Unpopular opinion: High heeled shoes are not sexy. All they do is fuck up women's feet and make them walk funny. Which can be amusing but not attractive. Oh yes they are Counter argument: I think high heels are sexy. Admittedly I don't wear them daily but I do love to wear them on an evening out or more privately. It's just the symbolism in itself which makes it feminine to me and I love that So I completely agree with you here Gen

Oh and some opinions from me: I think this thread title should be changed to the "Opinions Thread", since a lot of people including myself simply gives their opinions rather than it being unpopular opinions And I think it's hilariously ridiculous when they in movies talk for an hour after being struck down by their opponent. If I get the smallest little paper cut, I cuss the nearest person who tries to talk to me that moment, I can't even imagine having a GIGANTIC sword through me and what that would feel like... the pain... and then in that final moment, when I only have a few moments to live, why oh why spend it on telling a whole story about how well that opponent fought and how well he killed me? Lol. I would instead be cussing his ass and thinking of my family and the sort

Also Maybe unpopular opinion: Battleship was a good movie. That being said, the part with the old people kinda made me cringe. If that part hadnt been in or severely toned down it would have been much better. Not really an opinion but an unpopular thing: ive never seen an Alien movie... although I did see a little bit of Alien vs Predator but it was scary and I didnt like it much

If you have a cat there is a high likelihood of having a brain parasite. Ohhhhh I read about that somewhere cats carry parasites that make you like cats or something right??? Its meant for mice to like cats but it works on humans also but I dont own a pet so yay no parasites for me Taxoplasmosis, it's a parasite that thrives in the intestines of a cat, but since it's in the intestines it gets pooped out. It is then transferred to anything that incorrectly deals with said poop. When it has infected a creature it decreases their ability to feel fear, while also increasing their risk taking behavior.

Heard about it, I totally have it. I've constantly been around cats since the age of 4 so there is no way I have not come in contact with it yet. Cats lick their butt, then lick their fur. I touch the fur, forget to wash my hands, eat a cookie and BAM - game over. The feeling of fear is rather irrelevant anyway if you possess the ability to think logical. Your brain should be responsible to identify possible dangers and calculate the risks, not a feeling. Fear is the fastest route to defeat. As far as I'm cornered its a symbiosis for me, not a parasite.

There is a reason you're afraid of fire (not talking about a torch or bonfire here). Fear often keeps you from doing dumb shit. Yes, there is such a thing as irrational fear. And yes, that fear can and should be countered with logic. But a lot of times fear is entire rational and it's a mechanism that keeps you alive and keeps you from getting hurt.

Watson taught us anything (besides how to be an extreme dick to kids) it was how to program phobias. You do not need any emotions making rather inaccurate, irrational and often even harmful suggestions what and what not to do if you possess the mental capacity to form acucrate logical conclusions to gauge possible dangers to your physical (and mental) well-being. That ancient part of our brain did its job to ensure our survival back when our brains weren't developed enough to make fast conclusions based on logics. But now logic rules over all and emotions become more outdated with each passing day.

I don't like family photos and never hang them up in my house. Whoa buddy! (It's supposedly a rule for interior designers that personal photos shouldn't dominate the decor, but personally, I LOVE photographs of my family and as someone who has always lived a continent away or multiple states away from my kin, it means a lot to me) My sister is constantly bring me family photos nicely framed and such they they usually go on the book shelf as soon as she leaves. It's not that I don't like the people in the photos but I just don't like them all over the walls.......watching.....judging....

That ancient part of our brain did its job to ensure our survival back when our brains weren't developed enough to make fast conclusions based on logics. But now logic rules over all and emotions become more outdated with each passing day. There are many parts of our lives we would find completely worthless without our emotional investments. Children, spouses, houses, and a whole host of things. It is not logical to have children for example. Many would argue "but it's to further your genes, to be part of the future" etc etc. But if you were being simply logical you would know that there is no point in furthering your own genes. Since your own genes are having their way with YOU, you might as well just cut your losses and enjoy as much of anything you can given you are only driven by logic before you expire. You would also either have zero sex drive or probably get rid of it. Sex drive has no part in logic. It is at cross purposes with logic. So make use eunuchs while you're at it. One could say, but we need sex, it helps us bond, it helps us reproduce etc etc, it helps with prostate health and reproduction helps with anti cancer prevention in women, but no sex is useless. You could go on and on but I personally think you would find our bodies are very much absolutely NOT oriented toward "logic". The very processes of our bodies that we nurture to move forward are our doom. It's just being human.

Completely punched through the vest, popped through me and came out near my belly botton...again through the vest. I was vomiting, spitting and couldn't do much besides just groan and curse. Though I do admit that having blood come out of your mouth in thin gouts isn't as fun as the movies make it out to be, they leave out how it completely dries out your throat and just makes everything taste and smell coppery. I slipped into and out of conscience maybe four times in the space of about fifteen minutes. Fun times in the life of Warder Z believe me. The best bit was? I actually tried to be a bad ass and scream at the bastard who shot me and all I did was hack up more blood after about two syllables. I like to imagine that I later went on to kill that son of a bitch when I came back to Ramadi months later...but that's the sequel I suppose.

I took a graze to the left shin, and I have an abdomen with a few tiny scars from shrapnel that was redirected from another surface. Nothing major or close to your level, and I didn't get a purple heart for either (which is fine with me). My unit has the request record filled out by the Company Commander still, though I asked them not to submit it.

The very processes of our bodies that we nurture to move forward are our doom. I know and I agree with you. I deliberately made my post a little edgy, hence my smiley. In all seriousness though, emotions aren't generally bad of course but there are a lot of situations where feelings should not have any say. Society would greatly benefit in a lot of ways if emotions played less of a role in important decisions, a lot of terrible stuff and drama is or was caused by people making important decision based on their feelings instead of their logics. Emotions should have their place in fun stuff, relaxing, past time activities, enjoying what you love to do, relationships - but in important and dangerous situations feelings should be given a very low priority.
