Please avoid using childish words. It's not stealing resources but allocating them differently to focus on the priorities management decided to follow. Dude, I really don't care whatever pedantry you want to attach to this to say whatever it is you want to say. I can only clarify what my original post was, and that it wasn't anything to do with suggesting that Anthem was prioritised over ME. Anthem only even got mentioned to indicate that at some stage, EA need to shift their existing projects as they don't have the room to develop more than a certain number of projects simultaneously, and that development includes DLC. If you want to argue and complain then do so, but don't twist my words into supporting it. I'm not twisting your words I only brought them (your reasoning) to the logical consequence. It seems you don't realize the implications of your words.

I fail to see how this move equates to no dlc. It's not like BioWare has said anything that supports that claim. It doesn't. It's merely an interesting development that would explain the core of Jason's article in more realistic and less sensational terms. If another Bioware studio is working on MEA DLC then this development wouldn't even be relevant, let alone equating to anything.

You haven't even understood 'my words' so far (I've had to clarify them twice to you), so please don't lecture me on what their implications are. On the off-chance you're genuinely confused, the only role Anthem (and BF2) play in all this is simply being the next project up after MEA that need the development effort that would have been released by MEA's completion. The suggestion that Anthem interfered with MEA's development or represented a sacrifice of one IP over another purely by virtue of coming after MEA is absurd.

To be honest, I don't consider IGN too trustworthy. Some of it is resentment of them and other major gaming sites when I was part of Gamergate. I never got into the whole "gamergate", didn't even know about it till long after it was done being a thing. IGN's news reporting has always seemed pretty decent to me. At least I can't think of any major faux-pas they have been mixed up in. Yeah IGN are pretty good they had nothing but praise for the trilogy during the time Bioware were working on that so they're not against Bioware or Mass Effect I don't think. As I was watching vids of their reviews of the trilogy again recently and I noticed that each and every one got pretty high scores even the DLC scored well. They gave pretty high scores to DAI as well. I don't want to admit that MEA is dead but unfortunately it's starting to look more and more like it is.

Literally the only site that claims to have any actual confirmation of this is a site that cultivated an audience pandering to the #GamerGate crowd—you know, that group of people who made up complete lies about a woman who worked on the game to incite misogynistic abuse and death threats towards her? Not a single outlet with any veneer of credibility has reported this. Not even Schreier, and you know he'd take pride at twisting whatever crap he could into an excuse for trolls to harass and threaten BioWare staff. And frankly, doesn't this seem familiar? A blatant and shameless hoax perpetrated by people obviously trying to incite abuse towards BioWare is disproven soon after it emerges...but then one single journalist declares that he has confirmation, confirmation that no one else has gotten but they're perfectly happy to run their own hit-pieces off of the original "someone said so" article. So yeah, this is bullshit. It's obvious bullshit, and it's coming from a site filled with people who take pride in pumping out biased bullshit. Anyone who falls for it is pathetic, but nowhere near as sad and vile as the people making up this bullshit. When I see the source TechRaptor, I think, "Nope. These guys aren't to be trusted at all." I am sorry you feel that way, but believe me when I say the source is accurate and not made up.

So?
Honestly, what does this have to do with Andromeda DLC? Nothing, but speculation. My speculation is hotter than Texas Sun and I fully expect DLC. I don't see rainbows, unicorns or butterflies either. All I see is that I'm transported to the realm of Dark Sun and I'm about to unleash some psionic powers on the next dude that parks his overly expensive F350 in a spot for trailers.

Leave him/her to a professional it's out of our league. Indeed I want to see DLC for the game as I really like it. So he can't claim I don't. Heck I've done 4 playthroughs of the game and have another 2 planned. I've just gone back t othe trliogy for now as I felt like doing another run of that. It's more that this move seems to be happening around the time where DLC is normally announced which to me sounds suspicious in that it might indicate there won't be any. At least they managed to get the game into a playable state now so at least they achieved that.

I guess the future of MEA is still up in the air.
Still, I doubt EA plans to abandon Mass Effect in the long run. It remains a valuable IP.

Yeah me too I've been trying to defend MEA in my own way as well as I respect the work they've done and it's a fine game. Granted it's not Bioware's finest but I've played worse games and enjoyed them. I was and still am hoping for more but it's just starting to look to me that it's getting less and less likely now. It dosen't mean I won't be coming back to it from time to time as I will I enjoy the game too much not to. There are other games coming out that have my interest so it's looking like I'll be moving more onto them for the time being. If DLC does appear I'll definitely be on it and support it but right now it's looking unlikely is all.

Just a follow up as I thought about this more.
If DLC's are canned, not because of reception it got from critics and some people, but because of EA's streamlining the company, I... I really don't know what to think nor feel about then.

So, now EA Motive is working on ME:A's MP? With Motive releasing SW:BF2 this fall I doubt they could work on ME:A DLC. Development could've been moved to a different office, though.

So, now EA Motive is working on ME:A's MP? Who knows? I guess it could be one of their "multiple projects"... Just a follow up as I thought about this more. If DLC's are canned, not because of reception it got from critics and some people, but because of EA's streamlining the company, I... I really don't know what to think nor feel about then. Since this move must have been planned in advance of the release, that would mean EA never planned to release dlc. I can't see that being the case, otherwise we'd know by know. The way I see it, there are 3 possibilities: -DLC is in development at either Motive or Bioware, and they'll announce it "soon", -EA cancelled dlc plans after release for whatever reason, -EA still haven't decided either way, which I think is unlikely. I'm certain the plan before March 21st was to release dlc. It could have been pushed back by the patching and personnel movement, or it could be dead...

It could have been pushed back by the patching and personnel movement, or it could be dead... Honestly, I think this is the most likely. They put out a second trial of the game for a reason. They're re-circulating the survey for a reason, with the question of how likely would you be to recommend the game to a friend or family member? They're doing the whole giveaway with GeForce. They're re-marketing the game after the patches, and they're going to see if the game's perception has changed. They're obviously gathering data, and I doubt they'll just throw out DLC after they've barely begun. If they thought the market was there for it they wouldn't be doing all this. If they had already made up their mind to scrap it, they wouldn't be doing all of this stuff.

I really don't know what to think nor feel about then. Yeah I'm not too sure what to feel either atm as I can see good points to both releasing DLC and not releasing it. By not releasing any they get to move onto another project quicker and spend more time on it in the hopes it turns out better than how MEA did. MEA's reputation has been tarnished and dragged through the mud either way so it dosen't matter what happens but with DLC if they should decide to release some there's a chance MEA can salvage some of it's reputation It'll also help keep those that liked the game on their good side as they'll feel that at least they'll get answers to the questions that have been asked in the game. Questions like What is happening to the Quarian Ark? Who is the Benefactor? Will Ryder find a cure for Mum? I would obviously prefer to have DLC's to carry answers to these questions but if there isn't any then there's nothing we can do.

Doubtful Motive Studios will work on anything ME, they work on 2 SW games 2017-2018, and MEA is still a BW IP under ME(TM), any work BW Montréal did will most likely transfer to BW Edmonton, the original ME studio.

So, now EA Motive is working on ME:A's MP? I did not even know who Motive was before yesterday. They are a Montreal based studio that EA created back in July 2015, with similar task like BW Montreal had on giving support for other studios.

Just out of interest, why is Bioware Montreal the only studio who could produce DLC? Indeed actually that is something that I thought for a bit of time, its a possibility that this is the very reason why edmonton is hiring right now, because the team has a lot of work to do if they intend to also create an MEA dlc. That might be the reason why Anthem was pushed back because edmonton has more job as of now. Which is a great thing. DLC is coming. It's the fact that they're consolidating forces into Edmonton and linked to Austin. It's also great that Montreal no longer has to hear about Andromeda and move on to the new IP. It's a shame, whatever studio produced Andromeda in the last 20 months deserves a lot of love. This is a title that can stand on its own two feet, but a tad shorter than the rest because of the miserable launch and the story changing in scope. I see the missed potential in the game and it's make a lot more sense now. It's still a shame. However, moving forward, I think marketing and PR are working in the right direction again. There are still plenty of long-term problems that still need to be addressed as long-term solutions. Maybe Pre-Ordering DLC is not a bad idea. I just wish EA wouldn't mess up buyer's confidence and fans patience with their past marketing and pricing schemes. I see change. Good stuff. It would be great to hear Flynn will return after some time passes and is not recruited into the competition. That's my perspective from the outside looking in. Also, what is this new IP? Tell me it's MVP Baseball... please... I can dream, yo.
