with their kills and waste much of what they catch...and their trainers? Their trainers know the risks involved in their jobs and many of them would choose what they do over anything. I'm betting the trainers who died would be the first to rebuke your statements.  |

I agree about woody allen, i agree about the hobbit but i thought they did a great job with lotr to be honest, only major flaw for me was leaving tom bombadil out. |

Fuck killer whales.... could we please make these fucking asshole fish extinct?..they actually deserve it..It sickened me that I witnessed these asshole fuckers, learned the humpback whales migratory patterns and waited for them to piggyback their newborn calves to have them team up in 12 whales...to seperate mom from her calf then drown her baby then eat it......I have watched all of the documentaries , I have seen all of the facts layed out.........( Seriously, watch The Blue Planet on netflix, then watch the Blackfish movie....) ...fuck them...they deserve do be extinct. These mother fuckers do nothing but kill the whales that deserve to be in the ocean. You can't trust a killer whale! They can pop a seal like a tic tac! |

Trying to find the passages (rifling through TGH TDR and TSR) but i remember she was being chastised for channelling too much on Saidar, and told of it's consequence. I think i was the little old brown ajah aes sedai Verin who was working with Siuan, ane Moiraine who said it.
Book 7? They missed too much. The Great Hunt especially it's finale is a must read, while book one details Padan Fain's origins, transformation, and obsession. |

If that's confusing a member is currently reading the books and is only starting book 7. Did Wheel of Time get any better after Lord of Chaos? I tried twice to read it and only got mid way through. After going through the final battle scenes with the other 5 books and just found them to basically be the same scene, just a different enemy, I just gave up on the series. I just got tired of reading about shadows in the clouds...or something like that. |

Books 7 & 8 were a struggle. 9 was ok, but ended fantastic. 10...ugh. 11-14 were varying degrees of good to very good. Overall, I was happy with how it wrapped up.
Jordan definitely loved his descriptive prose...

Also skimming through the books, Jordan should have never did the triple marriage thing with Rand, Elayne, Min and Avi. It felt tacked on, and added nothing of value to the narrative, while all his relationships in the love quartet barring Min's lacked depth. |

OK...I'm pretty sure this scene came from those Wheel of Time books...two of the 'heros managed to drag some theif/assassin off the streets (or whatever) to get information from him...the guy was being difficult about it so as a coercive ploy one hero turns to the other and says something like, 'bring me a basket, some rats, reeds and some salt..?' and the theif guy starts screaming, 'Not the salt, not the salt!' and then he spills his guts. I think they release him and then one hero turns to the other and asks what he was gonna do with all that, and the other guy says, 'I don't know, I just let his imagination fill in the details.' I t went something like that, and I THINK it was from those books...does anyone know?
and just to keep with topic- I would quite happily spend the rest of my life wearing sweat pants and t-shirts, I hate fashion and I see no need for anyfoot wear that isn't runners/sneakers.
