I tend to not like vegetarians as if I know you are vegetarian it usually is because you've preached to me about it at some point. My little sister and mother are that way, I try not to engage into arguments about it, but it is bothersome when someone is coming to you, "you should get this out of your diet and replace it with this".
I taste things if offered, but I will not waste my own money on it. Good meat equals enjoyment to me and certain level of luxury. I do not preach you about what you do with your life unless it directly affects me, I expect not to be preached at by anyone that way either. Whenever someone tries to make me watch a video of some crappy slaughterhouse or to guilt trip me into switching my diet, you become my "enemy". You are purposefully trying to take away one of the key pleasures in my life that is good, delicious and meaty food.
You've made your choice, I am happy for you. Let me have mine. /HalfSeriousRantEnds

Fortunately for me my husband has zero preaching in his bones and was so low key about it that when we went over to our friends houses they would declare "OH MRS ANOMALY WE MADE YOU ALL THE VEGETARIAN FOOOOOD!" and then I'd lol and say "oh I'm sorry, but HE is the vegetarian, not me". Everyone assumed because I was lithe and had a pixie hair cut and idk, lived in Austin, I was some kind of vegetarian. Nope.

US Southern accents annoy me. It is like nails on chalkboard. Ditto with a lot of obnoxious northern accents from the US Not all, and sometimes, one person has whichever accent and it sounds NICCEEEE- then someone else makes me want to cover my ears.

It looks like I stirred up a hornet's nest. I especially find women with Southern accents to be annoying.

While I am at it (because why not continue to dig my own grave), I do not really like fried food, do not wear denim/jeans, find country music depressing/annoying, hate the heat, do not like football anymore (hockey for me), and I am an atheist.

I think personal space is very important, only after having dealt with numerous cultures and people during my studies have I learned how unpopular the way my countrymen handle it is around the world. Here you can even get punched if you get too close after getting warned once or twice. I still don't understand how some have problems with it if they come to the country though. Would think travelers would have enough respect for the way things are done in the country you travel to.

I was a veggie for 12 years and even now that I do eat meat again, it is at absolute most once a week and is usually chicken. Anything more any my guts really don't like me, I don't know how the meat every day people manage it. I'm guessing cast iron intestines. While on the subject of unpopular food opinion - Tofu is horrible, yes I know how to cook it, but I am not putting that shit in my mouth. My partner on the other hand loves it. He is weirdo and can't be trusted. I'm also a chicken once a week guy.

I have actually found faith in books again. Books can remain intact and readable for hundreds of years if treated carefully.
Good luck keeping your E-Books from vanishing when your hard drives die after 10 years! Even internet servers can die or destroyed by viruses. So don't put much hope on the internet too!

Think it has for some reason become a big deal here, it's something that people do instinctively. Not everyone, but most. We like our personal space and aren't good at small talk. I also think small talk is bullshit. I was told last week by a Canadian, that if someone who's not a Finn asks "How are you?", you are supposed to answer that you are fine. Not tell them how you really are. Which in my eyes makes the whole question pointless. "It's just good manners" how is it good manners to ask how someone is if you don't truly wish to know. Boggles my mind.

And I'm not even that fluent in the second one.

Soccer and their fanatic idiot fans suck. Good thing I'm relatively anonymous here in the Internet, if I told that people on the street they would slay me and hang me on the next tree. People are really into soccer around here, not liking that sport is nearly considered an insult - and thats not an over exaggeration.

Boggles my mind. Canada evidently took their social etiquette (and taboos) from the UK. In the UK, asking "How are you?" is done out of a sense of politeness, rather than wanting to actually know. Most people feel rather uncomfortable disclosing their problems, because it feels like we're imposing onto the listener, so we instead pretend everything is perfectly fine. Responding with "I'm fine, thanks" in the UK can mean anything from "I'm genuinely alright" to "I'm ten seconds away from having a total nervous breakdown, there is a tarantula crawling up my shirt and I think my leg is on fire... can someone please help me!" Brits haven't got a "stiff upper lip" because we remain reserved in the face of adversity... it's mostly because we're too socially awkward and embarrassed to ask for help, so we end up resigned to suffer through it silently in state of quiet despair.

I've never felt I was "supposed to" answer a "how are you" a certain way. I just figured "fine" is the default we all go to because no one gives a shit. Anything else and I'd fully expect something like this:
Person 1: How are you? Person 2: My underwear is full of ants and also on fire. Person 1: Uh huh, same here.... wait, what?
Personally, more often than not I don't even answer because my go-to generic greeting (read: thing I say to people to acknowledge their existence) is "how's it going" or "hey how're you doing?" or some variation thereof. So if I say that in response to "how are you?" I haven't technically answered anything. But no one bats an eye because no one cares. You can probably just mumble nonsense in response and as long as you're subtle about it, no one will pick up on it.
Now for a relevant oldie but goldie:

Maybe it's a Commonwealth thing. In Australia, someone could be on fire and getting attacked by a snake but if you ask them how they're doing then the answer is always going to be, "Good. And yourself?"
