It was chopping on Ultra settings so I lowered it one click and now it's grainy as all heck. Tips? My laptop got REALLY hot on ultra settings, so I ended up having to lower them. I left anti-aliasing at the highest level, but lowered the mesh quality and some of the textures to bring down internal temps while still providing a decent picture. I tried lowering anti-aliasing at first, and that caused all kinds of graininess and jagged lines. So, go back into your settings and raise AA again, and maybe lower something else a bit more to compensate. oh man, that was a good chuckle. Wanted to see if I could jump on the Tempest. Ya can. And KAllo doesn't like it. I did that right away too! I was amused by the response One of my favorite things to do at Skyhold is jump around on the rooftops, so I appreciated be able to walk on top of my ship, too. This Vault is...Glisteny.Seeing those pyramids in the distance...reminds me of Descent. LOL Peebee. Not a symbol of authority since they didn't shoot at you. You may just be the right level of ridiculous for me. Am I the only one that fell 20 times into the below? ya? probably. Speaking of random gaps between pillars, why would they build this building this way @_@ oh shit! Come on... What the heck was all that for? (dangerous gas explosion) Oh. Peebee isn't optional? Weird. Why even bother asking to join then? OUtpost: For Science! Cuz our army has gotta eat. Ouch. I think I actually hurt Addison's feelings. I told her she was being manipulative too. She said, "I know what I came here to be." Sounded so...sad. I'm done for the night. Random question: Is scanning planets useful at all? Impression of the day: Definitely not as awful as I thought. Feeling a bit sheepish that I hated it so much when I first played it o-o Random gaps between pillars could have been made less annoying by the presence of autosave quicksave, but no I fell into the endless deep in probably every vault. Don't feel sheepish. You weren't hating it before for the sake of hating it. You just...genuinely hated it You're allowed to change your mind. I did several times over the course of my PT.

Picture post! Interesting perspective of the Tempest leaving the Nexus. IT's a Citadel clone. Fixed make up and clothes:Beautiful-- but let's be honest here. They wouldn't let the view screen/window get bright enough to make you want to protect your eyes in a high tech space ship like the Tempest. Prettiest Desert Scape I've witnessed yet. Ya, guys. A Krogan did just throw a dead lizard dog in our general direction. Maybe fart at him back? how come she gets the cool bouncy skipping female walk? Trusting ancient alien technology we already know is in need of repair. Weeeee! DAI Descent DLC meets Tron down here. Hero meets Deer in Headlights: Does Ryder really need to keep "holding the button"? I kid I kid. I liked this scene. Sparkle Sparkle Cool ships flying down moment Meeting the Mayor. Considering he wouldn't even walk the streets until I cleaned them up, I'm not impressed. Leaving Addison Hanging And I still feel like a dick the next day about it :/

She deserves it. I enjoyed the first 7 hours or so of the game enough to buy it, then had to make myself finish once I'd gotten a few hours past that first vault. It'll be interesting to see whether your opinions change as you play. I'm mildly amused that we used the same Ryder preset. I gave mine fire-colored ombre hair once the Black Emporium appeared on the ship, though.

dragontartareI was all prepped to finally make my green eyed red haired Ryder...and then saw, that even with all the updates, they still only had one shade of red. Also, the face I'd used the first time didnt seem to be there... After finding that out and found the CC just way more annoying than DAI in general for control... I just threw my hands up after a few tweaks (and making my twin matched) then jumped in. Well, if you liked your first 7 hours, I hated them my first attempt. and or course, we got different tastes in LIs. You're just a Turian girl, you can't get away from it.

I'm exploring the new outpost. Found a data pad. Turns out it's a letter from Vetra to the guy standing there. Considering she's in my party, it felt a bit awkward. Then I read the final line. "And Ryder, I know you're going to get nosy and read this. Hi."

Doesn't this make money useless?

You can also buy consummables (e.g. disruptor, incendiary, and cryo ammo, shield capacitors, Cobra RPGs). You will find a certain number of them, but if you tend to use them a lot, you may need to purchase. Cobra RPGs are really powerful, but very expensive.

Can't I just make weapons the way domi/jade said with Missions from the Turian anyway? Doesn't this make money useless? One thing I didn't realize at first is that dismantling low-level weapons from drops can get you raw materials and is way more worth it than selling the weapon later. I did not want for gold in this game, but I did need certain metals that were hard to find in order to craft the sniper rifle I wanted to use. There is a compare button in the shop window, if I remember correctly. You have to click it several times to choose the weapon you want to compare to. I couldn't figure out how to compare armors, though. I feel like DAI's inventory and shop screens were more intuitive than this one.

HAhaha, Liam keeps randomly jumping on walls. He's weird. Time to switch him out for Drack. Argh, what was the point of signing up for the Sara name if everyone was going to call me Ryder and PAthfinder anyway? I think Lexi is the only one to have called me Sara so far. I don't even refer to myself as Sara. Suvi should help this Abrams researcher with the dirt. They got stuff in common. At least people hold things way better. Haha this guy sounds like...George Takei This guy, Bell-Scott seems like he's...ticking from a meth withdrawal. WTF, Ramirez. Who gave you permission to randomly scan me? I work in the medical field, that's not kosher. But you get some points back for screwing with your boss.

Money isn't useless. I buy ship models (only 6, the rest you have to find), Nomad upgrades, Cobra RPGs (handheld rockets), and materials if I want to craft something and I'm short early in the game. There is also a quest later on to buy stuff for each outpost. Sell your salvage, but if you want to craft weapons and armor, break down your excess/duplicates instead of selling them. You can only sell or destroy weapon mods, so I sell my duplicates and lower level ones once I start getting better ones.
Item levels you can craft, find, or buy are limited by your char level. The breakdown is something like:
Char lvl Item lvl
1-5 I 6-10 II 11-20 III 21-30 IV 31-40 V 41-50 VI 51-60 VII 61-70 VIII 71-80 IX 81+ X
Next level schematics unlock when you reach the even numbers (20, 30, etc.) but drops and buys don't start until you get to 21, 31, etc.
Playing on casual, you can probably stick to stuff you find if you don't want to bother with crafting. It can be a bit overwhelming in your first game since there are so many options.

I ended stockpiling cobra rpgs to the point where I had plenty of them. You know the solution for any consumables stockpiling, don't you? - Use them up. Use them all up. phoray - I forgot to mention, you will also be able to buy weapon and ammo mods from some of the vendors (not all of them though). Between consumables and some particular mods, I really haven't spent money on much. If you are doing R&D and not mining very much, you will probably spend a lot of coin on minerals; but if you're not going to craft weapons and armor, you won't need the minerals really at all. There are some R&D "teaching quests" in the game, so I'm sure you will eventually learn how to do it.

The sort of people who would want an army of robots to work for them and make them live like kings...would not have the psychological profile to go to sleep 600 years so they could rough it on a new planet in another galaxy. I like Bradley. He was a good choice for mayor. But there is this underlying... Nexus hate/suspicion thread narrative. Makes me wonder about those exiles. Although, could have passed on the conversation about how my dad being dead wasn't special- "just recent." Do you have to research weapons in order? 1, 2, 3? Okay, the First Eos Outpost has been formally assessed by the Pathfinder and Bradley has not so subtley told me to go find somethign else to do. To the NExus! For more talking!

Yes, you can't make a level 3 something or other without first researching level 1 and level 2 schematics for it.
I've always felt that Bradley is an underrated character. He's more compentent than the "leaders" at the Nexus.
I wonder how far down the line of succession he was?
One thing I like about Nexus leadership that I can't say about the Council - they don't have their heads in the sand denying that Andromeda is a shitstorm from the get go. They butt heads over how to go about fixing things, but at least they admit that things need to be fixed!

There is a bearded woman near the Tempest stumbling around appearing to be drunk. This can't be good o-o but she's not clickable. Why can't I just be on the Tempest adn NOT leave the planet? weird o-o Strike Team Missions: I see they learned nothing from the "complete war table missions instantly" mod. Why would LExi ask me to look out fo rDrack? o-o um...sure? I think it's kinda funny. Cora is more angry about her replacement father figure dying than Ryder is. Cora EMAILS you about Asari crap too? But it's neat, that the emails seem to acknowledge she wasn't on the mission with us...now I feel guilty for that too.

Okay, the First Eos Outpost has been formally assessed by the Pathfinder and Bradley has not so subtley told me to go find somethign else to do. To the NExus! For more talking! You have to research the blueprints in order starting with 1 for each, but you don't have to develop every blueprint you research and you are give some blueprints automatically. For example, you can develop a Carnifex at any level you've hit, so if you're leveled up enough to use a Carnifex V, it could be the first Carnifex you develop. If, however, you want a Valiant V SR, you have to research blueprints for 1 through 5 first, but you wouldn't necessarily have to develop I through IV at all. Hope that makes some sense. The big advantage of developing a weapon, rather than just buying for finding it, is that you can add augments (e.g. a vintage heat sink - which turns the weapon into an ME1 type with an unlimited thermal clip just with a cool down period after every so many shots fired... or you can add something like a Kinetic Coil augment that just ups the damage beyond what the weapon normally deals out).

Ryder's reply to Vetra. "Wouldn't be an adventure it'd just be moving. Bleh! Everyone hates the moving." I like all the little conversations the companions are having amongst themselves. Because of radio, even Suvi can join in on a conversation in the bay. Wow. Gil's speech about what happened on the Nexus. He's a feeler. *walks into the engine room* Where's my calibrations guy? *laughs a little. Then realizes it's Gil* oh.

Cool- The Turian checking in two folks. I feel...all proud about making the outpost all over again. Wow, there are like 4 rounds of check ins. Whoa... the kind of outpost changes who gets woke up?!
Ugh. Okay. So there is... A news terminal. A terminal for email. An inter "office" email. and Lexi. And the journal. Any other sources of Current Events I need to keep track of?
I'm ready for some action. It's been a quiet couple of hours checking in with people and assessing outposts.
